Night Raid's headquarters.
Najenda's former seat had been replaced with a massive sofa, where Alistair sat, holding Persephone.
Najenda, Akame, Mine, Hill, Leone.
The five women sat quietly to the side, lost in thought.
At that moment, Ker's figure appeared in the room.
"Your Majesty, it's done."
Ker bowed, handing Alistair two orbs of world power and lifting two Teigu into the air—a bundle of threads and a blunt sword.
Cross Tail: Ever-Changing.
Demon Armor: Incursio.
Alistair took the orbs, which transformed into two more nails.
"Lubbock. Brand," Ker explained to the concerned women. "I've altered their memories. They'll live peaceful lives in a small village."
The five women sighed in relief. In the Empire, a quiet life was the best outcome.
Alistair toyed with the eight nails. "Eight anchors for the Children and Daughters of Destiny. We're missing Kurome, Chelsea, and Esdeath."
"But there's no rush."
Ker said, "Your Majesty, I'll collect them now."
"Hehehe~~~" Alistair smiled. "Ker, no need to hurry."
But seeing her hesitation, he added, "Fine. If you don't want to rest, go gather the rest."
"Yes!" Ker departed again to retrieve the remaining three anchors.
"Besides that..." Alistair mused, raising his hand. The Demon Star bracelet on his wrist expanded, dispersing into 108 streams of dark purple light that vanished into Night Raid's headquarters.
"Eliminate the Empire's darkness."
"Seize control of the world."
"Retrieve all 48 Teigu."
Alistair issued commands, and the Demon Stars scattered.
"Now, we just wait."
Holding Persephone, he asked, "Persephone, how long do you think it'll take with the Specters' power?"
"Dust, three to five days at most," she replied. "Even the weakest Specters, the 36 Heavenly Stars, have Sixth or Seventh Sense Cosmos. The 72 Earthly Stars all have Sixth Sense Cosmos. In this world, cleaning it up is child's play."
Alistair nodded. "Indeed. As for the Empire's nobles..."
"Hmm~~~"
"Eliminate them all. Send them to Hell as a source of darkness."
In a few words, Alistair set the tone for the world.
In a world corrupted by human darkness, the nobles were its epitome.
Joking aside, if you killed ten nobles, you might miss one.
But if you killed eight out of ten, you'd definitely miss some.
So, wipe them all out. This world would become a faith nation; nobles weren't needed.
"Your Majesty," Akame said softly. "Kurome, she..."
Alistair smiled. "Don't worry. I won't let Kurome or Chelsea die. When Ker brings them back, have them sign the familiar contracts."
With a wave, two contracts appeared before Akame.
"Thank you, Your Majesty." Akame took them, nodding obediently.
"Hehehe~~~" Alistair looked at her, pleased.
No rush.
Akame and Kurome, as sisters, would be more enjoyable together. Otherwise, where's the fun?
As for tonight's meal?
With dusk falling, Alistair's gaze settled on Najenda.
She bowed respectfully.
Alistair released Persephone and headed to the room, Najenda following obediently. The tall, commanding woman, once an Imperial general and Night Raid's boss, was visibly nervous.
Though she hadn't fought in years—let alone a battle like this—her hesitation as a general was evident.
"Really," Persephone shook her head, unconcerned, and turned to the four women. "Akame, Mine, Leone, Hill."
"Lord of the Underworld!" they replied obediently.
Persephone said gently, "No need to be so tense. Your roles depend on whether we can modify the Teigu. If successful, you'll remain Teigu users. If not, you'll become the next generation of Specters."
"Yes."
The four nodded, unsure about Teigu modification or Specters but willing to obey.
"Really..." Persephone shook her head. "We need to add basic knowledge to the familiar and subordinate god contracts. Otherwise, it's too complicated to explain."
She pondered the issue.
Meanwhile, Alistair, as the God of Darkness, waged war on Najenda, the former Imperial general.
But her combat skills had clearly deteriorated.
Her flexibility as an assassin, however, was on full display.
