Chapter 10 - Training Begins

SAMAEL

Loud ringing in my ears awake me from my slumber. Slouched on a sofa in the library the events of last night pour into me a fresh.

After breakfast and changing into fresh clothes I found my way to the library. I started by trying to understand the screen that appears on random. I soon realize the screen only showed when I called out it's name. I tried thinking it to existence with the same words 'School Portal' and it appeared instantly. Good.

The tabs however were seven in number. Tab 1 had profile and stats, Tab 2 had personal library, Tab 3 had classes and schedule, Tab 4 had something called Daily tasks. Tab 5 and 6 were locked but I know Tab 5 was school market, and Tab 6 had missions. The final Tab (Tab 7) held my school account. Something about Preme points. The 0 there was bold, so my account is totally empty.

After that I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to understand my stats. The library was easy to understand. Call a topic you need and all books that contain it will come. I try to get books to tell me about my Bloodline but there was no record of it. Even the Celestial Maagi was missing too. The only one I know of is Blood Maagi that only high ranking demons posses and that is what makes them nearly impossible to kill.

As for dragons there were tons of books on them and I pored through it for hours even learning more about ranking in this world.

In the Academy, rank is just the same as my world, based on letter. The rank from lowest to highest is F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, X, XS, XSS, XXS, and finally XXX. Each rank grows from the addition of - then +, then the next rank.

The weapons, monsters, and even elixir, potions and any other thing were also ranked the same way. Dragons are creatures that can reach the X rank. It's impossible for any other known creatures. The others are for immortal creatures.

I push my self to my feet and with one thought the screen shows. My first class starts in 4 hours. Why am I awake now? I don't feel that tired so I guess I can start the day. I find my way to my room, quickly freshen up and head back to the library. I open my book and continue reading.

Dragons though extinct existed light years ago. They were one of the first set of creatures to roam this earth and were even considered ethereal beings until they aided The Morningstar in his battle against the Almighty God and he cast them all to the surface.

Dragons when they existed had immene power. They were the only being who could possess both Pure Maagi and Elemental Maagi. However dragons power differs based on the elements they are more intune with and their mental capacity.

The only creatures stronger than Dragons are the Immortals, but they have no access to the realm, and therefore the dragons rule the mortal realm.

A loud cough breaks my concentration and I look up to be met with a questioning gaze from Hestia. She was in a blue flowery gown today that was short but also elegant on her.

"Aren't you meant to be in class right now?" She asks and I look at my system. Jeez it's been 4 hours already. I was so engrossed in reading I lost track of time. Rushing out of the library, Hestia hands me a pouch and I accept it muttering quick thank you before disappearing out of her sight.

I arrive in the training hall in record time and I couldn't believe my eyes. The same bland space was now well decorated with all gym equipments in different part of the room and a centre mat that looked like it was meant for sparring.

"First Student to keep me waiting, you really are arrogant" a voice booms from behind me with so much power and authority that it sends shivers down my spine. I turn to offer an apology but the words are stuck in my throat.

"Hercules?" I mutter in utter disbelief and he smiles

"The one and only!" He exclaims and I couldn't believe my eyes. My instructor is the esteemed Hercules. Demigod son of Zeus, the king of gods, who later became a god because of his strength. He is presumed to be the strongest demigod with muscles so strong it can break metal into pieces like glass. His strength is called the godlike Strength.

"How?" I ask and he laughs. First it was the goddess Hestia, now Demigod Hercules, who is next Zeus?

"I get the shock, but you will have the most dynamic sets on instructors!" He replies and his whole demeanor changes instantly. From a wide smile he takes on a totally serios look and his voice booms "enough chitchat. This class is meant to strengthen your body to the greatest height you can attain. Maybe even reach the godlike Strength.

Maagi exist in the world but also in us. Some people believe we use Maagi to strengthen our bones to reach godlike Strength. However it's the opposite. To achieve godlike Strength we push our bodies to it breaking point and let the maagi in us fill up, and we continue that process till we have no limits anymore.

Are you ready?" He asks and I nod. "Give me 300 push ups, 300 situps, 200 squats, and 500 prance lift instantly" He commands and my eyes widens. Is this guy insane. I cannot even complete 50 what does he mean 300? He doesn't give me space to argue so I fall to the floor and do as he says.

In the end we spent about 4 hours doing life threatening exercises and by the end every bone in my body was screaming in agony. I fall to the floor and Hercules smiles.

"That was basic! You still have a long way to go" Hercules snaps and I couldn't even find the energy to reply him. I am totally drained. "Your daily tasks for the week has dropped. Failure to complete will incure punishment" he threatens and I nod.

I call my system and open Tab 4. Daily tasks reflect and I almost pass out.

[DAILY TASKS ]

[The Path to godlike Strength: Hercules]

[Tasks]: [1000 situps]

[1000 pushups]

[1000 squats]

[1000 pullups]

[1000 weight lifts]

[Run 500 miles]

[Jump off the building 100 times]

I'm dead! Hercules is going to kill me. It took me hours to complete the 300 he gave me, and now I have to complete these large amounts daily? Is he insane? Can't he take it easy on me a little? Bastard.

I look up to give him a earful but he is no longer in front of me. I'm left in an empty gym room with only myself and the equipments. I pull water out of the pouch Hestia gave me and packaged sandwich and bite into the food before taking a full gulp of the water.

"Someone is really thirsty, I must say." A solemn, calm voice speaks and my bottle drops from my hand and spills everywhere. I look up to sciod whoever just disturbed my break to be met with cold blue eyes.

"Who are you? What do you want?" I ask as I get to my feet and turn to leave the hall.

"Arjuna Padava, your tutor" he replies and I the system comes up. I see my next class and lo and behol the tutor name was the same.

"Don't tell me you are the famous Arjuna Padava of history, who mastered the unknown 6th sense which made him invincible and untouchable? How is this possible?" I ask and he nods

"In flesh." He raises both hands in qrrogance and I roll my eyes "Now let's get to work" he snaps

"What am I to do?" I ask. He snaps his fingers and everywhere turns black. All I could feel was nothing ness. My eyes felt heavy with drowsiness like they were carrying heavy weights, my skin hardened into rocks and the slightest feel of the air dissapeared, even my smell ans taste dissapeared at once.

I never really paid attention to how muvh chbage has happened to me since I got here. I was so in tune with my environment that now that I lost it I felt empty. I wasn't like this before.

"What is happening" I blurt out flailing my arms in search of something to hold on to. Worry seeps into my heart and gggear of losing my senses forever kicks in.

"No worries, I just blocked almost all your senses.

The five senses we have are reliable and strong weapons in battle but they can fail. They are built to fail and in a battle with someone stronger and well trained they are bound to lead to our downfall.

The Sixth sense is a sensory experience the mortal body is unawar of and therefore for you to access that experience all your other senses must die forcing your body to evolve into relying on that imppssibke sense.

For the rest of this class I will attack you and you must defend yourself using the sixth sense."

Is this man insane? He didnt even tell me how to awaken this acclaimed sense or how to use it? With no manual whatsoever I have to awaken an impossible sense? He must be high on cheap drugs. He snaps his finger and I couldn't hear anything again. Huge invisible earplugs settles in my earphones blocking even the slightest of sound.

The next thing I feel is a large pile slamming into my head. I fall over and try to block the pole but it hits my tummy instead. This is unfair?

Well life is unfair deal with it!
