Beerus, the God of Destruction, stepped forward, his aura shaking the void. He looked straight at Bardock, ready to fight again.
"Now that your transformation is done, let's continue," Beerus said coldly. "You've pushed mortal power this far. Impressive… but that's all it is. Nothing more. King of Saiyans, Bardock."
Bardock smirked. His eyes locked onto Beerus, but he didn't rush.
"You think this is my full strength? Beerus… you still don't get it, even after all I've said."
"What?!" Beerus growled, frowning. He suddenly felt like he had been played with, and his rage exploded.
Without wasting another word, Beerus lunged. He tore through space in an instant, fist aimed to finish Bardock in one blow.
BOOM! The shockwave ripped the stars apart. But Bardock caught Beerus' devastating strike with one hand. Space itself trembled from the force.
Beerus' eyes widened. "What?!"
Bardock's face didn't even flinch. He shoved Beerus back, then exploded with attacks of his own. Fists and kicks rained down like a storm, each one carrying godly energy.
Beerus found himself on the defensive. For the first time in eons, a mortal was pressing him back in combat.
"Don't think gods are untouchable," Bardock shouted. "With enough training, mortals can master divine power—and surpass gods themselves!"
Beerus roared, his purple aura igniting like wildfire. He pushed Bardock off and spread his arms. The universe quaked.
"The Wrath of the God of Destruction!!"
Dozens of massive purple orbs formed around Beerus and launched in every direction. Each one exploded, lighting the cosmos with endless destruction. For a full minute, the universe itself seemed to burn.
When the smoke cleared, a deep blue light pierced through. Bardock stood tall, completely unharmed in his Dark Blue form.
"Tch… so you weren't bluffing after all," Beerus muttered, his expression darkening. "If you're hiding more power, then show it! Bardock!"
Bardock's fists tightened. "Then watch carefully, Beerus. You'll see how the gods you worship are surpassed… by the mortals you look down on."
His eyes glowed blue. His aura erupted, brighter than starlight. The godly energy within him detonated, rising higher and higher without end.
The entire Seventh Universe shook violently. The ripple spread outward, reaching even the neighboring Sixth and Eighth Universes.
Universe 8 — God of Destruction Realm
Liquir, the fox God of Destruction, froze as he felt the energy. "This… divine power? It's reaching even here… Impossible!"
His Angel, Korn, raised his staff. "Lord Liquir… this energy doesn't come from our universe. Its source is the Seventh Universe."
Liquir's eyes widened. "The Seventh?! Beerus…! So, you're already training a successor…"
Universe 6 — God of Destruction Realm
Champa, Beerus' twin, was enjoying food when the divine pressure slammed into him. He spat it out, fur bristling. "What the hell is this?! This power… from the lower realm?!"
Vados, his Angel, traced it calmly with her staff. Her eyes narrowed. "This isn't from our universe, Lord Champa. It's from the Seventh… your brother Beerus' universe."
Champa crushed his cup in anger. "Damn Beerus…!!"
Back in Universe 7
Bardock's energy soared, his power defying all logic. Beerus' cold sweat dripped as he felt it. Even Whis, calmly watching outside, was stunned.
If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he never would've believed it. A Saiyan he once ignored… had now reached a level even gods had to respect.
The power of Super Saiyan Dark Blue Evolution was already insane. It was a godly realm that a mortal had forced his way into.
But Bardock wasn't done.
On top of that strength, there was still something greater hidden inside—something beyond the limit of limits.
Earlier, Bardock's power had already surpassed most of the Twelve Gods of Destruction.
Now… his strength had climbed so high, it was enough to rival the strongest of them.
And if this divine power kept growing, he might even reach the realm of the Angels themselves.
Whis had expected Bardock to be hiding more power. But not like this. He never imagined a mortal could refine divine ki to this insane level. A power so overwhelming, it was leaving even a God of Destruction behind.
Beerus clenched his fists. The pressure weighing on him from Bardock's ki was undeniable.
This mortal… was now stronger than him.
Suddenly, Bardock's aura shifted.
