Chapter 18 - Chapter : 18 Gifts

I know some people were confused why I didn't upload any chapters recently, well it was because of an apple. You heard the saying an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but for me it turned opposite. I don't even know what happened, maybe because I ate that apple straight out from the fridge and also right before bed time. Who knows what happened but Apple is the greatest suspect since i didn't eat anything weird.

Next day I woke up with a sore throat and fever and after that it just kept getting worse, from sore throat to nose blocked, maybe sinus, even face pain. Right now the fever has gone down but I'm still recovering. By Monday I should be fine probably and from then I'll start uploading one chapter daily.

Also This chapter is short and I just Thought i should upload at least one chapter this week, so Lets meet back from monday daily.

Currently in Underworld – Gremory Territory

The train screeched to a halt, and Sho stepped out onto the platform. At first glance, the station looked almost identical to those in the human world—same structure, same atmosphere—except for one major difference. Strange magical creatures flitted through the air, and unusual pets walking alongside their masters, most likely familiars bound to them.

Sho pulled out the card, channeling a bit of magic into it. The surface blinked before projecting a hologram of Mr. BALDDY, who greeted him with his usual cheer.

"Welcome to the Underworld, Yamato-san," the projection said warmly, before instructing Sho to follow his butler.

But no butler was in sight—until Sho turned and spotted a man standing a little farther away, holding a small board with his name written on it. The man was scanning the crowd, clearly searching for someone. As Sho walked toward him, the butler confirmed, "You are Yamato-san?" After Sho nodded, the man gave a courteous bow and gestured for him to follow.

Led outside the station, Sho found himself before a sleek, black Rolls Royce Phantom III. The butler opened the door with practiced grace, revealing someone already seated inside.

"Come in, Yamato-san," said none other than Mr. BALDDY himself.

Inside the car.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you face-to-face, Yamato-san."

"The pleasure is all mine," Sho replied.

BALDDY studied Sho—dressed sharply in a suit and glasses—and for a moment his thoughts drifted to his own past. He remembered the days when he had first come to the Underworld as nothing more than a mere slave. Step by step, he had surpassed his master, built his own business, and climbed high enough to stand where he was today. Now, looking at the young man before him, BALDDY couldn't shake the feeling that Sho would one day achieve even greater success—or perhaps it was just a hunch.

"By the way, Mr. BALDDY," Sho broke the silence, "what was the good news you were talking about?"

"Hehe, straight to the main point, are we? Well, I won't waste your time. The good news is that our business partnership will continue on, forever and ever. That mango ice cream you brought in? Already sold out. It's become quite popular."

"I see…" Sho nodded with a faint smile.

"By the way, the reason I invited you to the Underworld wasn't just to give you this news," Mr. BALDDY began as the car approached a large villa. "There are two important things. First, you'll need proper registration to officially operate as a business trader in the Underworld and continue your ventures in the future. And the second… is this."

As the car came to a stop, the butler rushed forward to open the door—but BALDDY and Sho both stepped out before he could reach it.

"So, Yamato-san," BALDDY said, gesturing toward the bungalow, "what do you think of the place? Does it suit your taste? If not, we can always renovate it."

"It's… good. But what does it have to do with my taste?" Sho asked, slightly confused.

"Well… because it's yours," BALDDY replied, smiling.

"Ehhh… No, Mr. BALDDY, I can't take this!" Sho immediately protested.

"No, no, no. You can't deny it. You have to take it—there's no choice," BALDDY insisted, firmly refusing to budge.

Even after constant rejection by Sho, BALDDY didn't give in. He even went as far as to threaten that if Sho didn't accept it, he would blow the whole house to dust.

"..." Sho had no words.

In the end, he finally gave in and accepted the villa. It wasn't as massive as the castle he had first woken up in when he came to this world, but for someone who had lived his whole life in a cramped one-room space, this was far too big. The villa probably had more than ten rooms, with a massive garden stretching over at least two or three acres. The house itself also stood tall and proud, taking up the same amount of land.

