Wakushi launches a flurry of fire cuts, which Hana dodges while Aron blocks them by throwing his arm guards.
Wakushi cuts the guards with his claws and then lunges at Hana, who dodges the attack but notices something strange happening to Wakushi's body.
"It must be the consequences of using them at full power," Hana thinks.
Meanwhile, in the corridors above, Taujima is running while thinking about something.
"What Sharnak said before he left, about all of us," Taujima thinks.
Minutes earlier, Taujima, Mishiro, Wakushi, and Sharnak were there. The Vales had arrived in the basement a while ago to retrieve the imperial artifact.
"Hey, do you think it was a good idea to leave Amalia fighting alone?" said Taujima.
"It was her decision, and you know how determined she is when she sets her mind to something," said Sharnak.
"Well, here's the beauty we're looking for," said Mishiro, taking a pair of gloves with claws on the fingers out of a box.
"With that is Imperial Artifact Number 39, the Dark Dragon Reinart," said Sharnak.
"Yeah, now who's going to put it on?" said Mishiro.
"I'll be the one to put them on her," said Wakushi from behind everyone.
"Well, that was to be expected, but okay, he'll do it," said Mishiro.
"But what if I want to put them on her? What would you do about that, Wakushi?" said Mishiro.
"Hey, idiot, don't mess with me," said Wakushi, approaching Mishiro.
"I don't care that you're a murderer who has killed many people and a bastard who doesn't care about the lives of others," said Wakushi in front of Mishiro, close to his face.
"Relax, it was just a joke," said Mishiro.
"But if you want a fight, I hope my skills can leave you as a bag of bones," said Mishiro in a threatening tone, close to Wakushi's face.
"But that's enough. You better put them on," said Mishiro, moving away from Wakushi.
"Damn idiot," Wakushi said angrily.
"There's still a problem," Sharnak said.
"What problem?" Wakushi, Taijima, and Mishiro said.
"The problem is that Reinart, the dark dragon, is known for causing mental problems in people," said Sharnak.
"He makes people feel a strong sense of aggression out of nowhere," said Sharnak.
"Which only makes them want to fight until one of them wins, and they don't stop until they break each other's bones," said Sharnak.
"I've heard from many people who have seen people using that artifact," said Sharnak.
"And that many of them have been so corrupted that they only have strong feelings of aggression, driving them crazy," said Sharnak.
"In the end, they sell their souls to death and madness with stress, rage, psychopathy, and anger," said Sharnak.
"I see what happens," said Taujima.
"Well, if I don't try it, then we won't know," said Wakushi.
Wakushi walked over to the gloves and put them on. Suddenly, a tremendous aura of power was released, but after a while, nothing happened, and that fearsome aura disappeared.
"Well, nothing happened," said Wakushi.
"Well, then it was just rumors, nothing more," said Taujima.
"It seems I shouldn't have trusted it," said Sharnak.
"I wouldn't say your hypothesis is bad, Sharnak," said Mishiro.
"What do you mean, Mishiro?" said Taujima.
"Well, you see, everything always has its side effects," said Mishiro.
"So if we take the logic that Sharnak said and the side effects," said Mishiro.
"Surely, the more you use it, the more that feeling will increase and affect you," said Mishiro.
"Well, what you say makes sense," said Taujima.
"Well, if you take that into account, then it's a yes," said Sharnak.
"Well, then I'll make sure to have more control over myself," said Wakushi.
"Well, I'd better go," said Sharnak.
"You're leaving so quickly," said Mishiro.
"I have to tell the boss that we got what we wanted," said Sharnak.
"Well, I hope it goes well for you, because with everything that's happened, I think he'll be a little irritated," said Taujima.
Sharnak walked away from everyone and left on his own, while the others watched him for a few minutes.
"Well, you'd better try that right now to find out," said Taujima.
"Yes, that would be best," said Wakushi.
A few minutes passed, and while Wakushi was practicing, they heard some noises. Wakushi, Mishiro, and Taujima heard it too.
They followed the noise to see what was happening, and when they arrived, they saw some people in the distance who appeared to be fighting, and Taujima decided to intervene.
A few minutes later, Taujima thought about what Sharnak had said about the imperial artifact, hoping that it wouldn't happen.
