Lina's Point of view - The Art Gallery, Wednesday Afternoon
Before we leave, stand in front of the mirror in my dressing room, and I barely recognize the woman staring back at me. My dress is impeccable—a sleek navy number that hugs my curves perfectly. My makeup is flawless. My hair is styled in soft waves that frame my face.
But it's my expression that's different. There's determination in my eyes. There's fire.
I made a decision last night when Rio left me standing in the master bedroom suite. I decided that I'm done being invisible. I'm done watching Jennie strut around like she owns him. I'm done pretending that what happened in the garden meant nothing.
Today, I'm going to remind everyone exactly who his wife is.
When Rio comes to collect me, he does a double-take. I can see it in his eyes—surprise mixed with something that might be appreciation.
"You look stunning," he says, and I can hear the genuine note in his voice.