For a while, both Sho and BALDDY sat in the grand hall, discussing business. The next step was to finally launch their ice cream in the human world and increase production. The ambitious goal was to sell one billion ice creams in a year. To Sho, the number felt way too high—he wasn't sure if it was possible. But BALDDY was confident. He had already seen the craze the taste caused and was certain they could achieve it.

Sho also brought up some new ideas: a special –Sho Edition– instant noodles, coffee, and chocolates. He even had bigger projects in mind, like creating a social app. But for now, that was only a dream that has to wait for a while.

After finishing their discussions, BALDDY and Sho once again sat inside the car and headed toward the Devil Trader Center, where Sho needed to register. Only then could he legally start working and also open a bank account.

At the Devil office, an employee stood up with a polite smile.

"Please place your hand on the crystal."

Sho did as instructed, placing his hand over the glowing stone. Immediately, his details appeared: his name, his human-world identity, and even his Sacred Gear.

Technically, since Sho carried demonic energy, the system automatically classified him as a half-devil—probably recorded as one of those "lost descendants" who had wandered into the human world and finally returned to the Underworld. But Sho quickly clarified, explaining that he was no devil; the demonic energy was only because of his Sacred Gear.

The employee seemed unbothered. He simply adjusted the record, labeling it as a "mutated Sacred Gear". Normally, this whole process would take at least a week to finalize, but BALDDY pulled some strings. With him acting as Sho's guarantor—and considering BALDDY's reputation as a successful and well-known businessman—the registration was approved in mere minutes, without a single question raised.

'That was fast,' Sho thought, staring at the freshly issued identification card. His photo was taken with his glasses still on, and since nobody asked him to remove them, he didn't. Perhaps the officials didn't want to bother him at all—most likely thanks to BALDDY's influence.

Either way, it worked out perfectly for Sho.

Once again, Sho and BALDDY were seated in the car.

"I didn't know Yamato-san possessed a Sacred Gear," Mr. BALDDY said with curiosity.

"Actually, it only awakened recently," Sho replied. Technically, it wasn't a lie.

"I see… By the way, Yamato-san," BALDDY's voice grew a little more serious, "since you already know about the supernatural, I'm sure you're aware of its dangers. But I'll remind you regardless—do not fight or provoke the noble devil clans. Even if they disrespect you slightly, especially here in Gremory territory where things are usually peaceful, such incidents can still happen. The best option, if a noble devil insults you, is to simply swallow it. Don't let your ego or young blood take over. Fighting them can lead to endless problems… and you might even lose your life."

Sho remained silent, his expression calm and nonchalant. BALDDY glanced at him, thinking, Maybe I scared him too much. In truth, Sho was just listening without much reaction.

"Don't worry too much, Yamato-san," BALDDY added with a chuckle, easing the tension. "Incidents like that are rare. And even if it happens, just give them a few sweet words and they'll walk away."

The car screeched to a stop in front of Sho's new villa.

"Okay, Yamato-san, it's time to bid farewell. There's a housekeeper inside who will take care of your needs. If you face any problems, just ask them. And of course, you can always contact me."

Sho nodded, stepping out as the car drove away, leaving him standing before his villa.

As he opened the doors and walked inside, five maids and five male workers lined up neatly, bowing in unison.

"Welcome, Master."

Meanwhile in the car—

"Master, I might be crossing some boundaries, but this Yamato-san… how can you trust him without any background checking? What if he contacted you just to create some problems?" The butler asked, eyes fixed firmly on the road while driving.

"Did you taste the ice cream?" BALDDY asked lazily.

"No, master."

BALDDY slightly opened a small cabin where a few ice-cream boxes were stored. Picking one out, he passed it to the butler. "Here, taste it."

The butler hesitated, then took a bite. Boom—the flavors exploded in his mouth, and for a moment, he felt like he was standing in the middle of a fresh mango orchard. "Mmmmmm…"

"Master, this… this taste, it's amazing!" the butler exclaimed, his eyes wide as he turned to BALDDY telling how he has never tasted anything like this without realizing that when his was mind was enjoying the fresh air in orchard, something happened in outside world.

Resting his head on one hand, BALDDY sighed. "It seems like the packaging needs a caution instruction—Do not eat while driving."

The butler blinked, realizing too late that the car had slammed into a wall, hazard lights now blinking furiously.