Back with Wakushi, he was a little exhausted, while the others were very tired and Hana was a little injured.
"Wow, this guy is tough," Hana thought.
"Now I can," whispered a voice.
"Now I can kill you, idiot!" shouted Mogi.
Mogi moved quickly, activating his ability, but suddenly it vanished, and Mogi ended up attacking with a slash of his katana, which Wakushi dodged without any trouble.
"Looks like you're out of battery, electric boy," Wakushi said mockingly as he walked away.
"Damn idiot bastard," Mogi said angrily, backing away.
"Looks like you need more batteries. How about choosing the gold and black ones from the rabbit? Don't you think that's a good idea?" said Wakushi.
"Idiot, I swear I'll kill you," said Mogi.
"Akutagawa, calm down. He's provoking you. Don't listen to him. You're at a disadvantage right now," said Draken.
"I'll kill him. Don't stop me," said Mogi.
"Calm down, kid. Leave it to me," said Dos, walking beside Mogi.
"You're going to face me," said Wakushi.
"Exactly. Now you'll see how I do this myself," said Dos.
Dos extends his hand and activates his ability, and stones come out of Dos's palm, which function as projectiles that Dos throws.
Wakushi blocked the projectiles with his gloves. Dos fired several stones, one of which was slightly larger. While Wakushi was blocking those projectiles, that same large stone hit him in the head.
Wakushi was left semi-conscious due to the impact of the blow, leaving him bleeding from the head. Wakushi fell to the ground, bleeding profusely from his head.
"Wow, that was easy," said Dos.
"It seems this guy doesn't have much experience," thought Dos.
Suddenly, Mogi moves to kill him, as do Hana, Tres, and Aron, who launch themselves into the attack without warning, but something strange happens.
"Hmph..." sighed Dos, sensing something odd.
"You guys, get away from there!" shouted Dos.
"What's going on?" they all thought.
"It can't be that guy," thought Aiko, feeling something overwhelming.
Suddenly, Wakushi gets up and, with his eyes completely white, quickly hits and scratches Mogi, Hana, Tres, and Aron.
They fell to the ground spitting blood and then watched as Wakushi went into a frenzy and attacked Dos, who dodged Wakushi's attacks.
Wakushi also attacked Draken, Rebecca, and Aiko. Draken and Rebecca dodged Wakushi's attacks, and Aiko repelled him with a blow and put some distance between them.
"This guy let himself be influenced by the imperial artifact in order to win," thought Aiko.
"This is already a big problem. A guy who is now crazy is attacking us," thought Dos.
"This is why I don't like this kind of work," thought Aiko and Dos at the same time.
Wakushi lunges forward and more fire is used, burning a large part of the area. The others keep their distance, and Yana, observing the situation, knows there will be trouble.
But the first to move is Three, who pulls out another hidden axe and attacks Wakushi. Wakushi blocks with his gloves, but Three headbutts him.
He then kicks him in the stomach and attacks from below with the axe, but Wakushi blocks again and cuts Three's shoulder badly.
Three cannot regenerate due to the flames, which limit him greatly. Mogi is another who attacks by surprise, but Wakushi easily dodges the katana blade.
He then scratches Mogi's abdomen, causing him a lot of damage. Aron attacks with his claws on his arms and manages to make a small scratch on Wakushi's cheek.
Wakushi uses the flames to hit him hard in the face, sending Aron flying backwards. Aron crashes into a wall and Mogi quickly grabs his katana from the ground.
He tries to cut Wakushi in half but fails to do so in time. Wakushi attacks with several black flame projectiles, throwing them with his claws.
Draken destroys some of them, protecting Aiko and Rebecca from the attack, while two repel them with stones, causing minor damage to the property.
Wakushi attacks Dos, who dodges and then uses another ability that ties Waksuhi up with plants, which serve as whips, trapping him.
But Wakushi breaks free with his flames and ties Dos up again, who dodges and keeps his distance. Then Waksuhi attacks Aiko for being closer, and she dodges.
Dos takes a pistol out of his pocket and shoots, but even though he hits Wakushi, he remains standing and is now crazier than ever, attacking Dos, who is protected by Tres, who takes the hit.
But he is fine; it will take time to regenerate from the fire, but now they have more problems, as Wakushi is increasingly losing his mind.
