7:00 PM
After grueling squats and numerous sermon Amaryllis's ears received-exhaled. Her body starts to reach the stage- where would one person only thinks their bed after a tiring day. Ultimately, her growling stomach, and rather filthy figure- eyes for the rooms where she could replenish every bit of her vitality.
For a third time today- Amaryllis looking in the mirror with her somewhat-blurry vision, she look at her hair that are swept with dirt and wind- face carrying the moisture of ever-tomorrow. The mirror turns her appearance into looking like a sprout in their garden.
"My god- I really have the resemblance to my sister."
She leans on the wall, and letting out a dissipate sound; similar to a dying person.
"heuuahhhh."
"I'll just head straight to the shower then."
While Amaryllis is filling the tub with water, she suddenly remember the guy again- with her nose's wings and the edge of her lips, both reaching the farther ends.
If only I hadn't meet that guy in the church- tsk.
But let's forget that. "What happened, happens."
I guess that should be one of my catchphrases, starting today.
The tub now filled with water, Amaryllis reach for a small narrow on the wall, where bottles of soap, and shampoo were placed.
She tilts her head. "Huh?" -finding a specific bottle, she removes them one by one and put them back right away. To check it carefully, if it is hiding at the back.
"Not here too?"
Amaryllis now- scratching her head, she went full searching on.
"Not on this side...Not at the bottom...it's not on the window too?"
Is it outside?
.
Amaryllis left the bathroom and instead of asking Alysse, she rather checked to see if the vial was on the shelf that is pinned on the wall- right' after the door.
Once more, she removes the items- but this time, she put it down on the floor first.
What a drain- she breathed out, excessively.
"Is it above?"
.
Hinggkkk! The gap between her mouth and the surface tension of the ocean- just one more.
I guess I can't.
She went for another hike. Iggnkkkk!
If only I am tall enough.
"What are you doing?" Alysse confusingly asked, seeing Amaryllis right after she left her study room.
"Getting what you put up there, don't you think?"
"What? The Bar Soap?"
"You only see me as your maid sometimes," annoyed, Amaryllis crosses her arms- "Aren't you?" as her brow lifted.
followed- "No... Actually." she close her eyes, and exhale slip past her lips; her gaze stayed fix below, before looking at Alysse again. "Why not you help me since you're the one who put up the vial."
"Hmmm." Alysse didn't give a toss. Barely?, yes. "You know there is a stool behind you."
Amaryllis still in fixative-sassy look; comedic-ly, she looks at her down-right and then she looks at her sister again.
.
Finally, Amaryllis poured the vial she went on full searching, and now- carefully dipping herself on a hot, yet relaxing temperature, primary feeling it first with her tiptoes.
"Whoooo- It's soooo refreshing... It is perfect." she slide back on a soapy and rich water. "Burp-burp-burp-burp-burp-burp-burp" she talks while half-submerging her head, close-eyes.
(what she really had said to herself-"Nothing really beats a cold bath, especially when in a place as beautiful as this." )
Immediately went back to a laid back posture, she sniffs every air that had gone through before her. Still, closing her eyes.[1]
"I should ask Mother for the recipe."
Suddenly, a leaf falls to her bath and she notice it right away, one-eyed.
One more time, her annoyance starts to trigger again, but only in a buoyant demeanor. She looks at the window.
"Honestly, why are there vines connected in the bathroom?"- following with her eyes that slowly narrows at both present ends, up until she complete it while getting mesmerize at the vines ends.
"Is that just how she really goes when her body is aging all over again?" her smile tightened as she unravels over simple detail.
Baffled, she can only left a sigh, nonetheless.
"Nevermind... Be patient like Aunty Serene."
Perplex about the vines again, she began to talk inside her head.
It's not that our bath is big really-, also not too small.,.. but I guess, it kind of elevates the coziness here... I might trim them tomorrow, or once I get annoyed again... What matters is that, I have a private time again.
Out of nowhere, her sister knocks on the door.
"Amelly?"
"Why!?"-I should really cut those vines, tonight.
"A summon from Mother. You have one."
:| Sigh. "Really?"
I'm not buying that.
"Yes, I'm not lying. Come to my study room. Lots were placed over there."
She's lyin.
"Let me eat first after this, okay!?"
Alysse did not reply after that.
.
.
.
"Alysse!? You still awake? I'm going out for a bit!" Amaryllis knocked softly and opened the door; on the room where Alysse's bedroom was.
"Alright. Just lock the door if you're going to leave until midnight."
Before 9:00 PM
"Guess no one would recognize me if I wore a hoodie outside this night."
