The private dining room of the luxurious restaurant is filled with the soft fragrance of expensive wine and polished wood, the table set with a feast of delicate dishes.
Daniel POV
I watch her closely. Diana looks shocked, her wide eyes blinking as though she's unsure if this moment is real. I smile gently and ask, "What happened?"
She lowers her gaze, her lips trembling into a small smile. "Brother, it feels like a dream… you asking me out for dinner. You're always so busy, always tied up with work, you barely even attend family dinners."
I lean back slightly, lips curling into another smile. "Why? Can't I?"
"No, it's not that," she says quickly. "I'm just surprised. But… I'm happy. Really happy."
"It's been a while since we sat together like this," I say softly. "I thought—why not share a dinner and talk properly?"
Her expression brightens, and she nods, her innocence glowing through. "That's great. I'm happy too."
