Chapter 6 - Chapter 6:My Psyches

A month after the incident in S.P.K High School, I was finally out of (JDA) Juvenile Detention Academy. My parents came to take me home in the afternoon. They've been trying to release me earlier than usual; they would visit almost every week until I was out.

I saw my parents after a month; they looked worried. I reassured them by hugging them. Naturally, they were confused as they did not expect me to hug them. They couldn't help but think that the juvenile might have disciplined me into a good and caring boy.

"You've changed," my mom said in disbelief.

"Really?" I chuckled lightly. We talked and walked towards the vehicle.

"Indeed, I have changed. I'm not me. I've learnt a lot during my stay in prison. I'm not the person I was a month ago. I've transcended."

As we drove home, my mom, sitting beside my dad who was on the steering, became curious and asked, "Did you intentionally kill that man that day?"

"I did… intentionally. I couldn't control myself," I replied without looking at their faces. I was staring at the moving trees through the car windows.

"But don't blame yourself, baby. It was retaliation… it could happen to anybody," my mom tried to comfort me.

I wasn't feeling regret; instead, I was thankful for the incident.

My mom scaled 78% good, my dad scaled 86% good. It was impossible for me to read their mind. Or more like, it seemed dangerous to read their psyches. One look, I could tell the seven—no, the three sins—in their psyche environment were suffering. I was in the worst-case scenario. I couldn't tell what they were thinking, and they were useless to me.

I couldn't answer. I kept looking through the car windows. She had a worried look on her face.

"These people must really love you… FATE is really against us," a voice spoke in my subconsciousness.

We got home at sunset. I got tired from the journey. I went to my room to rest until I fell asleep.

I opened my eyes, and it was pitch black. Everywhere was dark.

"Where am I? What happened to Love? What about Phil?" I paused for some seconds. "So Phil was the Wrath that was inside me. Come to think of it, what happened after Love was killed? I wonder what happened to the man." I questioned myself as I talked aloud and walked around in the darkness. "I need to know where I am first."

I struggled to find a light source. I walked around till I found a little light ray. It seemed far, so I walked towards it. I stumbled a lot before I got to where the light was being emitted, and I felt a wall's presence. There was a hole in the wall. I heard voices from the other side of the wall, so I took a peep to find out.

I saw five individuals sitting and talking at a round table. The atmosphere was intense.

"We're still not complete!" an angry-looking guy shouted. "Why are they delaying?"

"We tried to bring them in, but they are being adversarial," one with clear fancy glasses replied. I discovered this particular one looked a lot like me.

"They really didn't wanna be part of this plan initially," a fat one replied with his face stuffed up with cake. He had the same face as the other one wearing glasses.

"Let's carry on with the plan and forget about those assholes," a female one said.

"No! We cannot obtain 'it' if the seven of us don't work together. We need to assemble ourselves before Love regains her memories," the angry one replied.

"You all should be on your knees thanking me for my glorious effort in stopping her fast recovering," Pride[1] said.

"No, you guys should be thankful to me for making access and communication possible in this plane, and being able to use this neutco to project your goals, and use your allies' personalities here. You should be on your knees and grateful to me," Greed[2] said and adjusted his glasses.

"Tch, I bow to none!" Pride was angered, and he shattered the table.

"I'm the only one who has the right to get angry. Your fake feeling can never compare to what true hatred and anger is," Wrath complained.

"And I'm the only one who's permitted to appraise and acknowledge thyself, not something a greedy bastard like you should possess," Pride pointed at Greed.

"You being able to project anger, even if we're not able to do so, is a testimony to my research. I am glorious," Greed praised himself again and gave Pride a taunting smile.

"Who do you think you are… acting so high and mighty? I don't like this! Why is everyone envious? Who do you think you are to act and do all these without permission?" Envy[3] complained as well.

She made a new table by prostrating her hand forward and shattered it as well with her fist.

"Permission from who? You, Pride, Wrath, God[4]? Every time we try to do this, we had always faced communication problems because there's no relativity. Think on that, you dumb ass. And I do what I please because I see fit," Greed retaliated.

"How dare you talk to me like that. It seems you don't know your place," Envy replied with a sneer.

Greed refused to answer as he had already stated his claim. He folded his hands and remained calm.

Then I realized that they all had the same faces as mine. It was hard to deduce what was going on… but that was the least of my worries. Everyone was either complaining or proposing; the atmosphere was rowdy with malice and argument.

"It was hard to keep her from retracing her memories. I had to put in extra effort," Gluttony[5] complained.

"And her colleagues keep getting in our damned way. They are always in my damned way. They always take what belongs to me."

Envy couldn't help but stare at Greed's complaints with disgust.

"That's not my damned business. All you need to do, is your assigned job. That's all that matters," Wrath ordered.

Everyone had a mean look on their faces. I watched quietly. They looked nothing like friends, yet they were working together to achieve a common goal.

"We need to obtain this power and erase them from existence. They will be the lab rat for our unified strength," Wrath added.

Suddenly, Greed stood up.

"Something is wrong. I perceive someone's presence," Greed warned.

Everyone had a troubled expression.
