Sladon was pissed off by Bardock's words.
For a moment he stayed calm, then his anger exploded like a storm.
"Hmph!! Saiyan... yeah, your power is great, I'll admit that! But don't think for a second that what you saw was my true strength!" Sladon's face twisted with rage. His killing intent flared, warping the space around him.
His power was so high, even the air itself bent under it. If he wanted, he could drag another dimension down and crush this planet.
Bardock smirked, unfazed.
"Then quit talking and show me. Don't bore me."
It had been too long since Bardock met a decent opponent. Sladon could at least give him some exercise.
"Tch… you'll regret mocking me, Saiyan!" Sladon roared. He raised both hands, gathering a dark red sphere of energy.
The ball swelled bigger and bigger, until the entire sky of Namek trembled. The pressure crushed the air, the planet's atmosphere darkening as if night had fallen. The hurricane winds howled as the power surged.
All across Namek, life trembled in fear. Even Elder Moori was shaking.
Bardock crossed his arms, looking at the massive attack like it was nothing.
"So you're really gonna blow up your own planet just to try and kill me? Pathetic. You really think that's enough to take me down, Sladon?"
With a scream, Sladon hurled the enormous energy ball downward. The weight of its pressure made the entire ground quake, gravity multiplying tenfold.
For anyone else, it was the end.
But Bardock? He only raised one finger.
BOOM!!!
The tip of his finger stopped the gigantic blast dead in its tracks. The shockwave split the sky, tearing through the air, yet Bardock's finger didn't budge.
"What… what?!" Sladon's eyes went wide in disbelief.
Bardock smirked.
"I told you. Attacks like this won't kill me. Now… take it back!"
With a flick, Bardock's finger launched the attack back. The massive energy sphere rocketed upward like a comet, flying straight back at Slaton.
The scene looked just like when Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta sent Omega Shenron's blast flying in GT.
Sladon panicked, dodging at the last second. If he hadn't, even he would've been vaporized. His heart pounded, sweat dripping down his face.
"H-How… how did you do that?!"
That attack had been nearly all his power—90%! And Bardock stopped it with a finger.
The Saiyan… was truly terrifying.
"No one's ever crushed me like this… not in all these years," Sladon muttered, trembling.
Bardock's voice was calm, almost cold.
"Is it really that hard to understand? Against real power… your tricks mean nothing."
Sladon screamed, refusing to accept it.
"No!! You're not just some ordinary Saiyan!! Who are you really?!"
Bardock laughed.
"Heh. The name's Bardock… King of the Saiyans!!"
Sladon's eyes bulged.
"Y-You're… the Saiyan King?!"
Bardock didn't even respond to him. His smirk widened.
"You've shown me all your tricks… now it's my turn."
Golden light flickered around his body.
Sladon's heart sank. Fear like he'd never felt before wrapped around him. He swallowed hard, trembling.
Then—
FWOOM!!!
Golden energy exploded from Bardock. His black hair shimmered and turned to gold.
The true power of a Super Saiyan had finally awakened.
Above mid-air.
Hearing Bardock's words, Sladon's face twisted in fear, sweat soaking his clothes. His whole body trembled, a cold chill crawling through him.
He had never felt this before. Not even the monsters he'd faced before gave him such terror.
All his life, he ran wild through the universe with almost no rivals. But now… stronger fighters were appearing everywhere. The old era was gone, and a new age had begun.
That's why he came back to Namek. He wanted the Dragon Balls to unlock his hidden power, desperate to grow stronger so he wouldn't be left behind.
But instead… he met this Saiyan.
No—he met the King of Saiyans.
His earlier mockery now felt pathetic.

In that moment of despair, Sladon snapped. His spirit shifted, and with it his power surged. The barrier inside him shattered, pushing him into a new realm.
"Hahahaha! That's right!! I used to never back down from anything! I should thank you, King of Saiyans! You helped me find myself again!!"
He roared, eyes blazing.
"Super Saiyan or not—I won't lose!! Feel my power after breaking my limits!!!"
Sladon opened his bloody mouth wide. A deep red light gathered in his throat, twisting space itself.
BZZZZZ!!
A colossal energy beam, dark crimson in color, shot forward—twenty meters wide, ripping through the sky. Space warped in its path, ready to tear apart.
But Bardock didn't flinch. He didn't even care.
Truth be told, Bardock had already lost interest. This so-called "awakening" only proved Slaton had reached his limit. No "Super Namekian" after all—just the peak of his normal potential.
"Is this your last move? Then… this ends here."
He raised his right hand, calm as ever. Energy spiraled in his palm, spinning into a small, black vortex.
BOOM!
The red beam crashed into Bardock's hand—only to be swallowed whole. The vortex devoured everything until the blast simply vanished.
Sladon 's eyes went wide. "This… this is impossible!!"
He had poured every ounce of his new power into that attack. To see it erased so casually broke him inside.
Panting hard, he stammered, "Wh-what kind of monster are you?!"
Before he could blink, Bardock appeared right in front of him. Their eyes met—Sladon's fear exploded.
"D-damn you… don't look down on me!!!"
Desperate, Sladon launched a final barrage of punches and kicks, sharp and fast. But Bardock's invisible aura formed a perfect shield. Each strike bounced back, the recoil numbing Sladon's fists.
Gritting his teeth, he glared in rage. If looks could kill, Bardock would be dead a thousand times.
"Are you finished?" Bardock smirked.
In the next instant, Bardock's fist moved faster than sight.
BOOM!!
His punch slammed into Sladon's gut like a thunderbolt.
Sladon's eyes bulged. "I-impossible…!!" Blood sprayed from his mouth as pain exploded through his body. His vision blurred. His consciousness slipped away.
And just like that—Sladon fell.
The battle was over.
Even after breaking his limits, even after reaching power few could dream of, Sladon was nothing before Bardock. The gap was too great.
If Sladon had truly become a Super Namekian, maybe Bardock would've used his full Super Saiyan power… maybe. But as he was now?
He was just another ant crushed beneath the King of Saiyans.
