Bardock vs. Sladun's Men

"What a rude bunch. You really think you can take me on?" Bardock smirked as the twelve aliens closed in step by step.

He didn't even see them as a threat. To him, their power was nothing.

Over one hundred million battle power? Maybe that means something in a small galaxy… but in his eyes, they were just ants.

Narrowing his eyes, Bardock glanced at Sladun. Why send these weaklings? He should've known after that energy blast earlier that I'm not someone his men can handle.

"You really think your men can stop me?" Bardock asked with a mocking smile.

The aliens froze for a moment, then looked at each other with cruel grins.

Sladun just crossed his arms. "Don't get cocky. So you stopped one of my attacks—big deal! These warriors are the top fighters in the universe! Even if one or two can't take you, all twelve together? Let's see you resist that!"

He sneered. "Conceit always has a price. I'll give you one last chance—join me now, or be crushed!"

...

"Ha! Conceited fool!" one alien barked.

"You're just one guy!" another spat.

"Doesn't even know what death is!"

"Enough talk—kill him!!"

The two leaders shot forward instantly, breaking the sound barrier with terrifying speed.

But to Bardock, their movements were like a turtle crawling.

"Hmph. Since you're so eager to die, I'll grant your wish."

In a blur, Bardock raised his hand and struck. One blow each—precise, effortless. Both aliens doubled over, clutching their guts, vomiting bile as they collapsed, unable to move.

The crowd gasped. Even Sladun's face twitched in surprise.

"One punch… each?!" he growled. "Tch! What are you waiting for? Jamie! Sole! Labru! The rest of you—attack!!"

...

"Yes!"

"Understood!"

"All together!!"

The remaining ten rushed in under the lead of Sladun's strongest four.

Bardock stood calm, his face unreadable. "No matter how many ants there are… they're still just ants."

In seconds—

Crack!

Crash!!

BOOM!!!

It was over.

Ten warriors lay shattered on the ground, broken bodies crumbling like glass. Unlike the first two, these ten were struck down instantly, their lives snuffed out without mercy.

The survivors stared in horror. The fear was so strong they wanted to run, even through the pain tearing at their bodies.

But there was nowhere to go.

Bardock stepped forward, his eyes sharp. "So tell me, Sladun… did you really think your men would stop me? Or did you want me to clean up your disloyal followers for you?"

The two wounded aliens on the ground flinched, realizing Bardock was right—Sladun had used them.

Sladun's expression didn't change. "And what if I did? What if I didn't? Either way, you killed my men in an instant… Impressive. Very impressive."

He raised his palm, energy surging far stronger than before. The power was ten times what he had used against the Great Elder. The pressure was suffocating—then, just as suddenly, he dispersed it.

Sladun turned his cold gaze to the two injured subordinates. "Did you really think I didn't notice your betrayal? The moment you heard about the Dragon Balls, your loyalty vanished. That greed in your hearts… unforgivable. Die!"

His hand dropped. A crushing force slammed down, and in an instant, both aliens' bodies ruptured.

The ground shook as silence filled the air.

Bardock didn't flinch. Instead, his eyes narrowed with respect. Decisive. No hesitation, even against his own men. He's ruthless… in a way, not too different from me.

But the Great Elder's face twisted in pain. To him, Sladun was absolute evil. Even Bardock looked like a villain now. Surely, he thought, Bardock only saved him because of the Dragon Balls.

"So, I did you a little favor, huh?"

Bardock folded his arms and smirked at Sladon.

Now that he had gotten a closer look at Sladon's power and methods, Bardock could tell this guy was no joke. His strength wasn't something simple you could measure in numbers. Maybe… maybe he'd already touched a level even higher than most could imagine.

If this guy's a Super Namekian… and if he has transformations like Piccolo did later on… his power might be way beyond what I first thought.

Still, Bardock knew—even if Sladon was strong, the gap between them was huge. His own base strength had already grown beyond reason.

Sladon smirked back.

"That's right. I should thank you. Thanks to you, I cleaned up those useless traitors under me."

He spread his arms wide.

"Now, it's just the two of us. No distractions. You came here for the Dragon Balls of Namek, didn't you? So tell me… who are you really?"

His tone carried the arrogance of someone undefeated for years. In the universe, warriors with power levels over one hundred million were rare. Sladon had gotten used to being untouchable.

Bardock didn't bother hiding anymore.

His eyes narrowed, and he said flatly:

"I'm a Saiyan."

Sladon's expression shifted. "Saiyan…?! You…!"

Memories rushed through his mind. Decades ago, Saiyans were nobodies—an obscure race with no standing. But in just a few short decades, they had risen to power, spreading influence across entire galaxy clusters.

The Warrior Race. The Fighting Nation. Saiyans.

Almost every major force in the universe had heard their name by now.

"I see… So you're from Planet Sadala's warrior race. The Saiyans that shook the Galaxy System and spread across galaxies in just a few decades. And now, you've come all the way here… to Namek."

Bardock raised an eyebrow. "Huh. Didn't expect you to know that much about us."

Sladon chuckled. "Know you? Heh… the Saiyans are the talk of the universe right now. Everyone's praising your rise. I didn't think I'd meet one of you here of all places."

Then his smile turned sharp.

"With power like yours, you're no ordinary Saiyan. I've heard rumors of a 'Super Saiyan.' But the legends say his hair turns gold. That's not you, is it?"

Bardock grinned. "What's wrong? Disappointed I'm not the one from the stories?"

"Not at all," Sladon sneered. "Super Saiyan or not, you won't beat me. I want to see your true strength!"

Without another word, he lunged forward. His fist tore through the air, a strike so powerful it could shatter a small planet. The shockwave crushed everything in its path.

But Bardock only smiled wider. He calmly raised his hand—

BOOM!

The clash shook the air. Dust, rocks, and energy were obliterated into nothing.

Sladon's eyes widened. "Wha…?! That was half my power—and you stopped it like nothing!"

To him, that much strength should have been unstoppable. Even if Bardock survived it, he shouldn't have been able to block it so casually. But Bardock's palm had absorbed the attack completely, like the depths of an ocean swallowing a stone.

"That's it? Don't tell me that was your best shot," Bardock taunted, his smile never fading.

Sladon's teeth clenched. "You're looking for death!"

He unleashed a furious storm of blows. Fists, kicks, strikes that could level mountains and split stars. Each attack carried enough force to crush worlds.

But Bardock didn't flinch. Every move was blocked with one hand, his calm demeanor unshaken.

Sladon's thoughts raced. Impossible! I'm hitting him with seventy percent of my power, and he's not even moving…!

Finally, with one last heavy punch—BANG!—he leapt back, panting, eyes wide with disbelief.

For the first time, Sladon looked at Bardock not as just another strong fighter, but as a true threat. A danger.

Bardock tilted his head, smirk still in place.

"What's wrong? Running out of tricks already?"

His tone was mocking, almost bored.

Come on, Bardock thought, don't tell me this is all you've got. Show me… show me if you can transform. Show me if you're a Super Namekian!
