Chapter 49 - Chapter 49 BNTG Backroom Non-Aligned Trade Group

Bang.

The shotgun pellets easily wiped out the health bar above a Hound's head.

Its dying whimper attracted more Hounds, but Leon showed no signs of retreating; instead, he held his shotgun and walked directly towards the Hounds.

"Come! Bring more!"

Leon, like a god of slaughter, wielded his Benelli Supernova Shotgun like a grim reaper's scythe; each shot brought down a Hound.

Click, click...

The shotgun, with only an eight-round capacity, clicked empty.

"I should have made a Big Pineapple."

The 'Big Pineapple' was an M249 machine gun.

It had a high capacity of 100 rounds, but its damage was too low; pulling the trigger would deplete his material stock too quickly, so he hadn't bothered making one.

But looking at the current situation, he needed to make a high-capacity weapon and carry it with him.

With a shield in one hand and an iron sword in the other, Leon charged directly into the pack of Hounds, occasionally throwing out a small handful of fire salt.

...

A B.N.T.G. patrol team received orders from their superiors to explore the 'Big Explosion' area.

This team consisted of five members: two held black submachine guns, two held compound bows, and one even held a child's squirt gun, with a tank-like container strapped to his back.

Fully armed, the group walked through the narrow passage.

"Damn Backrooms, it just won't settle down."

A burly man in the team couldn't help but complain.

"Shut up, Wright, don't think too much. The reward for this mission is great, and it includes your favorite royal rations. If you keep complaining, I'll give your royal rations to someone else after the mission."

"Royal rations? How could that charming dog shit be preserved?"

"Who knows, maybe someone invented a device that can store royal rations. Alright, according to the information, our destination is just around the corner ahead. Everyone, perk up."

"Understood, boss."

"Mhm, understood, Captain."

As the group passed the narrowest part of the passage, whimpers and strange cries came from the darkness.

The leader immediately raised his submachine gun, his gaze fixed on the dark area in the distance.

"Shit, that's the sound of Hounds. Judging by the commotion, it's at least a small pack of Hounds. Check the situation. If it's not right, return to the nearest safe area immediately."

"I told you, this damn mission wasn't going to be easy."

Wright muttered under his breath, then raised the weapon connected to the strange 'water tank' on his back, moving to the front of the group and standing firm.

[Item No. 19 Squirt Gun]

The squirt gun is a special water gun that can be used as a tool or weapon depending on the liquid it contains. The tank can be used to store liquids for easy transport.

And what Wright had on his back was 'fire oil'.

Fire oil is the liquid form of fire salt, very useful as a weapon in a water gun. When fired, it ignites upon contact with the target. It also does not harden inside the squirt gun.

"Weren't you guys having a great time biting just now?"

Suddenly, a faintly audible voice came from a distance. Wright turned to look at the captain and said, "Cook, did you hear someone talking?"

"Shut up, are you out of your mind? Quickly drink a bottle of almond water. If you attract a Grief Corpse, I'll shoot you..."

"Today, none of you are getting away!!"

This time, everyone's expressions changed because they also heard the voice coming from a distance. Not only that, but a group of Hounds were also charging towards their location.

Everyone stared dumbfounded at the figure behind the Hounds. The person was carrying a peculiar axe with a head-sized blade in one hand and a wooden shield in the other, following closely behind the Hounds.

Every now and then, he would catch up to a Hound and swing his axe.

Woof, woof...

All the Hounds let out whimpering sounds, like scared dogs in reality.

Thud.

Another Hound's health bar was emptied, and it collapsed to the ground, lifeless.

Leon pulled a bottle of gray almond water from his backpack, opened the cap, and poured it directly into his mouth. His hunger, which had dropped three bars, immediately returned to full.

Even the health he had lost from being accidentally bitten by the Hounds began to recover.

There were at least thirty Hounds in this group. He had killed more than ten with his firearms, and then another seven or eight with his axe, before they finally couldn't take it anymore and ran.

But would Leon indulge them?

Of course not!

And so, the current scene unfolded.

Wright looked at Leon's completely inhuman behavior, swallowed, and said, "Boss, what should we do?"

Cook, the leader, watched as the shield and axe in Leon's hands suddenly disappeared and reappeared, his expression becoming extremely serious. Hearing Wright's question, he said, "What can we do?"

"Retreat! Clear the main passage and fall back to the passage we started from. If the Hounds scatter and run, then eliminate them directly!"

Following his command, everyone retreated to the passage they had come from, and for safety's sake, they even moved back over a hundred meters.

Just as Cook had guessed, the Hounds did indeed split up to escape. Four Hounds quickly ran into the tunnel where they were located.

"Bows, prepare!"

"Shoot!"

Twang...

The bowstrings made a crisp sound, and the arrows became blurs, accurately hitting the Hounds' heads.

Twang... Twang...

The two team members quickly drew their compound bows, and soon two Hounds fell to the ground.

It wasn't that their submachine guns were out of bullets, but they wouldn't fire unless absolutely necessary. Firing guns could easily attract more Entities.

What they didn't know was that most of the nearby Entities had already been attracted by Leon.

"Wright!!"

Wright also moved very quickly, raising his squirt gun and aiming at the Hound only ten meters away from them, pulling the trigger.

Shallow orange liquid instantly shot out from the squirt gun, accurately hitting the Hound.

The moment the fire oil touched the Hound, fierce flames erupted, immediately engulfing the two Hounds.

"Squirt gun?"

Before the flames on the Hounds could extinguish, a voice sounded from behind the two Hounds: "Squirt gun, good stuff!"

Leon took a bucket of water from his backpack and poured it directly onto the two Hounds. The moment the water touched the flames, they vanished.

He collected the water, then grabbed the Hounds' legs, put them into his backpack, and converted them directly into energy value.

"I finally found an organization!!"

"Are you M.E.G. people?"

After a moment of silence, Wright said, "We are a B.N.T.G. exploration team. Who are you?"

"Backrooms Non-Alliance Trade Group? Uh, not M.E.G.? Well, that's fine too. My name is Leon, and I am an ordinary Wanderer..."

A Wanderer?

Could an ordinary Wanderer chase over a dozen Hounds?

Wright didn't believe a single word Leon said.
