The paws track grows faint the closer I come to the lair but new signs show up. Claw marks, shedded fur, saliva, even carcasess pointed me in the right direction. After walking for 1 hour I finally see the hideout.
A simple cave hidden at the bottom of the mountain. If I can't feel their energy I won't even know they are there. The place was silent and blocked by a formation of rock that looked hastily done. They locked themselves in because of me? Nice!
I wave my left hand and the rocks explode. Telekinesis really is a good skill that makes me grateful for the mind Element. The only problem is you can't use it on yourself so no telekinetic flying or floating. Thank God for wings and Wind Element.
I walk to the entrance slowly and multiple howls could be heard. I walk into a large caver to be surrounded by a hoard of Nerculan beasts. They all snarl and bark at me and I smile. These creatures are our for a fight. Lucky you, I came for one.
The next Nerculan beast attacks and within minutes I am being attacked from all angles. They planned to ambush me with sheer numbers. Well too bad for them I have a lot of tricks up my sleeves. I raise spikes out of the earth that impales about 15 of them. The ones still fighing avoid the spikes smartly. Wise creatures, but I'm wiser.
I focus on the streams under the earth and flood the room with water in seconds. The shorter nerculans begin to choke and those that can use the earth element raise themselves off the ground with the earth. I'll give them some credit, they put up a good fight, but not good enough to catch me.
I release a Wind Blade Tornado and it slices the few in the air with me and kills all of them in waves. I land on the ground as the water disappears and most of the bodies lay on the ground. I extecg their maagi cores of different colours and smile widely. The maagi cores total 52 and I smile. Completed my kill for the day then.
Lost and disoriented I try to choose one of the three three tunnels that lay before me. I look around and not a single one stood out for me. It is all the same. I have to find the Alpha in about an hour or so. I look at my tasks page again and I only have 1 hrs:46 mins left to finish the task. I can't fail my first task.
The energy in the air calls to me and I stretch my maagi senses to search for any form of maagi around. It took a while but soon I started feeling a pull towards the third tunnel. Rushing into it without a minutes thought I continue my search. The further I go the stronger the energy I am feeling gets.
Powerful energy can be hidden but this creature doesn't even try to hide it. It is powerful and it wants me to know, it's trying to scare me with its Beast Aura. Think again!
I head further into the tunnel and burst out into a clear space. It is unbelievable but I see a crystal clear lake in this space with beautiful trees all around it. The fruits on these trees give a faint white glow and my eyes widen. This fruit even though I don't know what it is has SSS maagi in it.
No! It's a trap! The fruit are specifically planted there to distract me. Once I complete my tasks I'll come back for them. A sinking feeling hit me and I know I must be insane to just walk away from a fruit of such nature but I need to focus.
I look around and to the right was a large cave mouth. Larger than even the cave that broight me I to these tunnels to begin with. Something big must be in there. That's what I'm meant to focus on.
I run into the cave and a huge roar stops me in my track and my eyes widen at the sight before me. A Nerculan that stood almost 12 feet. Long muscular legs are covered by furs that looked like they are mae of metal. What in the world is this? The Nerculan sees me and let's our another roar in my face but all I could focus on is it's eyes. I'm done for.
The Nerculan before me had the most distinct glowing crimson eyes. It felt like strong into pools of glowing blood. How in th is world is there an A+ Rank Nerculan? I thought the were just basically C+ Rank and the evolved ones become B+ at most.
The Nerculan was a female and instantly I know I am not just facing any Nerculan Beast. I am giving the Luna of the Nerculan Pack! She launches at me and I try to sidestep but she is faster. She slams into me sending me flying into th nearest wall. A snarl escapes her lips as she looks down on my collapse body.
I cough out blood as my insides try to mend back together. Just one hit from this beast broke my bones into pieces. I need to find a way to awaken her attack or I won't even be able to finish the task. I run at her and something like a smile crosses her lips. I slash with my sword and just as it is about to hit she dodges to the left and kicks me to the curb with her left forelimb. I slam into a rock that shatters on impact.
Regeneration kicks in but not fast enough. She runs for me and steps on my throat crushing it with the sheer force of her paws. I want to yell in pain but my voice is missing, my voice box gone. My vision starts to fade and waves and waves of dizziness hits me from sheer blood loss.
I can't die! Not now that I finally have power! Now that I can finally protect my lives ones and make everyone who hurt me pay! Not now that I can finally have a say in how the world works. I can't die! I can't die!
A newfound confidence blossoms in my chest but the pain was enormous. Every bone in my body has been crushed and some were even protruding out of the skin creating another wave of pain. My neck hung in an uneven angle and my throat was cruysh into a mash on the ground. In that moment I did the one thing Isis told me the day I took my dragon form. I LET GO!
Almost immediately without reaching for it I change from. My dragon form burst forth instantly and my wounds heal. I see fear cross the face of the Nerculan as she sees my wings and horns. Bet she never knew I had a truck up my sleeve. I am not in control as my dragon from flies in the sky. It feels like taking a back seat and watching my body act out of pure instinct.
The Nerculan leaps attacking me again but this time my dragon is faster. It dolucks out of the way, and retaliate with a slash to the chest. She let's our a painful growl and I smile. My dragon doesn't even wait for her to get her bearing, he flies up and pierces her eyes with his claws pulling them out totally.
The sight is gory and I feel like puking but I can't control it. This is my primal, animalistic form, without th human prejudices and guidelines. This is a predator trying to show its dominance. My dragon is powerful and it must not be taken for granted.
The creature falls to the ground squirming in pain from the emptiness of it's eye sockets it hits he walls shaking the ceekinvwbd almost collapsing the cave. My dragon stood above it flying in mid-air smiling at the pain of its enemy. The Beast messed with a king of beast and must pay for it.
My dragon not caring it is still in pain does something I have never seen before. He creates a huge ball of Divine Maagi. A mixture of all my maagi together. It hold the maagi and keeps filling it until it looked larger than even his form. Is that the amount of maagi I can control if I reach full strength? That's improbable!
It release the maagi as a blast with the ball still floating before him. The blast hits its mark on the chest of the Beast and she walks loudly in pain as her total boiy disintegrates. My dragon sighs in content and victory. I try to take control of my vidyh back but it won't let me. It wants dominion. I don't know how I know it but it wants control and my body will be the vessel.
A loud roar draws our attention as the ball of Maagi fades into nothing! The dragon turns to the creature glaring at us with so much rage and malice and I gasp. Even though words don't come out I could hold it back.
"Gr..Gr...Gre...Grey Eyes" I thought. This is an S Rank beast. An S Rank Nerculan beast? This must be the Alpha of the pack. Noo! I can't fight this monster. It will tear me to shred. I am still thinking about a way out when the creature starts to leap towards us. Insted of the fear I am feeling I noticed something different from he dragon. The dragon is excited. He is elated to face a creature of this power.
God! My dragon form is insane
