Chapter 16 - Giant Anaconda territory

Noah was thinking about the mechanism of the body's self-regeneration. The process was very slow and it could not regrow lost organs or anything.

That was the reason humans were such vulnerable creatures.

If he could create a serum that would amplify this mechanism and let the body regenerate its missing parts fast enough to restore a missing organ in a minute, that would be as good as getting a new life.

So he thought of a serum of that level.

[1000 mana points needed. Confirm?]

This serum was truly expensive, he had 1050 points left after using Flash 2 times in a row.

But he had lost too much blood and flesh. He would have to use this or else he would not be able to survive.

"Confirm."

He gave the command.

A vial of blue liquid appeared in his hand.

He gulped down the whole content of the vial.

Instantly he felt all his cells were getting a massage. It felt heavenly.

So warm.

He remained in this condition until the liquid finished it works on his body.

After 5 minutes, he opened his eyes.

His lost flesh from his thigh was renewed, all his scars were gone, and his gut had turned normal again.

Only the clothes were still torn.

But that was not important.

He now knew overconfidence could kill him in this forsaken forest. He learned a valuable lesson.

Then he remembered what the system said a while ago. He did not have money then, but now he had 1000 coins left even after buying the healing potions from the shop.

He asked the system,

"What did you mean by novice protection period?"

[The novice protection is given to the new civilizations which are summoned into the Realm of Infinity. The time duration is 1 month. In this time, no monsters, other civilizations, or natives will be able to attack them in their territory.

But the players could still die if they leave the territory.

After 1 month is complete, the players of the new civilization will be on their own for survival.

Your Earth civilization has 9 more days before the protection period is gone.]

500 coins were taken by the system.

Noah was still sitting on the ground. He did not know how serious the matter would be, but he had a bad feeling that the players from Earth would not be able to survive once the protection period was gone. They always liked to rely on heroes to do their job, so even this time they were probably waiting for a hero.

He did not know if there was anyone who had a powerful talent to become a hero.

But he knew one thing: Earth civilization could not be destroyed. His family was still in earth.

So he would protect the civilization, at least 1000 people, so that the planet survived this calamity.

He had 9 days left. He would have to run around 500 to 600 km every day to reach his destination. But the problem was the monsters.

With his speed, he could reach there within a day.

But the monsters were getting more powerful the deeper he went.

He would have to survive to protect others.

It would be good if he could fly and sense other monsters from afar.

So he tried to create them.

A sensing skill would cost him 1500 mana points, whereas the floating skill would cost him 2000 mana points. They were out of his reach now.

A bronze-level mana core in the shop was priced at 1 million coins and would give him 50 mana points each.

But for that, he would have to kill many monsters again.

Still, he needed the skills, at least the sensing skill.

The skill would cover 10 km around him and sense any presence in that area.

He was in the black panther territory, his nemesis, as their speed was faster than his.

He would have to use the Flash skill to kill them, which was not an efficient way.

Should he return again? But the previous areas were almost cleared by him, going back would not bring him much profit either.

What to do?

"Okay, let's run forward. If the next territory has monsters with slow speed, I'll take them down, but if the monsters are powerful, then I'll return here."

There was another problem. Now he needed way too many experience points and coins for everything.

Killing that many monsters alone was not efficient enough and too time-consuming, and finding so many monsters in one place was another issue.

If he could have a skill that multiplied his coins and experience, how good would that be?

He became excited instantly.

And closed his eyes to create something that would give him 100x multiplication.

[100000 mana points needed. Confirm?]

Noah gulped down his saliva.

Then what about 10x?

[10000 mana points needed. Confirm?]

What a bummer. He got excited for nothing.

He would have to wait a long time to gather that many points.

But he needed mana, so he should create another material like the T-Virus to give him a great boost.

He was thinking about how the T-Virus worked for him. Using that as a reference point, he tried to create another substance which might give him 10x amplification in all his attributes.

He closed his eyes again and thought of a liquid capable of that.

[2000 mana points needed. Confirm?]

Damn. Even if he bought those 10 bronze mana cores, he would still be missing 250 points.

"Damn it. I would have to rely on my luck to get some free mana cores."

He was frustrated. He needed so many things but was lacking the fundamental resource.

Mana.

He needed so much mana. Where would he get that much?

"Anyway, let's move ahead. I don't want to face those black bastards right now."

This time he was cautious and was moving very fast. He wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.

But what he did not know was that he was heading toward the territory of the Giant Anaconda.

His nightmare was about to become more intense.

Soon he crossed tens of kilometers and was still in the territory of the black panthers.

Each territory had a different vibe. One could not explain this, only observe it by seeing with their own eyes.

Noah met 2 groups of panthers along the way but used the Flash skill to kill all of them and got 2 speed attribute cores of bronze class, which gave him 100 speed points, as well as 15000 coins and 16000 exp.

Noah felt odd that the deeper he went, the fewer panthers there were.

And after running for 300 km, he finally left the black panther territory.

But the moment he arrived here, his spine turned cold instantly.

There were signs of snake movement in the snowy ground.

The snake should be as large as the anaconda he met before, or even larger.

"Shit. Shit. Shit."

He had arrived in the anaconda territory. And the worst part was a damn super snake, even larger than the previous one, was in front of him, coiling around a huge tree.

His heart started beating faster and faster. He wanted to run away but he still checked its details.

[Subject: Giant Anaconda

Level: 29 (Demon)

Talent: Poison Breath]

Anacondas normally did not have poison on Earth, but this demon anaconda had a talent for poison.

While he was scanning it, the predator also looked toward him with its mountain-like head.
