Chapter 9 - Power Level

After waking up, Noah felt refreshed. Though the night was chilly, the blanket he created had helped him a lot. Besides, his physical attributes were increasing, and so were his mental attributes.

That gave him resistance against the cold quite a bit.

After that, he created some hot food and ate them.

Then he came down from the tree. Noah could also cancel his created items, but it would waste his energy as those item wouldn't be reused again.

But what could he do? He couldn't carry everything he created, that would be too burdensome.

So he made the blanket vanish. If needed, he would create another one.

After that, he started his journey again.

He wanted to create a watch and a compass, but they would cost more as those were made of complex structures.

Anyway, he would figure out something later.

The compass would be necessary, as losing one's way in the forest was a common matter.

But it would cost him 10 mana points. So he would have to wait until he reached level 8 or got a mana core in the meantime.

When he walked a little bit, he saw claw marks on a tree.

He felt a really bad premonition. These claw marks were done by something super powerful and a bigger creature.

But what could that be? A bear?

Probably.

Just as he was thinking, he heard a loud roar.

Oh shit! Surely it was a bear. But the roar was even more powerful.

He was about to climb a tree, but it was too late.

A huge white-furred creature came in front of him and looked at him with its red eyes.

Noah swallowed hard. Even after killing so many wolves and horned rabbits, he still felt intimidated in the presence of this monster before him.

It was a bear. A polar bear, to be exact, but the problem was its size. It was at least 3 times bigger than a normal polar bear.

The bear was just 20 meters ahead of him.

Then it roared at him with all its might.

When it roared, Noah finally snapped out of his fear instead of sinking deeper into it.

He felt more clear-headed.

"Hey big guy. I can hear perfectly, you know. You don't have to roar like that. Besides, I was just passing by. Why don't we forget each other?"

Noah wanted to talk to it, even though he knew it was no use.

He was just giving himself some courage. He grabbed his long knife even harder.

This bear's skin looked very thick, it would be tough to kill it.

Then the bear charged at Noah with its huge body.

Noah, when he entered battle mode, instantly felt calmer.

"I warned you, but you didn't hear."

Noah also charged at the bear, but just when they were 5 meters apart, Noah jumped and directly reached the back of the bear.

He didn't waste time and stabbed the knife into the bear's neck with all his might.

The bear roared with pain and moved its body in a zigzag manner.

Blood was coming down from the neck, but its life force was very strong.

Though it was moving and making it hard for Noah to stay on top, he grabbed his knife more tightly and waited for it to die.

The bear finally went to slam its body into a tree. Probably, it wanted to die together with its attacker.

But Noah jumped off its body just before the moment of impact.

[Ding! You have killed Red-Eyed Polar Bear. 100 exp is added to your panel.]

The bear was 5 times more valuable than those wolves or rabbits. So its strength was also at least 5 times greater than theirs.

Noah sold the bear too.

Now he knew which monster's turf this area was. It should be the red-eyed polar bears, unless this one wasn't and had come here from far away.

But Noah had to be even more cautious.

After that, he started his journey again.

Noah could feel he was entering the deeper part of the forest.

The system probably sent him to a place where, if he wanted to return to Earth civilization, he would have to pass through the center of the forest.

He didn't know how dangerous the journey would be.

The system was really angry with that curse. He could only smile wryly.

Now that he had coins, he started asking questions.

He wanted to know about this world.

He asked 5 questions.

From there he learned this realm was truly infinite, as the name suggested.

There were people who could destroy universes with a snap of their fingers in this realm.

There were now billions of new civilizations that had come with Earth civilization, and there were trillions of old civilizations.

Moreover, there were also natives of this realm.

There were power systems:

Level 1–10 = Novice Player

Level 11–20 = Black Iron Player

Level 21–30 = Bronze Player

Level 31–40 = Silver Player

Level 41–50 = Gold Player

Level 51–60 = Diamond Player

Level 61–70 = Platinum Player

Level 71–80 = Legendary Player

Level 81–90 = Epic Player

Level 91–100 = Mythical Player

If someone broke through to level 101, he would be able to become a native of the realm.

A mythical player could destroy universes. They were multiversal-level beings.

There were even higher realms than that.

Noah felt as if a totally new world had opened again. Someone could actually achieve that level of power?

Now he regretted not watching anime or reading fantasy novels. If he had, he would have more knowledge about this stuff and it would be easier for him to operate here.

Noah was walking cautiously. He didn't want to face a powerful bear.

The monsters were also graded differently.

Those rabbits and wolves were just beasts.

But this bear was actually a monster, a level higher than those beasts.

There were demons above them.

Then Demon Lord, Demon King, Demon Emperor, and many more.

While he was thinking about his next moves, he suddenly felt a chill on his back.

He looked to his side.

A bear was eating another bear.

But the bear that was eating had brown fur.

A grizzly bear?

Damn! Those things were ferocious. Though polar bears were bigger, grizzlies were more ferocious and agile.

Noah didn't want to be noticed by that thing which was eating its own kind.

But that chill, it was a warning of danger.

That meant the bastard already knew he was here, but it didn't care or just wanted to play with him.

Noah didn't take the chance to see what it intended to do, so he started running.

His target was a bigger tree.

But the moment he moved, the grizzly looked his way and started running at breakneck speed.

Noah cursed and started running even faster. The trees were far ahead and the bear was faster than him.
