GTAG Chapter 35: A New World
After creating this monster, Godzilla did not continue producing any others.
Most of his focus now was on mastering lightning.
In order to better control this power, Godzilla thought of the Xenomorphs.
He dug deep into their genetic traits, hoping to discover hidden potential.
As time passed, another surprise appeared.
Godzilla never stopped searching other worlds.
Finally, he locked onto one.
But instead of joy, what he felt was alarm.
Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters.
To him, this was a bizarre world.
There, kaiju appeared on almost every continent.
It seemed monsters were a planetary defense mechanism.
Once civilizations developed too far, the planet would spawn monsters to wipe them out.
And in that world, another Godzilla was born.
But unlike him, that Godzilla was not an animal—it was a plant.
Its core was vegetation, while its outer body was made of metal.
Its vitality was unmatched. Unless completely annihilated, it could never die.
Even losing its head or half its body was a minor injury.
By sinking its roots deep into the earth, it could repair itself, even regrow metallic fibers by absorbing minerals from the soil.
Because of this, that Godzilla was the lightest of them all.
Yet at the same time, it was also the most powerful Godzilla across any world.
Its body housed hundreds of thermal nuclear nodules, creating an electromagnetic barrier that not even hydrogen bombs could pierce.
An absolute defense.
For offense, it wielded charged particle cannons, devastating beyond belief.
More importantly, this Godzilla had no atomic reactor inside.
Instead, its cells generated their own endless energy.
Compared to that, Godzilla himself felt small.
So he shoved that world aside—out of sight, out of mind.
Even after two evolutions, he was still nowhere near that Godzilla's level.
Not even twenty thousand years earlier, when that one first appeared.
So Godzilla carried on as if nothing had happened, either lurking in the deep sea or practicing his lightning.
Months passed.
Then one day, Godzilla discovered another world.
Edge of Tomorrow.
A story of a man who dies over and over, only to save the world.
On the battlefield, the protagonist killed a special alien and was splashed with its blood.
From then on, whenever he died, he would return to the morning of that same day.
Through repeated deaths and resets, he grew stronger and ultimately saved humanity.
But Godzilla wasn't interested in that man's fate.
What caught his attention were the invading aliens.
Two stood out: Alpha and Omega.
Omega was the brain of all the aliens.
It commanded the swarm and could rewind time to the start of the day.
But this power wasn't unlimited.
Time was too vast to control freely.
So Omega created a switch—Alpha.
Aside from Omega itself, Alpha had the highest authority.
It always stayed safe, because its existence was critical.
If an Alpha died, that meant the invasion faced catastrophe.
So whenever an Alpha perished, Omega would reset time.
With this ability, the aliens crushed Earth's defenses with ease.
Yet fate twisted when the protagonist, drenched in Alpha's blood, was mistaken by Omega for an Alpha.
Now, every time he died, Omega was forced to reset the day.
Alpha was too precious. Even knowing it was a trick, Omega couldn't take the risk of not rewinding.
What if it had ignored an actual Alpha's death? That would have been a disaster.
After all, it took a million aliens to produce a single Alpha.
That was how rare they were.
Both Alpha and Omega intrigued Godzilla—especially Omega's power to rewind time.
He judged that Omega likely couldn't reset too far back.
At most, one to three days.
But even that was incredible.
If he could obtain Omega's genes, his own mastery over time and space would surely transform.
But where exactly was Omega's body?
Godzilla tried to recall.
He only remembered it being submerged in water…
Alright, it wasn't that his memory was poor. It had simply been too long.
Who actually remembers place names while watching a movie?
Everyone just watches for the monsters and effects. The rest doesn't matter.
Godzilla shrugged.
Those aliens were nothing to him. Except for Omega's power, none posed a real threat.
As for Omega's location, he could take his time.
Once his energy reserves were full, he moved at once into the world of Edge of Tomorrow.
In a flash, Godzilla vanished.
Nearby, a small kaiju swam lazily.
When it saw Godzilla suddenly disappear, it was terrified.
Its simple mind could not comprehend how such a colossal being could vanish in an instant.
It swam in circles where Godzilla had been, searching desperately, but found no trace.
Panicked, it wandered further and further, leaving its birthplace for the first time.
Godzilla had no idea his sudden disappearance had traumatized the little creature.
He was already in another world.
