Chapter 53 - HISD Chapter 53 The Real Doomsday

HISD Chapter 53 The Real Doomsday

In the fog-covered city, the middle-aged captain of the Supernatural Department, transformed into a triceratops monster, fought fiercely against the mantis-like creature emerging from the mist.

Yi Meng watched coldly, suddenly understanding many things.

Previously, he had assumed that the dragon in the legends of the Reality Star Dragon Federation referred to the Dragon Maiden who had appeared.

But now he noticed a problem. Even with the power of a phoenix, the Dragon Maiden was still human. How could she have lived for over two hundred years?

Perhaps, in the real world, a true dragon did exist.

Yi Meng's thoughts were shaped by a previous life's movie knowledge, which featured a villain capable of controlling dinosaur-like monsters.

That villain had been a malevolent black python who failed to seize the dragon orb and was ultimately destroyed by a righteous dragon.

The movie was called Dragon Wars.

…

Yi Meng's gaze returned to the brutal battlefield ahead.

The middle-aged captain, now a three-meter-high, nine-meter-long triceratops, with tough, rough skin, withstood the mantis blade's attacks. Using his front horns, he toppled the mantis onto the ground and stomped it into pulp with his powerful limbs.

"Roar!!"

The triceratops' eyes radiated ferocity and wildness, showing both triumph and fighting spirit. But in the next instant, several massive tentacles emerged from the fog, wrapping tightly around his neck and forelimbs.

Thud!

The triceratops struggled, stretching the tentacles with its brute force, but could not free itself. More tentacles reached from the fog, entangling its body and limbs further.

Rustle—

The tentacles pulled the struggling triceratops forward into the fog.

A massive black maw opened and swallowed the triceratops' enormous head. The dozens of tentacles coiled tighter, and soon all struggle ceased.

The monstrous tentacle mass continued to writhe, eventually swallowing the triceratops entirely. Still unsatisfied, a suction-cupped tentacle retrieved the mantis corpse.

Through super vision, Yi Meng clearly saw the creature: an octopus-shaped giant monster as tall as a four- to five-story building, a writhing meat mountain wielding countless tentacles. It had been motionless in the fog like a shadow of a building, waiting to hunt.

The fog monster devoured both the six-meter mantis and the triceratops-form captain in one swift motion.

Gurgle.

Amid the writhing flesh, several small eyes focused on a street lamp tens of meters away, then a massive tentacle shot out.

"Oh, found me?"

Yi Meng's lips curved into a cruel smile. A red light flared in his eyes, and he stood still as the massive tentacle wrapped around his waist, pulling him forward.

The foul-smelling, bloodied maw opened again like an abyss.

Humans were tiny, fragile, and weak compared to the fog tentacle monster, like mice before lions and tigers.

The monster tried to swallow Yi Meng, just as it had countless humans before.

But then.

Yi Meng's gray-white bone-armored feet kicked out, stepping on both ends of the monstrous maw, preventing it from closing.

This creature…

Why was it different from all the others here?

The fog monster was confused. Its small, frenzied eyes met Yi Meng's violent, destructive gaze.

"You want to eat me? You think you're worthy?"

Yi Meng spoke coldly, expressionless.

The monster could not understand the words but felt the overwhelming aura emanating from him.

It was irresistible power.

Hiss!

Before the fog monster could react, the tentacles around Yi Meng shattered neatly as if cut by a saw.

The severed tentacles hadn't even touched the ground.

Breaking free, Yi Meng leapt onto the flesh mountain. He didn't dodge, instead lunging at the monster's head, his right arm fully armored in exoskeleton stabbing into its forehead above the eyes.

The fog monster screamed in pain, thrashing its tentacles wildly. The surrounding fog rippled violently as the severed tentacles rapidly regenerated.

Boom!

Nearby street lamps and vehicles were deformed and thrown aside by the swinging tentacles. A building wall dented under the impact of the massive body.

Yi Meng remained firmly attached to the monster's head. His left arm followed into the soft flesh. Then, with both arms, he tore outward.

Bones, flesh, and internal organs ripped apart.

The monster's head, the size of a car, was split in half. Its thrashing tentacles and writhing body stopped abruptly, collapsing like a ruined flesh mountain.

"What are you?"

The silver-haired boy stood atop the monstrous corpse, a maniacal, savage grin on his face. His bone-armored feet continued to stomp, each strike stronger than the last.

Finally, with a foot approaching sonic speed, he crushed the monster's massive head completely.

Sizzle!

Blood sprayed.

A sense of destructive satisfaction washed over him.

The red glow in Yi Meng's eyes finally dimmed. His gray-white exoskeleton began spreading from his feet up to his knees, muscles and tendons forming the bone pattern first.

Yi Meng looked down at the bloodied corpse below and the fog-enshrouded modern city.

Every plot, every strange power, no matter how strong, was meaningless before absolute destruction.

With the Doomsday persona awakened, nothing in this world could shake or frighten him. His only opponent was himself.

Because he was the strongest and most terrifying monster in the real world.

"I must… act before desire for destruction fully suppresses reason…" Yi Meng whispered.

He crouched slightly. The strength in his exoskeleton-covered legs increased with every moment, now reaching terrifying levels.

Thud!

He moved, slicing through the fog with a gust of wind, leaping toward the city center tens of meters away.

The fog scattered along his path, leaving a strange, inhuman trail before the mist swallowed it again. Only his red eyes flickered in the haze.

The real-world Doomsday was approaching.
