She actually kissed me, not on the lips mind you, but on the cheek.
I wasn't dreaming or imagining things, this was as real as the girl sitting next to me, but I didn't know how to react, she was into me? Now that I think about it, lots of things have been happening for the past 2 weeks with her that I didn't see as advances.
Until now.
I was as stiff as a statue, but warmth somehow radiated from my body, and my heart felt like it was going to explode. As Hana pulled away she noticed how stoic I was being, and then had a genuine look of concern on her face.
"I'm sorry, I think I may have gotten carried away, but does that answer your question?"
My muscles finally decided to work again, and I slowly moved my eyes towards Hana's.
"N-no you're fine, it was-"
I Paused, I didn't know how to describe how I felt about her kissing me out of the blue.
"Nice."
"Nice…?"
"I'm sorry, I haven't exactly been kissed before, so I'm not exactly brimming with knowledge of how to describe it."
"Me neither Masaichi, but do you know how It felt?"
Hana, still holding my hand, squeezed it tight once again.
"Relieved, I have had these feelings for quite some time, it felt good to let you know"
"I see."
Hana looked at her door once again, she seemed concerned about her father barging into her room for some reason, but that was fair considering what was going on right now.
"I was actually awake before you were sitting right next to me, I heard you talking to my dad about groceries, am I right?"
"Yeah, I was planning to get them after I left here, what about it?"
"I don't want to keep you from doing that, despite you being…"
Hana paused and took a deep breath, she was trying to pick her words carefully.
"Really good company."
"Oh I see, so you're kicking me out?"
"No, you can stay as long as you can, but I have a feeling that it won't be too long."
She was right, despite her blinds being shut, I could tell that there was about 2-3 hours of daylight left, I needed to get going now or I would be back by the time it was pitch black.
"Well I better get going."
"Wait!"
As I was standing up, for the 2nd time today she forcibly grabbed my forearm and stopped me in my tracks.
"You just said you didn't to keep me from getting groceries and yet your actions are telling me otherwise."
Hana, who was still quite feverish and sweaty was having a hard time holding on to me, her hand was slipping from my forearm, just because of how sweaty her palms were.
"Its not that I'm keeping you, I have one last thing I need to say."
"Alright, make it quick please."
"You don't have to tell me right now if you reciprocate or feel the same way, I want you to think about how you feel about me, and tell me what you think would be right moving forward, of course if you don't feel the same I still want to be friends but I will understand if you wont."
"Hana-"
"Go, I don't want to hold you here any longer, I would feel selfish if I did"
And without another word I left her home.
I had a lot to think about, too much in fact.