The raging blue light around him pulled inward, condensing into his body. The brilliance was so sharp it lit the void like a galaxy.
Then—he changed.
Bardock's hair grew long, reaching his waist. It was dark, jewel-like blue. His pupils matched, glowing with divine sharpness. His aura and presence rose into something completely new.
This form looked just like Super Saiyan 3 in shape—but the color and power were far different. This was not mortal energy. This was godly ki pushed to its final edge.
Bardock had reached what he named:
Super Saiyan Blue — Third Stage.
Only one other fighter in all Dragon Ball's history had ever brushed this form—Black Goku in the Heroes timeline. But unlike that copy who stole and absorbed power, Bardock had built this form himself, perfecting it with Saiyan blood and his own control of divine energy.
Where Goku Black used stolen power, Bardock mastered it naturally. His Blue Third Stage was far beyond Goku Black's "Rose Third."
The jump in strength was terrifying.
Blue Evolution already multiplied his base by five hundred thousand times.
But Blue Third Stage? A staggering fifty million times base power.
The universe shook under him.
Bardock smirked, spreading his arms wide.
"Now, Beerus—do you still think mortals can't defeat gods?!"
The space around him warped from his mere words.
Beerus narrowed his eyes, finally speaking with respect. "I'll admit… you're incredible. This divine ki… I can't even put it into words. Even for a mortal, you've gone far beyond the line."
Bardock tilted his head with a cocky grin. "Beerus. Remember our bet?"
Beerus' face darkened. He remembered. Before this battle began, they wagered: if Bardock won, he would take the position of God of Destruction.
At the time, Beerus laughed it off. Now, that laughter was gone.
"Hmph! Don't get ahead of yourself, mortal!" Beerus roared. His aura exploded in violent purple flames. "You're still too early to take my throne!"
The destructive storm from Beerus' power swallowed space. Stars trembled and died. But Bardock stood there, unmoved.
"To me," Bardock said calmly, "your destruction feels like a breeze."
In a flash, Bardock moved. His speed hit light-speed instantly—Beerus' eyes couldn't even follow. In the blink of an eye, Bardock was in front of him.
"Wha—?!" Beerus raised his arms in defense, but Bardock's fist curved around and slammed into his chest.
BOOM!
The punch sent Beerus flying like a meteor, smashing straight through a nearby dead planet. The planet shattered, collapsing into magma and debris.
Beerus staggered back into space, coughing blood. His chest burned from inside—Bardock's divine ki had pierced him through, breaking past his own destruction energy.
"Damn it… that power is tearing me apart from the inside!" Beerus growled, forcing his own energy to cleanse it out. His face twisted, blood dripping down his chin.
But Bardock didn't let up. He appeared behind Beerus, swinging an uppercut that cracked the God's jaw and launched him upward.
"It's not over yet, Beerus!!" Bardock shouted. He raised his hands, summoning dozens of glowing blue energy orbs around his body. Each one hummed with divine power strong enough to erase planets.
He hurled them forward. The sky lit up with the rain of destruction.
Beerus wiped the blood from his mouth, his aura boiling again. "Don't underestimate me, Saiyan!!"
His purple destruction energy exploded outward, erasing Bardock's blasts before they reached him. The clash of purple and blue ripped reality apart.
The two powers collided head-on—
KA-BOOM!
The shockwave was so massive it shook the Seventh Universe itself.
From the sidelines, Whis finally frowned. "Lord Beerus… at a disadvantage? This is rare indeed."
The Angel tapped his staff. A wave of pure white energy surged, sealing off the battlefield before the collision could destroy the entire universe.
Still, the sheer force of Bardock and Beerus' clash had already been noticed… by higher beings.
Far above the Twelve Universes, in the highest dimension, sat the Palace of Zeno.
There, at the gates, stood a figure with blue skin, robed in godly attire, a large halo behind his back.
It was the Grand Priest—the father of all Angels, the being second only to Zeno himself.
Before him floated twelve glowing spheres—each one a universe. He turned his eyes toward Universe 7.
"…Beerus. And a Saiyan? Interesting," the Grand Priest said quietly, as the battle shook the heavens.
