Damien's POV
Ahh… my eyes flutter open, and the first thing I see is white. A blinding white. Ceiling, walls, light—everything is so bright it almost feels unreal. Am I… in heaven?
Then I hear a voice. Soft, trembling. "Dane… Dane…"
Jimmy.
Wait. I'm not dead.
My eyes snap open fully, and the sterile ceiling of a hospital room stares back at me. Slowly, reality sinks in—I'm in a hospital bed. My body feels cold, foreign, almost as if it doesn't belong to me. I try to move my hand, but the weight is unbearable. Jimmy quickly grabs it, holding on tight.
"Dane, are you okay?" His worried face hovers over me, his soft eyes filled with concern.
I whisper, my throat dry, "What is this…?" My memory is foggy. The last thing I remember is Kyle—his angry face, his hands tying me up. And now… this. A hospital room.
The nurse enters, checking my IV drip. Jimmy gently props me up and presses a glass of water into my hands. "Come on, you should drink some."
