Drag-Rides can be thought of as a different kind of Gundam.
Divine Drag-Ride, Bahamut.
Its name comes from the behemoth 'Bahamut' of Arabian mythology.
In the world of *Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle*, it set a record where a single person and a single Drag-Ride defeated over a thousand of the Empire's Drag-Knights in one night.
This led to the overthrow of the Empire.
The power of a Divine Drag-Ride lies in its unique 'Divine Skill'.
Bahamut's is 'Gluttony'.
For the first five seconds, it compresses energy, reducing it to a fraction of its original state. In the next five seconds, it instantly unleashes this power.
This creates a massive boost in combat power.
It's a bit like Ittō Shura and Ittō Rasetsu from a certain world.
"It's strong, and it's definitely cool, but for me, it feels a bit like gilding the lily."
Lin mused.
From what he understood, in terms of pure combat performance, a Divine Drag-Ride was definitely not weaker than a Kingship holder.
It might even surpass one.
But that's on the premise of a single Kingship holder.
He, however, possessed the authority of all seven Kingships.
Once the authorities fully merged, his power would surely skyrocket.
The Divine Drag-Ride would likely become useless.
But Lin wasn't one to complain.
After all, obtaining Bahamut hadn't taken much effort.
It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
Most importantly, he could summon a mecha (^-^)V.
Power is temporary.
But coolness is eternal.
If his reason hadn't been holding him back, Lin would have summoned 'Bahamut' right then and there to show it off.
He also wondered if the power of a Divine Drag-Ride would be effective against mystical beings like evil spirits.
Maybe, maybe not.
Although Divine Drag-Rides were said to be products of ancient high technology, they clearly looked more like products of magitech.
So they could be considered to have mystical properties.
Perhaps they could harm supernatural creatures like evil spirits.
He'd only know for sure after testing it.
Half an hour later, Lin returned to his residence.
He surfed the web on his phone while eating lunch.
Lunch was some bread he had bought earlier.
In truth, he could now go on without eating or drinking.
This was mainly thanks to the Silver's authority.
It possessed the characteristic of 'Immutability,' a power that could never be interfered with.
Ageless, immortal, sleepless, and tireless.
He had effortlessly obtained what countless people dreamed of.
So, Lin thought about his life goals.
He finally settled on three objectives.
One: Unlock more entries in the Codex.
The more entries, the more abilities, and the stronger he would become.
In this crossover anime world, the ceiling for individual combat power, from what he knew so far, had already reached the planet-busting level.
Someone like that could 'kill' him with ease.
Therefore, he was still somewhat lacking in firepower.
Two: Interact with the heroines.
This was a grand crossover anime world, with characters from various universes—especially the heroines.
How could he not go and meet them?
Before the Codex of All Things appeared, during his two and a half years since transmigrating, he had been making various preparations for this.
He'd had chance encounters with a few people.
And had even established certain relationships.
Three: Enjoy a good life.
Since he was here, he might as well make the best of it.
Now that his golden finger had arrived, it was time to relax and properly enjoy his second youth.
To strive for a life of freedom.
To do whatever he wanted.
And not do anything he didn't want to.
Time flew by like the wind.
Before he knew it, night had quietly fallen.
Feeling a bit bored, Lin decided to go out 'fishing' again.
He wanted to become an evil spirit-slaying machine.
He changed into a black hoodie, put on his white wired earphones, grabbed his three essentials for going out, and left.
It was a dark and windy night.
He had a premonition.
Tonight would surely be a big haul.
Once outside, Lin circulated his Aura, increasing his exposed life energy to start the night's fishing.
He deliberately headed for remote roads with few pedestrians.
After all, dark corners with scarce human presence usually concealed... things.
Nighttime was indeed when most monsters and demons came out to play.
Evil spirits were no exception.
Just an hour or so after leaving and wandering around the vicinity, Lin had already attracted five evil spirits.
Far more than during the day.
Ignoring the evil spirits around him, Lin continued along the relatively secluded road.
At nine o'clock, the night was pitch-black.
After wandering about, Lin arrived at a deserted area on the outskirts of the city.
A dense swarm of evil spirits followed him, but unfortunately, they were all low-level grunts.
This left Lin slightly disappointed.
He turned to face the dense swarm of evil spirits behind him, couldn't be bothered to say a word, and simply activated his power.
Clusters of flames appeared out of thin air, forming into arrows.
They then precisely locked onto every evil spirit present and shot through the air.
Three seconds later, not even ashes remained.
All the evil spirits were vanquished, disappearing along with the flames.
A notification came from the Codex of All Things.
Thirty-five new entries had been unlocked.
The rewards were all energy.
With a thought, he chose to claim them.
The Aura within him grew a little stronger.
Lin looked around and finally decided to head back the way he came.
He was going to go home, wash up, and go to sleep.
It seemed his premonition of a big haul had been a misjudgment.
Just as Lin was thinking this, right after leaving the deserted area, he came face to face with a beautiful girl.
Her long, pink hair cascaded down to her waist.
She had delicate features, an outstanding appearance, slightly elongated corners of her eyes, and a pair of beautiful, emerald-like pupils.
Around her neck, she wore a silver cross necklace.
In the center of the cross was a bead.
It looked as if it were made of condensed fresh blood.
She wore a black long-sleeved top paired with a pleated miniskirt.
Her chest was prominent, and her legs were straight and slender.
She was a super-beautiful girl with both an excellent figure and stunning looks.
A notification came from the Codex of All Things.
Clearly, this was someone worthy of an entry in the Codex.
At this moment, the pink-haired beauty was looking at Lin with a hint of curiosity, her gaze flickering slightly.
Seeing this, Lin made a decision.
He took the initiative to walk forward, stopping two meters away to greet her:
"Hello."
"...Hello."
Her eyes shifted slightly, and the pink-haired girl gave a sweet smile.
Her gaze sized Lin up.
She felt that something about him was attracting her.
An impulse stirred faintly within her.
Her eyes lingered on Lin's neck.
A blush spread across her fair cheeks.
A certain longing appeared in her eyes.
She couldn't help but take small steps toward Lin.
"Is something wrong?"
Noticing her strange behavior, Lin couldn't help but frown slightly.
Why do I get the feeling she wants to bite me?
At the same time, his mind raced, trying his best to recall any memories related to the pink-haired girl.
"Ah, n-nothing's wrong."
Startled by Lin's voice, the pink-haired girl snapped back to her senses, her face flushing as she quickly averted her gaze.
She took a large step back.
She felt both shy and confused.
She didn't know why, but she had an uncontrollable urge to suck the blood of a human she had just met.
This was the first time in her life this had happened.
"As long as you're okay."
Seeing her reaction, Lin didn't press the matter and changed the subject:
"My name is Lin. And you are?"
"My name is Akashiya Moka."
The pink-haired girl stated her name, her face slightly flushed, her eyes not daring to linger on Lin for long.
