A cold glint flashed in Anna's eyes as she stared at Tina, who was still playing the saint. Anna felt nothing but disgust.
She lifted her chin, smiled a little, too calm to be real and said, "I didn't plagiarize. Why should I hold a press conference? Stop pretending. Let's just handle this like adults."
Tina's smile flickered. Of course Anna wouldn't back down.
Tina had been waiting for this, waiting for the moment she could both crush Anna's reputation and look noble doing it.
She sighed dramatically and shook her head. "Sister, if that's your stance, then I'll take it up properly. Once we find the original author and sue, a press conference won't cut it. You could even face jail time."
Anna saw through the whole act. Tina was building herself a halo while pushing Anna off a cliff.
A tiny sarcastic spark danced in Anna's eyes. She actually wanted to see Tina's face when the truth came out.
