Nevaeh didn't notice anything unusual. She quickly stood up and took a step back. "Thank you."
Samuel smiled gently.
After borrowing the book, Nevaeh left the library without giving it much thought and headed back toward the Bennett family home.
But once she got there, she would inevitably run into Cassius.
Just thinking about his expression, like someone owed him millions, made her feel a deep-seated aversion.
Even though she didn't want to return, it seemed she had nowhere else to go but the Bennett estate.
With no other choice, she took a car back to the mansion.
Hussein greeted her with a smile as she arrived. "Welcome back, young lady."
Nevaeh nodded and returned to her guest room to put the book away. While organizing her bag, she spotted a set of keys and decided to head out.
"Hussein, where is he?" she asked.
"The young master just returned and is in the study," Hussein replied.
Nevaeh turned and walked toward the study.
