Dane's POV
The night is cold, but the snow falls so beautifully that I can't help but admire it. A hot cup of coffee warms my hands as I walk slowly through the quiet street. It's been two weeks since I was discharged from the hospital, and in all this time, Kyle has vanished like a dream. I haven't seen him again. Where he's gone—or who saved me that Day—remains a mystery.
But now, I just want to forget everything. It feels good knowing Kyle has been erased from my life, and I don't ever want to see him again. My life is simple now, and Jimmy—who knows the truth of who I really am—still prefers to call me Dane. We've started living like brothers, and I promised him I would never again sell myself to billionaires for money or pleasure.
I even started working at a café. It's hard work, but I'm trying my best. Looking up at the sky, I smile softly. The snow is white, gentle, and pure—just like this new beginning.
