"Father…" Aimo's weak voice escaped his lips.

His vision was blurry, but Bardock's sudden arrival gave him the strength to stay on his feet, even though he was at his limit.

"To last this long… and even break through to Super Saiyan 2 on your own," Bardock said, steadying him. "You really are my son, Aimo."

Bardock didn't scold him. He knew Aimo felt ashamed for almost losing, but that wasn't important now. What mattered was that in the middle of crisis, Aimo shattered his limits without help. That was already an achievement.

And the opponent standing before them was none other than the God of Destruction, Beerus.

Beerus smirked as he noticed Bardock. "Hmph? Finally decided to show yourself? I thought you were gonna hide forever."

Whis floated beside him, smiling as always. "So, Bardock returns. How interesting this will be."

Bardock looked down at Aimo, who was slumping against him. With a touch, he shared a bit of his own energy. Aimo's breathing steadied, though he was still exhausted.

"Father…" Aimo tried to speak, but Bardock cut him off.

"Stay back, Aimo. This isn't a fight you can touch."

Bardock's eyes locked on Beerus, who was sitting casually on the Saiyan throne. The two warriors stared at each other.

Beerus immediately recognized him. "So, you're the Saiyan I saw through Whis's vision. Seeing you in person is better than any projection."

Bardock clenched his fists. He had already sensed Beerus's power—immeasurable, godly. The number his mind showed him was nothing compared to the true strength hiding underneath.

[As expected. Beerus really is powerful.] Bardock's blood boiled with excitement. For years, he dreamed of standing before a God of Destruction. Now, his chance had come.

"Father…" Aimo backed away, knowing this was beyond him. The air itself grew heavy, the palace trembling.

Saiyan King Bardock and God of Destruction Beerus glared at each other.

Bardock's aura exploded into a golden storm, shaking the palace and even the land far beyond.

"Heh… impressive for a mortal," Beerus said with a smirk. His purple eyes flashed, and with a wave of divine energy, Bardock's raging aura was brushed aside like dust.

"You're strong, God of Destruction," Bardock replied calmly, though his tone was sharp. "But almost killing my son just to drag me out? That's low… even for you."

Beerus chuckled. "Oh? You know who I am. Smart Saiyan. You've got ability, I'll give you that." His curiosity grew as he looked Bardock up and down.

"What do you want from me, Beerus?" Bardock asked, smiling coldly.

Beerus stood from the throne, towering over him. "You should feel honored. I came here myself, to your little planet. Do you know why? Because you pulled the Supreme Kai Sword and ruined my seal. You messed up my setup. So tell me—shouldn't I have the right to come knocking?"

Bardock narrowed his eyes. He had guessed as much, but hearing it directly only fueled him further.

"So that's it…" Bardock muttered. "The Old Kai warned me about you. He told me to unlock my potential because of this day." His aura flared again. "Well, I'm here. You've found me. Now what?"

Beerus's grin widened. "Heheheh. Now… I want to test you."

Whis silently observed, intrigued. [I barely paid attention when Bardock appeared in this era… and yet he's grown this strong. Even I can't read the full depth of his power now. Interesting…]

The tension peaked. Space warped inside the palace as Bardock and Beerus's energy clashed.

Then Beerus moved first—so fast it was almost instant. He swung his fist straight at Bardock's face.

"BOOM!" The palace quaked as the shockwave blasted outward.

Bardock caught Beerus's punch with one hand. His face was calm, but his arm tingled from the crushing weight behind it.

Beerus's eyes widened slightly. "Ohhh? You blocked it." Then he laughed, fire sparking in his gaze. "This is fun. You're the first mortal to ever block my attack. You've made me excited, Bardock!"

Bardock smirked, his aura flaring again. "Then stop talking, Beerus. Let's fight."

Beerus's smile turned savage. "Finally. A Saiyan who can entertain me."

The two vanished in a flash, leaving only destruction in their wake.

Whis floated up with a small smile. "Well, this should be quite the battle." He disappeared instantly, following them.

Outside, in the skies above Planet Sadala, Bardock and Beerus reappeared. Their eyes locked again, sparks exploding invisibly between them.

Beerus chuckled. "Moving the fight out here won't matter. At our level, even the shockwaves can wipe out your planet behind you. Whole galaxies, even. Don't forget that, Saiyan."

Bardock clenched his fists. "Maybe. But as long as I'm here, I won't let Planet Sadala be destroyed."

Beerus raised an eyebrow. "Confident, aren't you? I like that." His aura pulsed, shaking the nearby stars, altering orbits.

Bardock's aura erupted to match it, shaking the very void of space.

The strongest Saiyan versus the God of Destruction.

The clash shook not only the universe—but also the Realm of the Kais, where the Supreme Kais turned pale as the battle began.

"This moment has finally come…" the Old Kai muttered. "Bardock versus Beerus. Let's see if you can make that cat regret sealing me all those years ago."

The Supreme Kais were overwhelmed with emotion.

Even though the fight hadn't fully started yet, just the sight of what was about to happen shook their hearts. At the same time, they were curious—just how far could Bardock go against a God of Destruction?

"Bardock… even against a God of Destruction, you… you can win, right?" whispered the West Supreme Kai, her eyes locked on Bardock's proud stance in the void of space.

Since their last meeting, Bardock's image had stayed in her mind, etched deeply, refusing to fade. Something in her heart told her—no, convinced her—that he could win, even against someone like Beerus.

It sounded crazy. But women's intuition… it's often right.

The South Supreme Kai clenched his fists as he saw Beerus appear. He remembered that power from long ago—the kind that left an unshakable mark on his soul. The kind that could erase a giant star with just a flick.

"Old Kai said Bardock's potential could reach the level of a God of Destruction… Is that really true? We'll see now…"
