"Oh come on man please! This can't be happening to me of all people!"
Bolting out of what seemed to be at first glance an Old Japanese School? Completely Different from the School Cale goes to, astonishment invaded Cale's mind because of the fact he didn't live even remotely close to Japan.
It looked far from being a modern School, abandoned, old and beyond any hope of repair and-
'The moon?!'
Normally, a simple moon wouldn't be an object of surprise or should warrant such emotions but the moon was different here, almost as if the world itself screamed at me that I had traversed to a world that I shouldn't have been able to cross, over normal means
It was giant, unnaturally larg-no the moon was simply closer to the planet
A veil of shadow covered every inch of the school, however just as strangely light poured and spilled to the ground, also covering every inch
'No, it's avoiding the school building?'
Cale quickly realized that his perspective had been wrong, light did cover and illuminate the surroundings, however the school was covered in darkness, darkness so thick that light could not penetrate through it and could only just barely force its way through the window
Even with that, the light was still dim not budging any closer to the darkness that Cale stood in
Luckily he was right next to the Exit, calmly, slowly and carefully he inched closer to the only clean glass door in the vicinity
Creakkk
Stepping outside of the creaking glass door, he was met with a metal sign bolted into the wall with screws on the left side of the giant arched gate that filled his vision, on the metal sign words carved with some strange dry liquid became prominent on it
"Gardenia High School of Harvest?"
'Harvest? what could they be harvesting?'
Cale thought hard about what it could mean and settled
'could it be?'
"m-my organs?"
He landed on such delusional thoughts that had no evidence backing them up
'No no no no no no! What did I do to deserve this! I mean my grades aren't amazing but they are not terrible!'
Panic filled his mind whole, leaving no room for rational thoughts, which led to Cale to starting countless conspiracy theories In his head
'No what I need to do right now isn't doing this useless crap'
Regaining his rationality, Cale made the thought that should have been the first thing he had done
'I need to get out here'
He needed to move, he needed to escape, It didn't matter where, just somewhere not as sinister as this place
Gliding through the broken pavement, tripping sometimes in the process Cale had reached the wall the metal sign was bolted to
The words on the metal sign were smeared with dark blood red, As seen with his previous observations, the liquid was dry, Cale made a guess that that Gardenia had been around for a long time
This didn't suddenly happen without reason, there was one but there was no information that could help him in any shape, way or form
"..."
Staring at the wall for a while, he finally moved and gripped the wall with his fingers ready to climb it
Using his delinquent skills molded through the countless attempts of climbing the school walls to get a ball shot over the fence because of a creature whom he called a 'Friend' and wanted to do a 'trend' or just climbing it in general to avoid boring classes
'So embarrassing...'
A certain sense of cringe crept over him having thoughts like that, his face turned red-beet and steam flowed upwards, but It was a true fact.
Shaking his useless thoughts that kept him off track, his hands gripped at the wall intensely
"I just need to climb that wall"
Fortunately, the wall wasn't that tall and could be very easily climbed
However just as Cale was about to climb it
La~La~La~La
A soft sound, a tune and a lullaby that felt like it came from a Goddess burrowed deep into his mind and every inch of Cale's body refused to move and instead relaxed, every thought turned hazy, drowsiness that had been slowly building up started to settle
Cale's already hazy mind turned even more hazy and had started to feel like someone had drilled and mashed his brain in completely
As he stood there like a statue for a few minutes, a beautiful voice that made Cale want to be voluntarily bewitched by rang out and echoed throughout the entire Illuminated eerie space
[Student Cale Dice you are to head to 'Class A3' right this instant]
The voice felt soft, brittle but there was a certain drag to, dread was filled in the tone, not noticeably to Cale himself however
[Failure to comply with Instructions will force us to send you to 'Detention']
"...."
After a few moments the beautiful voice empathized on the word 'Detention' Cale's body started tensing up and control over his body returned, almost as if It was always capable of doing so but chose not to
"What was I doing again?"
Memories started becoming foggy but after a few seconds of concentration, some memories came back clearer than ever
"Right, I was trying to see where exactly I was"
That thought did not align with Cale's previous intentions, something sinister loomed over the walls, they had also not been there before
'Since the voice that rang out a few moments ago told me to go to my classroom. I should probably listen to it right?'
'But where exactly Is Classroom A3?'
As soon as that thought crossed his mind, a pure white thin line appeared almost as if telling Cale to follow it, Cale didn't have much of a choice so he started walking and followed the white line hoping and praying to God that it lead me to 'my classroom'
A truly delusional and moronic thought that was engraved to him, saying there was no other choice he could take
after going through the broken pavement and walking inside of the shadow-veiled school
Cale walked through the old school, the musty unbearable smell invaded his nostrils, the school building became darker and darker with each step making Cale's location abundantly clear
He walked up the staircase, walking through the corridor his steps stopped and turned to face where the white line had been pointing
He had finally found Class A3
'this place is more ordinary than I thought? I am starting to wonder who my classmates will be?'
A fog settled in Cale's head, he had forgotten how eerie this place really was, the strange liquid that was dripping in the distance, the old disgusting smell that wafted in the air
Everything that would have obviously frightened Cale didn't even phase him, why was that?
'This school is so clean and maintained, good thing I came here'
Eyes unfocused, a smile that stretched so wide it could reach his ears was so clear and unmoving on his face, it might have been mistaken for a mask
Opening the sliding door, he entered with anticipation
'If I could go back in time I would get a knife and stab past me for touching that Envelope!'
Vigor filled his eyes, they shook as much as his arms and legs shook, sweat formed and flowed down his spine, a chill ran down on him like a current
what greeted him was anything but normal, Cale was Astonished at how I didn't scream at the sight before him, the reason for this was simple
Drip!
It was because he bit into his lip so hard that blood started to flow down, clenching his jaw and gulping down his screams back into his throat he rationally assessed the situation as much as he could without screaming
Monsters masquerading as students filled the entire classroom with only the middle front desk having no Monster in it
'No can that even be called a monster?'
They all looked the same, to Cale at very least
With heads bloated like a balloon with Mouths that looked like a human's, Eyes that are as black as the Abyss with a crooked nose decorating all of their faces
'Not only that'
Their bodies were like a sludge constantly moving even though they were motionless
Staring at the white line which had grown thicker almost as if telling to sit at the desk in the middle front
Looking around, Cale saw decimated walls, walls with claw marks all over, Cale's vision was pregnant with thin pitch black lines appearing everywhere
'I don't think I need an explanation on what will happen to me if I follow that pitch black line'
Having those thoughts, Cale had noticed that his heart had started beating more loudly and faster than ever
Ba-Thump! Ba-Thump!
BA-THUMP! BA-THUMP!
Every limb in his body started going numb and trembled, his vision started becoming more hazy and clouded
Cale then realized that tears were welling up and ready to spill at any given moment as true raw fear started to set in the moment he had realized that this was no illusion or Hallucination and his life was genuinely In mortal danger
'A-Ah why the hell did it have to be me of all people?'
He looked up at the ceiling
Drip
A droplet fell on his nose bridge, it was blood-No the entire ceiling was made of blood, only droplets of it ever falling down, it moved like the waves Cale would see on the ocean
A truly bizarre sight, the smell was even more unbearable than before, forcing Cale to start breathing from his mouth
His clouded eyes locked onto the 'Class'
'Should I just give up and tell them to end it quickly? Would they end it quickly though? They look like hardcore Sadistic freaks'
He tried to make a joke to cope with himself but that only intensified his fear, his body shivered under the numbing coldness he felt emanating from the room filled with dreadful monsters that came from nightmares
