[Rewards: +150 EXP, Mortal Grade Storage Pouch, 1 Bronze Pack]
[Quest Time Duration: 30 Minutes]
[Accept Quest?]
[Yes/No]
Another quest appeared in front of Leo, just as he was trying to make a plan so that he does not appear to be intentionally failing, and if things go south, he has an escape route.
"You don't want me to leave, alive, do you?"
But he knew that he had to save the woman and other civilians, and he can't just ask the bandit politely to let him take the civilians away. The bandit will chop him alive. And if he had to fight the bandit, why not just accept the quest?
So Leo did not think much about the quest or the rewards, and just accepted the quest.
[Quest Failure: The gold coins in your inventory will be taken away]
All this while, Leo stayed hidden behind the tree. The iron sword he got from the system was still in his hand.
He was just waiting for the right opportunity to attack the bandit.
[You have a 7% chance of winning in a hand to hand combat with the Bandit.]
[The Bandit is way stronger than you. But if you manage to strike him by surprise, you have a 39% chance.]
Leo grinned looking at his chances, "You could have made it easier for me."
By now Old man Grendel had also arrived beside Leo, crouching behind the tree. With one hand he held his straw hat, and with the other he clutched his chest like his heart would explode.
His breath was getting heavy, but he tried to keep his voice low, "Boiy, I swear on Hilda's hairy ass, this is suicide. That guy… That guy is built like a bloody ogre. He will snap you like a twig!"
But Leo raised a finger to his lips, "Shssshhh! Now there is no going back old man."
"On the path of righteousness… You come to a crossroad… You can either follow the rest of the world and ignore the plight of the innocents…"
"Or you can put your life on the line that makes you immortal in the eyes of the mortals…"
"Boiy…" Old man Grendel narrowed his eyes and looked at Leo, "Is there something you are hiding from me?"
"Me? Hiding?" Leo turned defensive and looked hurt, "I was there with you all along. What can I be hiding? I am not hiding anything."
"Why don't I feel like believing you?" Grendel hissed back, "You are going to die. I am going to die. We are all going to die. But you feel like you are looking forward to it."
"What kind of idiot walks into a fight with the Blackfangs and talks like he is a bloody hero?"
"Are all adventurers fucking this idiot?"
Leo looked at the scared old man, but ignored his rant. His eyes were locked on the scene unfolding in front of them.
That Blackfang bandit still had the girl by her hair, dragging her toward the broken cart. Her cries were softer now, weaker. She looked ready to pass out.
Leo's grip tightened around the hilt of his iron sword. The blade wasn't fancy at all. It was just a sharp lump of metal.
It was just a basic reward from the system. But it was still better than his bare hands.
His mind was running wild for something to work with. The bandit was big. At least twice his size. And the bandit was Level 3 according to the system.
And what was Leo? He had no idea. But it was sure it was not going to be a fair fight.
Not that it mattered, right now. He had to win, no matter what.
Leo had to ask for help. And he had one way to do it
"System, Do I have anything to beat that Bandit?"
A soft Ding! sounded in his mind, and a translucent screen appeared.
[Whatever you have master, it is in the Inventory]
→ Draconic Bloodline (Sealed)
→ Minor Mana Crystal (Common)
→ Minor Healing Herb (Common)
→ Short Iron Sword: Basic Weapon (Equipped)
→ Minor Health Potion (Common)
→ Amber Seed Extract (Common)

→ 50 Silver Coins
→ 150 Bronze Coins
→ Map of Dawnspire Forest
Leo looked at the screen in front of him and frowned, "Other than the sword. I have nothing useful. What do I do now?"
"Hey Old man," Leo turned towards Grendel, "Do you have anything that I can't use?"
"Look at you reckless brat," Grendel narrowed his eyes, "Jumping headfirst to fight the blackfang bandit and now begging me for help. Huh… What do you want?" Grendel grudgingly asked.
"Anything that can distract that Bandit," Leo asked with flushed cheeks.
"To distract?" The old man thought for a second and then pulled out a small black ball from his pouch and grinned.
"You are in luck, brat… I just finished my new batch," The old man looked at Leo and proudly presented him the ball.
"What is this?" Leo asked in a confused whisper.
"Boy… I present to you… The greatest invention of mine… Very destructive… My own recipe… My homemade…"
"Fucking just tell me old man, or I will shove this fucking thing in your throat. Then try gloating about this fucking thing through your hairy ass."
"This is a smoke bomb," The old man's face fell, hearing Leo's hurtful words.
"Smoke bomb!" Leo looked at the ball in his hand and tried making a plan.
"Alright, here's the plan. I will toss this smoke bomb to blind him. Then I will rush in with the sword, sneak behind him and go for the legs."
"This will get him off balance. Then I will stab his fat stomach until he stops moving."
