Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 The Mirror of Erised

After walking out of the Pig's Head Inn, Hagrid instantly couldn't hold back, grabbing Kaisen's shoulder and shaking him.

"Kaisen! Kaisen! Do you know? A Dragon Egg! This is a Dragon Egg! I've always wanted to raise a dragon! A dragon!"

"OK... OK, a dragon... a dragon, I know, I know."

Kaisen, feeling lifeless, was shaken as he agreed.

"Next, I'm going back to my hut. I really want to hatch this beautiful creature as soon as possible. Oh, Kaisen, can you help me borrow some books about dragons from the Library? Methods for hatching dragons and raising dragons, and preferably one that teaches me how to identify dragons."

Hagrid, holding the Dragon Egg in his arms, was indescribably excited. He kept circling Kaisen, talking non-stop and trying his best to make the recently sober Kaisen dizzy again.

"OK, I will, I will, please Hagrid, stop spinning."

Back at Hogwarts, one of them furtively carried the Dragon Egg back to his wooden hut, while the other, dragging his dazed body, returned to the Castle.

Kaisen first arrived at Dumbledore's Headmaster's office, and Dumbledore, seeing Kaisen, also excitedly waved.

"You really should come and see this."

He couldn't help but stand up from his seat, took Kaisen's hand, and walked to a corner of the office, where a magnificent mirror of erised stood.

"What do you see?" Dumbledore asked.

"I've redecorated Hogwarts from the inside out with one block after another," Kaisen said subconsciously.

And Dumbledore showed an indescribably kind look.

"I must say, Kaisen, if you were to wear the Sorting Hat, you would definitely be a Hufflepuff."

"Why?" Kaisen asked.

"Even your dreams are so simple and warm, I can't think of any other house."

"..Dreams?"

Dumbledore nodded: "That's right, dreams. This is the mirror of erised. It reflects the desires hidden in people's hearts. But for such a lovely desire like yours, I think it's better to call it a dream."

"And, to be honest, I've never stopped you from decorating Hogwarts, but I sincerely hope you start with the Headmaster's office."

Kaisen tapped the mirror in front of him with his knuckles, and the Kaisen in the mirror returned the gesture.

"That'll have to wait until I have time. To be honest, teaching students is really not an easy job."

"Mmm-hmm, I'm going to move this mirror of erised to another room. Coming along?" Dumbledore asked.

"With our hands?"

"Of course, with magic." Dumbledore put one hand on Kaisen's shoulder and the other on the edge of the mirror. With a buzzing roar, the two of them and the mirror appeared in an empty classroom.

"Harry will like this gift, but I don't intend to give him this mirror; I just want him to experience it."

"When will he experience it? To be honest, why don't you just let him go to your office and look in the mirror?"

"After Christmas. I don't want to have too much contact with him too early. It's not time yet," Dumbledore explained.

"Ah, oh... Christmas, I forgot if you didn't mention it. I haven't prepared Christmas gifts yet." Kaisen suddenly shivered.

"Who are you planning to give them to?"

"Everyone at Hogwarts, Neville, Harry, and their friends can't be exceptions, and my students. The twins like pranks, so I plan to make them a small item that can blow people up but cause no harm."

"Jordan, he might like a new Quidditch robe. Angelina told me her broomstick is very uncomfortable to sit on... And Cedric... And..."

Kaisen kept chattering on like this, and Dumbledore watched with a smile.

"Kaisen, I must say, you are truly full of love."

"Love? Perhaps. To be honest, I haven't even met my parents, but I can feel that they are living well." Kaisen shrugged, saying with an indifferent expression.

"Death is a much grander adventure, Kaisen."

"Uh..." Kaisen was a bit awkward. He couldn't very well tell Dumbledore that his parents were indeed living very well in another world, even though it was somewhat similar to what Dumbledore believed.

Forget it, don't dwell on that too much.

"Oh, almost forgot, Hagrid and I were drinking at the Pig's Head Inn, and a black-robed man used a... bet to trick Hagrid into revealing the method to appease Cerberus. I think that person looked like Quirrell, so I also told him how to open the piston door."

"Oh, that's good, it saves trouble, not only your trouble, but also Quirrell's and Tom's trouble." Dumbledore smiled.

"Perhaps. Do you have anything else? If not, I'll go." Kaisen asked.

"No, and remember to tell Harry how to open the piston door. The four of them really scared Madam Hooch and Minerva during Flying Class today."

"And of course, poor Mr. Malfoy, he was hung on a tree by Mr. Longbottom with a wand."

"Just as Mr. Malfoy hung Mr. Longbottom's Remembrall on a tree two minutes before encountering misfortune."

Kaisen twitched the corners of his mouth, but anyone could see the good mood hidden within.

"Isn't it normal for Little Wizardss to fight, especially when they're evenly matched?"

"Yes, and it's two pieces of good news. Poor Mr. Longbottom, with the support of his dear Professor, regained his confidence and began to resist the bullying of other Little Wizardss."

"And Harry also showed extraordinary flying talent in this farce. I must say, he will be an excellent Seeker, just like his father."

When Dumbledore spoke of these happy things, a smile always unconsciously hung on his face.

Like Kaisen's junior high school homeroom teacher, who was a lovely old lady.

Always smiling, showing her front teeth, incredibly tolerant, incredibly kind.

And wise.

"Then I should congratulate them."

"That's not what I wanted to say. What I wanted to say is that they should be visiting your office. Mr. Longbottom is very eager for your approval and praise. Now Harry has walked out of Minerva's office and is probably heading towards your office right now," Dumbledore said.

"Ah... Oh... Is that so? Do I still have time now?" Kaisen asked.

"I think Mr. Longbottom would be very happy to wait for you until curfew, even at the risk of being accused of night wandering."

"Looks like I need to hurry back."

"I really wish you were a student I personally taught, although I'm not necessarily good at it," Dumbledore said, pushing his glasses up his face.

"I'll take that as a compliment." Kaisen shrugged and walked out of the empty classroom.
