Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 Everyone Here is a Trash

"George, long time no see!"

As soon as George reached the first floor, he heard a shout from above. He turned his head and saw Harry, Hermione, and Ron coming down the marble staircase.

"Good morning, Harry, Hermione, and this is?"

"Hello, my name is Ron. Harry told me you helped him escape from Knockturn Alley last time. That's so cool!"

Ron's tone was a bit excited.

That was the famous Knockturn Alley, a place his two twin brothers dreamed of exploring.

"How is that cooler than you and Harry, flying a magic car from London to school, getting on The Daily Prophet, and even crashing the school's Whomping Willow?"

Hermione sneered sarcastically from the side.

Ron's face stiffened at her words:

"Alright, can you please stop lecturing us? We didn't want that either."

He found that Hermione sometimes was truly a miniature Professor McGonagall, always lecturing them, but in reality, she was sometimes braver than them.

Harry stepped forward, avoiding Ron and Hermione's argument, and asked George:

"We didn't see the Sorting Ceremony yesterday. Which House were you sorted into?"

"Slytherin."

George pulled out the Slytherin emblem that had been distributed yesterday, which he hadn't yet pinned to his chest, from his pocket.

Harry's face immediately showed regret at the sight.

"It would have been great if you were sorted into Gryffindor."

In his heart, he still had some prejudice against Slytherin, especially since Slytherin had those annoying guys from House of Malfoy, and its Dean was Snape, whom he disliked the most.

George smiled:

"Any House is fine. As long as I'm studying at Hogwarts, I'm very satisfied."

"Good morning, George!"

At this moment, a shout came from above again. This time, Ginny, Colin, and Luna came down the marble staircase.

"You know each other?"

Harry and Ron were also surprised to see Ginny greeting George.

"We shared a compartment on the train yesterday. George took good care of us."

Ginny's voice immediately became much softer when she saw Harry, and her movements became more ladylike.

"Thank you for taking care of Ginny."

Ron, whose attitude had changed slightly when he heard George was sorted into Slytherin, regained his positive impression of George and specifically expressed his thanks.

Compared to Harry, he actually had deeper prejudices against Slytherin. Before coming to Hogwarts, he once believed that all bad Wizards came from Slytherin.

"Um... could you please help me take a picture with Mr. Harry Potter?"

Colin handed the camera to Ron, his eyes sparkling as he looked at Harry:

"My name is Colin, and I want to take a picture with you to send to my dad to prove I met you. He's a milkman, and no one in our family except me..."

Ron reluctantly took the camera. When he first met Harry, he wasn't much better than this, so he could understand.

After taking the picture, the group walked and chatted, arriving at the Great Hall.

At this time, many young Wizards were already eating breakfast in the Great Hall. The four long tables were piled high with various foods prepared by the House-elves: pumpkin porridge, pickled herring, bread, eggs, fresh meat, and so on.

Different Houses generally didn't sit together for breakfast, so George went to the Slytherin long table, Luna went to the Ravenclaw long table, and Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Colin went to the Gryffindor long table.

"First-year new student, you seem to know Harry Potter and them?"

As soon as George sat down, Malfoy, with his two cronies Crabbe and Goyle, sat opposite him.

Because of Pansy's teasing yesterday, he had an impression of George. Seeing George chatting happily with Harry, whom he disliked the most, he immediately felt annoyed.

"Consider us friends."

George took a bowl of pumpkin porridge and a plate of fresh meat, replying casually.

Befriending Harry would inevitably offend Malfoy; he had known this for a long time. In fact, even if he didn't befriend Harry, he would still offend Malfoy.

Because he wanted to become the most outstanding student in all of Hogwarts, and even join the Quidditch team, which would definitely steal Malfoy's thunder.

But it didn't matter. A mere Malfoy, not his father Lucius Malfoy, posed no threat to him.

"Friends? Slytherin and Gryffindor are enemies, they can never be friends. You'd best stay away from them, or I'll teach you how to be a Slytherin Wizard!"

Malfoy was clearly displeased with George's attitude, his tone full of warning.

And George replied calmly:

"It's my freedom who I make friends with. You should mind your own business.

I heard that the first place in last year's final exams was Miss Hermione from Gryffindor, and our Slytherin, who held the House Cup for six years, also lost to Gryffindor. You guys are really useless."

When he said the last sentence, he deliberately raised his voice, so much so that even young Wizards at other tables looked over.

"What did you say? You actually called me useless? What right do you, a half-blood, have to call me useless?"

Malfoy was furious at George's words and slammed the table, causing the small mountain of bread piled on it to collapse.

George put down his spoon and looked up at Malfoy:

"From what I understand, our Dean of Slytherin is also a half-blood. Are you discriminating against our Dean?"

"The Dean is naturally different from you. I was only talking about you."

Malfoy's tone immediately softened.

It was normal for pure-bloods to discriminate against half-bloods, but such things couldn't be said openly, because there were many half-bloods in the higher years of Slytherin, and the Dean was also a half-blood.

He had been too angry just now.

"A mere first-year new student, quite the big talk. In Slytherin, we rely on strength, not eloquence."

At this moment, Pansy, who was sitting with the second-years, walked over.

Although she had teased Malfoy yesterday, it didn't mean she wasn't on his side. House of Malfoy was a prominent pure-blood family, and in the future, she might marry Malfoy to elevate her own family.

So, seeing Malfoy being put in a difficult position, she naturally came to help.

"This young lady is right. The excellence of us Slytherin is proven by strength, so I'm not targeting him. I'm saying all of you here, your entire second year, are useless!"

George elegantly wiped his mouth and stood up, declaring in a tone that left countless young Wizards dumbfounded.

"If you weren't useless, how could the House Cup, which we won for six years, end with you?

I, George, am stating it here today: with me, first place will always belong to us Slytherin, and I will win the House Cup back from Gryffindor.

But I am not like you useless people; I will not be hostile to students from other Houses because of this healthy competition.

Competition is competition, and friends are friends, whether it's Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff.

I will make all the friends I should, and I will honor Slytherin with my strength, openly and fairly. That is the true spirit of us Slytherin."