Grendel stared at him like he was talking to a guy about to commit suicide, "That's not a plan! That's just you hoping that he won't retaliate."
"I am new to this place. How do you expect me to make a plan so fast? No one is that smart," Leo slapped him lightly on the shoulder, and smiled, "Relax. Worst case, I die and haunt you instead."
And then he turned his gaze back towards the bandit. He was still talking to the girl, licking his lips and dragging the girl closer.
Leo's eyes narrowed. The bastard was at the peak of his heat. This was the right time to move.
"Hey System! Do I get an automatic Agility boost with these clothes?" Leo asked before making the move.
[The System and your clothes will automatically increase your Agility by +1 after sensing your needs]
And suddenly Leo's body felt lighter. It was going to be fun.
Then he whispered to Grendel, "Stay here. If I die, write something cool on my grave. Like 'Leo: died before he could bang a princess.'"
"God! You are mad," Grendel muttered, but Leo had already started moving towards the bandit.
Leo carefully crept forward, keeping low and hiding behind the bushes. He tried his best not to make a sound and alert the bandit.
The bandit was still busy feeling up the girl. With one hand he had grabbed the girl by her hair, and with the other he felt her big boobs, squeezing them hard.
The bandit was having the time of his life. The lust in his eyes was growing by every second. He licked the girl from her neck to her face, wanting to devour her in one bite.
"Don't… Leave me!" The girl tried to protest. She tried to pull her face away from his slurping tongue. But in front of that bulky ass bandit, all her efforts were in vain. Despite all her struggles, she could only wriggle helplessly.
But Leo, the "Saviour of Innocents" could not let it happen. He was getting close to the two of them. He tried to make as little sound as possible.
Soon he was just 20 meters away… 10… 5… And then he stopped.
The smoke bomb was ready in his left hand, and his iron sword was drawn in his right.
He gently pulled out the small ring attached to the smoke bomb and rolled it in the direction of the bandit.
As the bomb rolled along the ground, thick grey smoke started fizzing out of it, and crashed against the bandit's leg. In no time the grey smoke engulfed the bandit and the girl.
The bandit let go of the girl pushing her against the tree. He coughed hard, his eyes turning red.
"Which bastard wants to die! Who is there?"
But before the bandit could understand anything, Leo shot forward like a dart.
His iron sword slashed out, cutting across the bandit's thigh from behind. It was a clean slash.
"Ughhhh!!!" The bandit screamed in pain. He pulled out the giant axe tied to his waist and swung it blindly. But Leo ducked the axe, rolled forward, and came up in front of the bandit out of the smoke area.
"Did I hit a nerve, big guy?" Leo spoke in a mocking tone, "Sorry, I was aiming for your tiny cock. Hard to find under all that gut."
The bandit roared, smoke swirling around him. His eyes were red and full of hate, "You little bastard! Whoever you are, If I catch ya… I will rip ya guts out!" His eyes were getting teary-eyed.
He charged forward blindly towards Leo's sound. But Leo stepped aside, and slashed again.
This time he cut the bandit from the chest to the arm, tearing the rugged armour he was wearing. Blood gushed out of his chest like a fountain, spraying on the girl, covering her face in blood.
But the bandit didn't seem to care for the pain this time. Without wasting another moment, he swung again. And this time he came quite close. Too close.
The massive axe of his missed Leo's chest by inches and slammed into a tree, thrusting deep into the bark.
"Damn," Leo hissed, "You almost had me. Missed me by your cock's size."
Maybe the adrenaline rush made Leo bold, but the bandit's face twisted, blood leaking from his wounds, "I will crush yar skull!"
"You can try," Leo grinned.
But the smoke was fading now along with the irritation in the Bandit's eyes. His eyes were watery, but he could see better now. And when he made out who was attacking him, he was a bit surprised to find a boy no older than twenty.
'A boy dares mock me?' As the bandit thought that, his blood began to boil even harder. If this ever got out, his Blackfang brothers will laugh at him, hell they won't even share his women with him.
Anger rose inside him, and he swung his axe hard, with every ounce of his energy. And this time Leo wasn't fast enough. Despite the added agility from his clothes, the blade grazed his ribs. His clothes managed to reduce the damage. But he could still feel the pain in his chest.
[HP: 93/100]
"Aaghh!!" Leo could not help but let out a sharp groan. The pain was too much for him to handle. He had at best been pricked by some needle. But the hit from the axe felt like a baseball bat hit his ribs hard.
[Adventure Clothes Durability: 650/700]
'I can't drag this any longer,' Leo thought as he slightly wobbled on his feet, 'His axe just grazed with me, and I already lost so many points.'
"Where are ya looking, bastard?'" The bandit only grew more angry when he saw Leo standing there, lost in his own thoughts, ignoring him.
"I will KILL YA!"
