Chapter 26 - Mysteries in the Objectives

"Well, you're both here," said Three.

"You see, I'm here because of the imperial artifact," said Two.

"But you see, before you speak," said Two.

"Don't you think it's strange that these people would do anything for the kōki, since, well..." said Two.

"They could kill someone and steal the imperial artifact," said Two.

"Then I realized something. What if there's a map here too?" said Two.

"A map?" asked Three.

"Yes, exactly," said Two.

"A map can be worth less than nothing or millions, but what they always have are locations of many places," said Two.

"And what if there's another imperial artifact in that place?" said Two.

"It could be, you're right," said Three.

"That's exactly what I'm saying," said Two.

"Ah... by the way, you stole the ability of a dead man, didn't you?" said Three.

"How do you know that?" said Two.

"Because even though you always act calm, I know the function of your other ability because of a contract you made," said Three.

"Yes, exactly," said Two, laughing.

"I love that you know me so well even though it's only been two years," said Two, laughing.

"Exactly. In fact, a girl with the power to create knives was still alive, and I asked her something," said Two.

A few hours earlier, before Isack arrived where he was, and after the fight between Four and Amalia.

Outside, someone arrived at the room, which was completely destroyed. It was Two, who looked around at the destruction.

"Wow, what happened with the explosion? She's crazy for having bombs hidden in her suit," thought Two.

"Wow, look what we have here," said Two, seeing three bodies.

"One is torn to pieces, another is split in two, and the last one is intact with a slight wound," thought Two.

"Ha... hh..." A voice could be heard breathing weakly.

"I see you're still alive," said Two.

"Who... who are you..." said Amalia weakly.

"Don't worry, I just want to know something," said Two.

"What... do you... want to know..." Amalia said weakly.

"Ah... wait..." Amalia said.

"Eretu... Sharnak..." Amalia said.

"She must think I'm one of her companions," thought Dos.

"I... can't... see... you... well..." Amalia said.

"But... I feel... that... it's... you..." said Amalia.

"Yes... yes, it's me," said Dos, thinking hard about what Amalia had said.

"I... knew it... did they... succeed..." said Amalia.

"Yes, we did," said Dos without thinking much about it.

"So... you got..." said Amalia.

"The... map... of... the basement..." said Amalia.

"There's a basement here," thought Dos.

"So... the... mission... is... already... done..." said Amalia.

"Yes, we did," said Dos.

"Huh... I... knew it..." said Amalia.

"Yes, exactly. Hey, since you're about to lose your life, how about lending me your power?" said Dos.

"Yes... you're... right..." said Amalia.

"Use... your... power... of... control..." said Amalia.

"Use... my... corpse... to... help... you..." said Amalia.

"Yes, but first I need to know if you agree," said Dos.

"I... agree," said Amalia.

"Well, I'll just touch your head for a second," said Dos.

"That... is... strange... but... okay," said Amalia.

Two puts his left hand on her head and with his right hand takes out his book. Two does something strange and draws a little blood from Amalia.

He puts it on a page of the book and on the page appears an image of Amalia's appearance, her power written below, and how it works written further down.

"Thank you very much," said Dos, smiling.

"I don't... know... what... is happening..." said Amalia.

"But... I'm... glad... to have..." said Amalia.

"Helped... Sharnak..." said Amalia.

Amalia closes her eyes and does not open them again. Dos watches her and gets up, closes his book, and puts it away. After a while, Isack also arrives.

Narrator: "For those who don't know, Dos has two different contracts. One is that he can take someone's ability by force, even if the person doesn't want to give it up. Dos takes their ability, but takes their life in exchange," said the narrator, explaining.

"But the second is that he can take someone's ability without taking their life if the person agrees to give it to him, so Dos just takes a little of their blood and puts it in the book," said the narrator, continuing with the explanation.

"But the condition is that it has to be a person who is about to die, and he must touch them and take a little of their blood. That's in both contracts for stealing a person's abilities," said the narrator, finishing the explanation.

Returning hours later, before many minutes had passed, with two and three in the basement and also before the confrontation upstairs.

"I see, but then you took his ability," said three after hearing what two had said.

"Exactly, I took it, but I won't use it right now because it seems like a good idea to save it for later," said two.

"Hmm... exactly what ability is that? Please tell me," said Three.

"The book said he could create knives, but the second description says he has an extra ability with his power," said Two.

"It really said that?" said Three.

"Yes, it seems that with his knives he could create a rain of knives under certain conditions," said Two.