As Amaryllis stepped outside, just after their stairs. The collected-night air that brushed through and against to her skin; now carries the scent of grass from the mountaintops.
And as the moon hangs in eclipse; bright-howl in an instant. Amaryllis surely, felt that the night is sailing with the breeze again. As it also leaves paint of silver-wash on rooftop and leaves. She praised, "What are you up to this time, Aunty?"
She stretches her arms, "hiiiighhhhm! pheowww.", silently-navigating the path, "I wish that store across the next hill, is still open." She opens her phone, and wear an earphones to vibe into some music.
A j-pop artist that has a mainly twist of rock, and some rap elements in her song.
She browse in the artist's music-streaming= social media platform.
"Ugh, still no new single from her... Guess I'll listen to this."- she continues to walk while singing... not in a tune. "La..♪la..la..lala♬."
Down the path, she spotted a couple that is flirting like laughing crocodiles in the bench. At least, Amaryllis felt annoyed; she suddenly felt the growling sensation of her stomach again.
She stop from walking. "Damn... I'm single as heck." -quickly tap through her phone again. "Might as well listen to this instead."
.
After Amaryllis gets past the crocodile-laughing couple. She yelled out, "GO HOME DORKS!" and whispered right after to herself. "Maybe I should be the one who needs to sleep now." -her shoulders get sag forward, as if the weight of that loneliness had settled, all in one.
Finally turning left, she gets pass another bench. But didn't have another crocodile laughing couple. Instead, it is a drunk man.
"Creep..." Ihhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh -disgusted.
Be in good riddance,... Just hope this one doesn't get rude once I get pass... -she hurriedly her steps. I might really smack him without warning!!!.....
.
Amaryllis looks back if the drunken man is still there. Gladly, he's still resting soundfully.
"Weirdos. They should be sleeping tonight."
.
After many hurried steps, she spotted another bench. Not so far, from when the resting drunk man was.
"Gonna park myself here for a minute then."-she looks at her phone. "It's already before 10:00 PM?... Bruh, they should build multiple branch. It's so far- my lord."
Eventually, she stayed at the bench for more than 2 hours. Just scrolling and watching some short form videos. But later on she noticed the time, "Ahh." -in a vibration.
She went back on walking again.
.
Thereafter, she stumbled another bench. However, there is some belongings in the road, that must have been left by other people, but since Amaryllis isn't a blockhead. She noticed it that was the same bag that the female crocodile had it earlier.
She run towards the bench to further identify.
Shit... Did they got kidnapped?
Should I have just let them be?
Becoming alarmed, Amaryllis begun to hold the leather bag- tightly.
Amaryllis looks at every side of her.
"Is anyone there!?"
How about Alysse? -she quickly drew her phone out.
Perplex. She have miscalls?
Losing her composure even more, she kept shifting her head, and biting the skin of her fingers. Is something happening? I'm feeling nervous.
Answer it. Answer it. Answer it.
...
..
Got it. "Hello Alysse?!"
...
..
tut-tut-tu-tut-tu.
She dropped the phone?... Wait,... there is no signal.
Her gaze swept through her surroundings once more- but only that she can identify are the shadows.
Swallowing through every shape of the hills from a distance, soon being diminish by a close lamppost, and then... by the moonlight.
But soon-after, her eyes drifted away again from it's bleak, snagging on something she needed more. Yet- the air tugged her attention way most.
Amaryllis received a message from Alysse.
Quick.
.typing~~
Before the next squiggly mark appears on the conversation. Her foot immediately draws, scraping the path backward, pounding her further.
.typing~
And every inch of her movement that were quicker than before, her breath soon follows with bigger hauls along.
Someone's coming for you.
As she gets farther, and slowly getting closer to their home.
The bench came into a view,... again. And, it immediately stops Amaryllis from going onwards.
There is someone... leaning.
Framed by somber of the dark, peeling-paint of someone's lives. Strangling him out of his air. It prickled Amaryllis's back of her head.
-Her phone rings.
Tsk- I can't see her message.
Suddenly, she felt something behind her; she glanced over her shoulders. Grasping the situation, she understood something might have been shifted in her presence.
She felt another sensation.
The cold from her- separated under her foot, thickening the obscure-sensation that pulls someone in an anchored place.
She sensed it- her body jolted into action, propelling her upward, before the grip could tighten up to her hips. "Close." -Amaryllis scoffs.
.
She is nimble,...
.
but she isn't sharp.
"I am."
Amaryllis chin snapped upward. Fixating their gaze on one wavelength alone.
They gotten drawn to each other.
"What?"
.
.
.
You are confronting a coven.
[1] I'll do it too, yeah... Nasty.
