Chest heaving and blood trickling into his eye. He dodged himself to exhaustion, but he still had no idea on how to beat the giant wolf , not to talk of the orc king himself.
"I need to get rid of this wolf." Minho muttered, cleaning sweat from his face with the sleeve of his shirt.
The dire wolf howled and lunged towards Minho again. This time he spotted an opening, right before it dropped it's gigantic claws on him - he moved, skidding underneath its belly, and put all the force of his back into an uppercut to its jaw, sending it flying.
"Eh?" Minho stared at it blankly. "I had the strength to that? Curse you, system."
Just when he thought he was getting it, he noticed the orc king was missing.
"SPARTAN BOLT!" The orc king's roar came from above. Minho had little time to act before his left hand was burnt off. He stumbled over on the floor. For a moment it fell quiet, until the pain all came crumbling. "GAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
The orc king landed from above in a loud THUD, making a large crater. It was way bigger than it looked on the dire wolf. It raised it's spear and pointed it at Minho, who was staggering to stand, a few feet away.
It was a command for the wolf and with a jump from behind the orc king, it pounced on Minho. Luckily, he made another narrow escape, gritting his teeth as blood from his forehead blurred his right eye's vision. Trying to clean the blood, a gut punch he hadn't seen coming, sent him into a wall. "Ack!" He coughed out blood and fell to the ground.
He wasn't going to give up there, was he? He pulled every ounce of strength he had and blitzed towards the orc king with a punch. The orc king barely blocked it with it's spear, skidding back for long, before stopping. Minho was about to lunge again when the wolf's paws slammed him into the wall, pinning him with it's claws driven into his stomach.
"GAHHH!" He coughed out a lot of blood. He was going to die. The end has come. He just got this great power and it was not enough. He was not enough. Why was he still alive in the first place? Why was he still alive... That rang a bell in his head. "Huh?"
The orc king who thought he had died, frowned. Minho smiled, "My, my… now I remember why I'm still alive." He used his right hand to hold one of the wolf's fingers, squeezing it until he crushed it's bone. The wolf drew back in pain and was about to attack, but Minho's next words made it stopped and also made the orc king take a step back.
"Your rage pleases me. Your hatred is a fuel. You wish for power? Not the power to save. Not the power to protect. You wish for the power to destroy." Minho stated, barely standing straight with his hair fallen over his eyes. These were the words he heard before gaining this monstrous power. He took slow steps, towards the wolf, making it step back in fear. "Then i grant it." Suddenly, that same voice of primordial destruction, joined him. "Become my vessel. Become the herald of annihilation. Your path will be of ash and oblivion. Embrace the void within, and let it consume all." Minho stopped and the voice disappeared. "That's why I'm still alive." He muttered to himself.
The orc and the wolf had already started trembling, after hearing that voice. Minho raised his head slowly, a maniacal smile playing on his bloodied face, crimson glowing eyes. "How dare you stop the will of destruction?"
[Power restricting system has been destroyed by Player's will!]
[All system features active!]
[Player has obtained new title!]
[Dragon's Vitality activated!]
Minho ignored system. He rolled his shoulder as his left hand started to regenerate, the holes in his stomach sealing. "You," he pointed at the wolf. "Thanks for helping me remember. For that, I'll make your death less painful." A small flaming orb appeared at the tip of his finger. "Don't be a bad dog and say goodbye to your owner."
[Annihilate activated!]
The orb turned into giant blast of flame, before zipping off. From where Minho stood, to where the wolf was, straight to wall was smoking red track. He then turned to the orc king, his hand now fully healed. "Your little dog's trick has worn off. What do you say, we fight like real men?"
Enraged beyond reason and forgetting the primal fear in it's chest, the orc king lunged at him. It's speed was undeniably incredible for it's size and strength. But so was his.
Minho ducked, right on time and sent it back where it came from with a sickening scorpion kick. The orc raised it's spear, a bolt of lightning crackling around. As it pointed the spear at Minho, a huge bolt of lightning, just like earlier, blasted Minho. The orc smiled, it had landed a shot.
"For a moment there, I thought I was going to get baked." Minho's voice came from the smoke as he coughed. The orc's smile faltered as the dust cleared. Minho hadn't moved an inch.
[Scale Armor active!]
Minho's clothes were burnt and tattered. He had taken burns - severe ones - but thanks to Scale Armor and Dragon's Vitality, it was no much of a big deal. His demeanour returned to it's calm and cold state. "But do you only know how to use fireworks? Kills me to see you have a weapon but still not make good use of it." The air around him became violent.
The orc king roared - a monstrous, deafening sound. A wave of energy hit Minho.
[Territorial Orc Leader has used buff skill! Enemy stats are increasing at an incredible rate!]
As the roar stopped, all Minho could see in front of him was a raging beast - puffed muscles, stretching it's skin, overflowing with mana and having just a single objective - to kill him.
"My, my. Now this is interesting." Minho said, eyes half lided.
