Chapter 3 - Household Part 2

I remain seated for an hour in my room and nothing much had happened. Aside from, writing every detail that I can remember. starting from that encounter with that man in the Perpetual Church. Because it might give me fresh a recap, if there are still other things that I saw, that are not written yet. But I guess my memory serves me correctly this time around.

Following any updates in the present, I wasn't able to write anything, and I still haven't thought of what to do next.

As of now,

I think I already heard Alysse's voice, thrice. Or maybe countless times. However, as time already passed by, I think she is now washing the dishes in the kitchen.

I look outside to see anything that I can do, but there are only grass and cold breeze in the place.

I left my room and went straight to the bathroom's basin to clear up some excessive makeup that I put, when I had some errands in Carpero.

Just looking at my face makes me wonder- how people can be so interactive with a person like me. Spite of that, I always make weird and repulsive comment.

Come to think of it, is that why I don't have a bunch of friends- or colleagues?

Anyways...

I stretch my face to see the well-being of my skin, though I should hydrate my face before. I already forget that step.

I put another make-up, which obviously it is lighter than before.

"Finally... my face can see the light of the day again."

I hope nothing goes wrong to my skin.

After that... I went to the dining room, which is mixed up with the kitchen.

.

Our kitchen's design is oddly- organized. In a modern and traditional symphony of advancement, of course.

It was built by using bricks and other materials such as limestones. Specifically for the foundations of the main function of the area. From its structure of countertops, all the way to the other side, which is technically separated, because the pit oven was place over there.

In the middle, there are 6 dark framed- bar stools that has a cushioned for a comfortable sitting. Placed in the middle of kitchen, with matching- countertop again.

Added with lovely 'garnishes', Alysse decided to place a vase flower in the middle, housing her favorite flower.

In common occasions, people commonly ask why the kitchen bare structure was made like that. Are they intended?

We we're disappointed to say the least when answering their question. I mean why would someone build a kitchen that is connected to the limestone foundation below the house, the first floor.

I don't understand architecture, really.

Maybe they had just cut some budget, or they're just dense.

.

I found Alysse in the kitchen, where she was currently washing the dishes. At the same time, I also noticed that she set aside the food and rice for me in the spot that I always seat upon, whenever we have to eat together or when I am alone in the night.

The food is covered with a plate and bowl, so when I immediately open it. I still can smell the saltness of Pinakbet, and the steam of its rice.

By the time, Alysse is already placing the wares in a tray, beside the massive window, to dry them off.

I picked up the utensils that had already been placed along with the food. That is when Alysse suddenly asked me a question.

"What did you do?"

"What?"

At first, I didn't clearly understand her question. Because it is in an incomplete sense and I'm already about to welcome my first bite of the lunch.

"I'm referring on what did you do in the market."

"Nothing... I just went there with what you are asking me for."

She turned around "Don't lie to me Amelly.", wiping her hands with the towel that've been hanging on her arms.

I replied in a shook of head, telling nope, I didn't do anything.

I continue eating my food in the table, while strolling through the phone, even if I'm already shitting my pants.

But can I still sugarcoat my lies even if she already knows?

.

"Don't pretend by using that gesture. Come to my study room once you finish eating and putting the trash outside." Alysse left.

I am so done. /Face palm.

4:31 PM.

Outside of Polarsci House.

Linang Tadhana can be seen outside putting out the trashes, her sister ordered.

From thereon, she had a reach of seeing her sister's grief towards nothingness. Room filled with nothing, and only nothing- next to hollow shelf. As if embracing the dark in her shoulders and in bed.

"Seems like it's going to rain again."

Still looking for her sister in the window, Linang Tadhana despite knowing everything from the past, cannot help her sister going down that empty casket again. Frankly, the curse of aging.

The reason?

She once tried to rewrite the past, unbeknownst to Linang Tadhana's jurisdiction, especially to their mother's wishes.

That alone, that single ink that had lay flat in the canvas.

Their brother is solemnly disappointed, and that marked them in etch.

.

Later on, Linang Tadhana spotted three kids who stopped by their house: two male and a female. Shouting and teasing, posing as if they know how to traverse the land they are playing.

