.

In a blink, Bardock left the place behind.

The woman was impressive—so strong it even caught his attention for a moment—but Bardock wasn't the type to get distracted just because someone looked good. He wasn't some rookie.

He focused, using his instincts. Her power level was insane—at least in the tens of millions.

"That kind of strength… she could wipe out this planet with no effort," Bardock thought. "On this world, she's untouchable."

Watching her meditation, Bardock noticed how she drew in the planet's energy, molding it into herself. It was different from ki training. "Hmph… interesting. Looks like they've built a whole system around this."

If not for his own sharp mind, he might have missed the details. This planet was dangerous, full of secrets. Someday, when the time was right, he'd come back to study it.

But right now, he had one priority.

"The Dragon Balls… I need to get to Namek. Make my wish."

After all these years, his chance was finally here. He couldn't waste it.

With that, Bardock locked onto the next planet and vanished with Instant Transmission.

For him, the past few hours of wandering counted as rest. Traveling non-stop through space wasn't exhausting physically, but even Instant Transmission could take its toll if he used it endlessly.

The moment he disappeared, space itself rippled. Almost no one could have sensed it.

But the woman did. Her eyes opened, emerald-green and full of surprise. She looked around, unsettled.

For just an instant, she had felt it—a presence far above her, watching.

"…It's been nearly a thousand years since I felt that. Was it an illusion? Or… have I touched something higher?" she whispered.

Looking up, she didn't just see her planet's night sky. She saw the whole universe stretching out before her. She wanted to reach it, to step into a higher realm. But she knew she couldn't—not with her current strength, not without a special ability.

Hours later, in deep space, Bardock appeared on another world—the seventy-seventh planet he'd checked.

Again, disappointment. It was a gas planet, home to strange beings, but not the Namekians he sought. He didn't bother to explore further.

"Continue," he muttered, preparing to jump again.

But then something strange happened. A pull. A signal, almost.

Bardock's sharp eyes shifted toward the darkness. Nearly five light-years away, something was calling to him.

"…An illusion? Or… something else?"

He smirked. Space was full of the unknown. Treasure, danger, or something beyond imagination. And Bardock was the type who had to see for himself.

Confidence burned in him. His power had climbed for fifty years straight. At this point, even if a God of Destruction stood before him, Bardock wouldn't flinch.

"Hmph… let's see what's out there."

With a thought, he vanished again.

Moments later, Bardock reappeared in another corner of space—and stopped in shock.

There it was. A planet unlike anything he'd seen before.

It looked solid, but also fluid. Like black mud, moving and shifting, pulsing as if alive.

"What the hell…? I can sense countless life forces, but at the same time, it's like nothing's there. A living planet?"

His curiosity spiked. Extending his perception, Bardock scanned the whole thing.

Then his eyes widened.

"It's pulling at my mind… absorbing my spirit energy?!" His fist clenched. "Don't tell me… this thing is alive. No… there's something inside it!"

For the first time in a long while, Bardock felt a real jolt of shock.

Probing closer, Bardock expanded his mental power to cover the strange planet.

Even though it was draining his energy, his mind was strong enough to see through the truth.

"It's just like pouring water into the ocean… no matter how much it drains, it won't affect me much."

His eyes narrowed. "So, you're not a planet at all. You're alive. Hiding like this… your disguise is impressive. Those countless energy signatures I sensed… they weren't lives at all. Just fake ki!"

Bardock smirked. He didn't feel angry—just intrigued. This thing wasn't lying, it was baiting him. And now that he was here, its true purpose was about to show.

To put it simply… this wasn't a planet. It was a living creature.

Suddenly, a deafening rumble shook the void.

The starry sky itself twisted from the sound waves.

Bardock's eyes sharpened. "So, you already noticed me. You sensed the endless energy in my body and thought you could swallow me whole, huh?"

No more holding back—he focused. A black, fluid-like world below cracked open like a mouth, ready to devour him.

"You really wanna eat me? Heh… do you even have the right?" Bardock chuckled coldly, raising his palm.

Golden energy burst to life, forming a blazing sphere. Its power was enough to erase a star—or even collapse a small galaxy if unleashed fully.

"Let's see how you handle this."

The living planet roared, twisting its massive body into countless fluid columns shooting upward like hungry tendrils. But Bardock stood unmoved.

"Pathetic." He sneered. "Creature or not, you should understand the gap between us!"

With a swift motion, Bardock hurled the glowing sphere straight into its core.

BOOM.

The impact shattered the silence of space. Explosions tore through the monster from inside, blasting flames and energy outward.

The living planet writhed in agony, its roar shaking meteors into dust. Then, in a final violent convulsion, its colossal body collapsed and scattered into nothing.

Even a being with special abilities was meaningless against overwhelming power.

When the smoke cleared, Bardock's sharp senses picked something up.

"Huh… what's that?"

Floating in the wreckage, he spotted a glowing crystal, about the size of his fist. He grabbed it, and a strange, refreshing energy pulsed through his body.

"Could this be its core? A crystal heart?" Bardock muttered, studying it. "Strange… something like this should've been destroyed by my blast. Yet it's perfectly intact. Interesting…"

Deciding not to waste time, he stored the crystal away. "I'll figure it out later. First priority… the Dragon Balls on Namek."

With that, he vanished instantly.

Thousands of light years away, Bardock appeared above another planet. This one was different. His senses stretched over its surface and detected powerful life forms—far stronger than most worlds.

His eyes widened.

"Warriors with battle power over one hundred million… and so many of them?!"

He clenched his fists in excitement. "Wait… don't tell me… this blue world… is this Namek?"