"And what are those conditions?" said Three.

"I'd better keep that information to myself for now," said Two, walking further inside.

"Hey, but tell me, it's dangerous, right? It is, isn't it?" said Three as he followed Two.

"Hey, Three, be quiet. I hear footsteps approaching," said Two.

Two and three hide, and just then a girl with long blond hair, lion ears, and a tail arrives. She looks around as if searching for something.

"Damn, it's not here. I'll have to go deeper to find it," thought Hana.

Hana continues on, Three and Two secretly following her without her noticing, but Hana turns around and looks back, then smiles.

"Hey, you can come out. I can sense your presence just by smelling your scent," said Hana.

"I see, you found us," said Three, coming out of hiding.

"Hmph..." sighed Two, also coming out of hiding and staring at Hana.

"Wow, so there are only two of you. What happened? Are there no other members?" said Hana.

"Not only are the others busy right now," said Three.

"Yes, but I think this will be quick," said Hana, getting into attack position.

Three and Two prepared to defend themselves from the attack, Hana lunged forward with brutal force, Three and Two dodged the blow, and Hana ended up hitting a wall and destroying it.

"Damn, that blow would have killed someone," said Three, watching Hana destroy the wall.

"Wow, you guys have great reflexes," said Hana.

"I came back for a rematch, you damn kitten! I'm going to kill you!" shouted a voice in the distance.

Three, Two, and Hana stopped and turned to see a boy running toward them with a katana in his hand and three other people running behind him.

"Who are those guys?" thought Two.

"I know one of them, but not the others," said Hana.

"Seriously, who asked you?" said Three.

Suddenly, the boy disappeared, leaving electrical particles on the ground, and appeared in front of Hana, who dodged the cut.

"Damn bastard, you never learn, do you? You need another beating," said Hana.

"Who said I learned anything, you damn rabid dog?" said Mogi.

"Like you told me," said Hana, annoyed, a vein in her forehead bulging with anger.

"What you heard, bitch," said Mogi.

"Hahaha... they called you a bitch because you look like a dog, hahaha..." said Three, laughing.

"I think Akutagawa went too far with his vocabulary," said Draken, breathing heavily after following Mogi for a long time.

"Yes, but remember that this whole world is wrong, so bad vocabulary doesn't matter, you piece of shit," said Aiko, smoking a cigarette.

"Yes, you're right," said Draken.

"Hey, Akutagawa, calm down," said Rebecca.

"I'm going to cut you into pieces," said Mogi.

"Then try it, you bastard," said Hana.

Suddenly, there was a cutting sound from above, as if someone were using a saw. Everyone looked up, and suddenly two saws appeared on the floor above and cut through the ceiling.

They form a circle, and the circular piece of floor falls to the floor below. Everyone sees that there was someone on top of the piece.

"This is the floor, or I'm not mistaken," said Aron.

"Hey, who the hell are you?" said Tres.

"Ah, it's you," said Aron, but before he could finish, something happened.

Two people appear from under the floor as if they had been in mud, although they are further back because they came out at a bad time.

They had to get closer because they were too far away, but even so, they were still too far away, and after a few seconds, they were finally in front of everyone.

"Ah, Julius, it's you," said Three.

"Ah, it's you, Three. I didn't know you were around here," said Julius.

"I heard some voices and came here," said Julius.

"That's because that idiot hasn't stopped yelling for a while," said Three, pointing at Mogi.

"Isack, you came after all," said Two, seeing him there.

"Of course I did, otherwise I'd be out of the battle," said Isack.

They all looked at each other, as if it were now going to be a fight between groups, but Hana was the only one who was alone in this.

"Hey, stop! I'm the only one without a team. Wouldn't it be rude to all go after someone alone?" said Hana.

"Yeah, but we don't give a shit!" they all shouted at Hana.

"Well, well, you guys sure do make a lot of noise," said a voice.

Everyone turned and saw three people arriving. One of them had claw gloves, another was wearing a suit and carrying two police batons, and the last one had stripes and stitches all over his body and face, as if he had been sewn together.

"I asked if you were making a lot of noise because you're not answering me," said the guy with the police batons.

"That guy in front with the gloves has a dull look in his eyes, but he's wearing the imperial device," thought Three.

"I asked if you were the ones making a lot of noise," said the guy with the police batons again.

"If you don't answer, then I'll have to force you to," said the guy with the batons.

Everyone stared at those three people, and one of them was already wearing the imperial device.