"Hey Antonio. Are you sure that we are still in the correct path?" the female child asked uneasily.

Suddenly, picked up a flower, from a growing plant in one of the post lights.

"Yeah! Look. Have this."

The female child spoke how pretty the white flower is, but the other male child spoke how harsh he is.

As the 3 children continues to be playful around their place, despite being somewhat in a loss.

It makes Linang Tadhana to look deeper into the air. "Why can't I see myself in that female child?" But treated it as if it meant nothing at all, when she gazes back to the gaping sun. "Forget it, Aunty."

The kids in circles, jumping in the rocks and fences. The Antonio kid cheerfully whisper, while resting on the ground.

"What if... both of you. Let's just do it this way." The Antonio kid cheerfully said.

"Pass."

"Idiot, it's already down evening.

"Hey come on!" Antonio lightly-lashes out.

Linang Tadhana refuse to only watch the children and decided to greet the children who were physically exhausted. "Are you guys, okay?"

The children were startled aback. So that the female child, whispered to the other male kid.

"Let's head home now."- and looks like she's about to cry.

Linang Tadhana glances over to the female child and expresses her soft smile. She asked the children, "Why not wait in the stairs while I'm getting an apple juice for the three of you. Will that be alright with you, little miss?"

From thereon, Linang Tadhana cannot look directly onto their refrigerator, as if she had been witnessing their lack of expenses.

Not taking much of her time sighing, she decidedly to just greet the children again with her promised apple juice. Yet- when she's already stepping out of the door, she finds the female child, left alone in blue.

She approached the child. "You still want some apple juice?" and the girl replied in a timid response- "Daddy said don't.... accept anything from- strangers."

The response made Linang Tadhana's eyes widened in a friction.

In her preference, she put down the apple juice- as well as the glasses originally for the three of them; with her grace like a falling dusk, she settled next to the child.

"But do I look like a bad stranger?"

In bashful, the child replied. "N- no."

Linang Tadhana let out a warm chuckle, and to further ease, she softly patted the child's head.

 -Alysse Aphella-

Though the echoes of our shared days still hum in my bones. I still remember how you use every tone.

I, carrying the ache of yesterday- did not know how your final breath was stolen by fate. I, the one you cherished like a sacred flame, now lives in the mountaintops; I- was left in the dark as your light flickered in, and then out.

How many moons have passed, since it's time of my shedding? And stepped once more into this realm?

When I had the chance to meet you again, I am wearing the cloak of Maria. Though had a different appearance, disguised, you never saw the storm in her eyes.

Yes, you knew nothing of the soul behind the smile, yet you showered Maria with offerings such as sweets that she long hated, and such things that taste like ashen. While the beginning of your paragraph and the final metaphor in your sentences you sent were ugly. They were both truthfully engrave with your devotion; making her heart skips a motion.

You knelt- to Maria and before the goddess.

You were pleading for her grace, but still, you wandered in full blind- through the aisle of the goddess's realm.

You arrived in their homeland.

The wind tells whispers to her kin, and that put a shame in goddess's byname, shape in curled around.

By night, I am Maria—the mountain's muse you always seek. By day, I am Yumi'Ara—the goddess you always spoke.

I didn't just fall for you. I fell through you, into every dream, in every illusion, in every truth you never ask for me to see.

But to think even further-

You were still pleading for her gaze.

She chose to be blinded by love, by which her matriarch forbids her.

How could Maria not try not to get feel ashamed again, in spite of always having a feel for every of it? When the decree of my mother's watchful eye binds me in the dim alone- even more.

But how could you?

How could you let your blade pierced and hollowed a life for me—one tangled in turmoil. One that I couldn't forget. You were supposed to be with me, holding my hand. But I guess it is true in one way of another.

When I asked you: Which of the stars decided for you to this?

Why didn't you respond? Why did you push me again and strike me further with your sword?

Was it because the softness you adored in disguise, or is it because you always had the storm in your eyes?

I did not lie. No one did.

Multiple times that I was both the mortal and the myth you knew in thereafter— Yet you still chose the shadow, despite already knows my secret.

Loved the echo, but not the shrine.

Her melody, over our best symphony?

I'm so sorry.

It was in fail-off tuning.
