Chapter 19 - Communication

After discovering this clue, Jack ran home to rest and organize the ideas he would later put into practice.

"Finnaly i am home, maybe i will take a shower first."

Stepping into the shower, Jack felt a little more excited to have a fresh start and then, something weird and unexpected happened.

"Huh? Why did the shower turn off?"

Confused by what had just happened, Jack tries to turn the shower back on but...

"Not working? Hmm, maybe the power went out. I will take a look."

Getting out of the shower, suddenly small drops of water began to fall from it simultaneously, and on top of that, strange voices began speaking to Jack.

Witnesses... Witnesses...

Memories... Memories...

Project... Project...

They said.

"Who's there?!"

Jack screamed and ended up not getting any kind of response.

"I'm not hearing them anymore. What could these voices be? Witnesses, memories, project?!! What the hell does that mean."

ploc-ploc (raindrops begin to fall)

"Hmmm, it started raining outside, i can tell because i've spent most of my life listening to it inside and outside buildings. Maybe someone, or even the rain itself, is trying to communicate with me somehow. Could these three words be some kind of clue?"

Jack thought with conviction.

"Memories and projects, i have no idea what they might be yet. Witnesses, I think i can start there. After all, i guess I'll have to do what i was doing during those illusions: interview witnesses to the most recent murders.
