Chapter 55 - Ch.55

Although it had made preparations, Arceus still couldn't resist the wave of energy decay. The basic elemental energies of the eighteen plates—Grass, Fire, Flying, Electric, Water, and Ground—broke free and scattered across the world.

This is how the world's vegetation, water sources, air, land, and weather were formed.

With this, the history of the world's evolution officially began. In Arceus's memories, this period was known as the Barren Period, as there was no life yet.

After a very long time, as it slept, Arceus continued to observe the world's evolution.

Due to the compression of the Earth's crust, the first giant Pokémon, Regigigas, was born in the Earth's core.

It constantly used the highly concentrated crustal material around it to create similar giants.

In this way, many identical Regigigas appeared. They, in turn, began to carry the land, causing plate collisions, compressions, and drifts.

As a result, continents, oceans, and landmasses gradually took shape, and the world's geography began to emerge.

This plate movement had a profound impact on the change of the landscape and the formation of mountain ranges, so it was later called the Orogeny.

At the beginning of the Orogeny, a pink Pokémon was also born from a special rock formation. This place was called the Tree of Beginning, and its name was Mew! Because it possessed the most fundamental genes of the world, it was also known as the ancestor of all Pokémon.

Afterward, the world's evolution began to accelerate. From the magma energy deep within the Earth, a red figure opened its eyes. From the ghostly energy of the deep sea, a blue figure loomed. From the vast ozone layer of the sky, a green dragon soared.

Using the energy of nature, the embodiment of the land—Groudon, the embodiment of the sea—Kyogre, and the embodiment of the sky—Rayquaza were born during this Ancient Period.

At the same time, on a distant continent, the gods representing creation, destruction, and balance—Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde—were born.

Ho-Oh, Lugia, and the gods of Thunder, Ice, and Fire also appeared, taking control of life, the oceans, and the weather, respectively.

At this point, the entire world had complete ocean currents, weather, and natural environments to support the birth of life.

Time passed, and besides various Pokémon, humans also gradually appeared on the stage of history. With their powerful ability to learn and create, the relationship between humans, Pokémon, and nature continuously changed, from initial fear and resistance to later enslavement and war, and finally to harmonious coexistence.

As the world progressed, early humans learned to use writing to record history. The various strange-shaped writings gave rise to a special Pokémon, Unown.

Humans revered Regigigas, the initiator of the Orogeny, as the Lord of the Land and built a temple as its resting place. They also often went there to worship.

Because of this, Regigigas had a great affection for humans. It would awaken whenever the world's energy became unbalanced and create new giants with its violent energy to solve the crisis.

With this, the Barren Period ended, and the world officially entered the Period of Evolution of Life and Matter.

This era began with a seven-colored meteorite. The impact of this giant meteorite from outer space caused another energy decay in the world.
