"Manu, Manu, come, come ....you can do it, balance it," a woman's voice said.
The surroundings were green with trees.
"Just pedal it. I will be behind you," a man's voice said.
Both their faces were not visible, their faces looked white.
"You should be a good boy. You need to help everyone. You need to make lots of friends," the same woman said while they were sitting on the grass.
"You should never be sad. You need to eat three times every day. Don't head bath when you feel like you have a fever," the woman added.
"Amma, don't go. Where are you going? Don't leave me alone!" Manu said.(((Amma = mother)))
Then Manu opened his eyes actually it was a dream.
Manu was moving; he was actually on Srini's back. Srini was carrying Manu and climbing the hill slowly.
"Huff… sigh," Manu said.
"Oh Lord, the great princess , do you like to stand on your feet?" Srini said.
"No, I want to be here a little more," Manu said.
Then Srini dropped Manu on the ground."Ahh… it hurts," Manu said.
Then Srini also got down.
"Huff… huff. My back was hurting a lot when I was carrying you", Srini said.
Srini had both bags on his chest, and he had tied the stainless-steel rod to his hip.
"Srini, you brought everything with you. You didn't leave anything when you were down. I want to say you are the only person who took something with him after his death," Manu said.
"What are you talking about? Get out of your sleep first," Srini said and kicked Manu's leg.
Manu looked around and recognized the familiar place.
"What happened when I lost my consciousness?" both Manu and Srini asked at the same time. They looked at each other in confusion.
"Wait. When I opened my eyes, nobody was there. It looked like a battle had taken place. You were lying on the ground too. I tried to wake you up but you were in a deep sleep. The bags were on the ground near me and the stainless-steel rod was laying there. But the important thing is I didn't find the horned sheep's body, so I wanted to ask what happened there when i was unconscious. I took everything and carried you on my back and brought you here," Srini said.
"But I didn't do anything. After they threatened me to give the heart, if I gave them the heart they would have killed us, so I ate the heart and then I fell unconscious," Manu said.
"Are you okay? Do you feel any pain? Wait — how are you alive after eating an evolved-animal heart? Anyone who eats evolved-animal meat dies from the poison, right?" Srini asked with concern.
"I don't know why I'm unharmed by eating it," Manu said.
"But—" Srini began.
"No buts. Come on, let's go make some money by selling the things we got," Manu said.
Then Manu and Srini started to move toward the lake where the boatman had left them.
"Manu, do you think the man will be there waiting for our arrival?" Srini asked.
"He has no other option. He will be waiting," Manu said.
"Why would he be waiting?" Srini asked.
"What — did you forget that you stole his watch?" Manu said.
"Oh yeah, now I remember. I was thinking of selling it, but if he doesn't ask I'll keep it," Srini said.
Then they both reached the place where the boat would arrive. After a while…
