They arrived at Vernon's mansion.Raina got down at the frontier.Right in her sight was the most beautiful mansion ever.Raina never thought she would be here again.
The mansion brought back a lot of memories.This was were they meeted most of the time in the past.A place she use to know.
Nothing changed.The place was exactly like she remembered.The way she decorated it.
Even without Luke she would have been able to find her way through the mansion.
Raina was led to the dinning hall where Vernon was.His sharp gaze fell on her as she drew closer.
"What do you want?" She asks.
Vernon pointed to a chair "Sit."
Raina knew she could not keep standing so she hesitantly pulls out a and sat down deliberately choosing the seat next to the one opposite his.The table was filled with lots of crafty and sweet smelling delicacies.Most of which she could not name.The sight was so tempting for her almost empty stomach that had only had two apples.
A lady came and began dishing out a plate for her.Raina immediately stops her saying she didn't want it but the woman continued and left after she was done.
Now Raina and Vernon were the only ones in the dinning.The sound of cutleries hitting a ceramic ware dish cut through the tense, heavy silence.Vernon cut through his rare steak with slow graceful movements like a prince.He looked sweetly handsome in his tailormade white suit that fitted and outlined his strong body.The cameras never did enough justice to how handsome he really is.One look at him would make an average looking person question everything about creation.
This amazing 'piece of art' used to be hers.At least that is what she thought until he broke her in the cruelest way possible.Raina felt a sting in her heart when she remembers how he broke up with her.She snapped out of her daze and focused on the situation.
Vernon disregarded Raina's presence and continued eating.This ticked Raina off.
Her phone was buzzing nonstop because calls from Casper.She had texted him to push up their date to two hours later but now she is taking longer than intended.
"Why did you ask me here? Damnit! I have a date to go to." Raina yells.
"You wouldn't be going on that date." Vernon speaks a sentence for the first time since she entered.
"You are a bastard." Raina stood up abruptly making the chair screech against the floor.She was a fool for taking his threat seriously and coming.
"If you get out that door,kiss your career goodbye.I meant what I said in the phone Raina."
Raina turns to face him.Vernon points back to where had been gesturing her to seat down.
Raina dragged her legs and sat down.
"What do you want? And just so you know,I called the cops on my way here.Do not think of trying anything funny." Raina warns.
Vernon's dimples cut into his cheeks as he smirked.The same smirk that had her head over heels in the past was now tickingly annoying.
"Be my contract girlfriend." He says forwardly.That was the same offer she got from her Ceo a month ago when his drug scandal erupted.
"I am going to tell you the same thing I told Mr Philips.Capital NO." Raina placed a lot of emphasis on the last word.
A flicker of amusement crossed his face.
"I made it sound like I was asking for old times sake.I am not giving you a choice." Vernon said dryly.He leans back into his seat and wiped his mouth with a napkin.Donning his signature poker face.
"You are crazy,Vernon." Said Raina.
"Then I guessed you would prefer to go down for illegal adoption instead."
Raina slammed her hands down on the table at his words.
"Watch your mouth."
"It's not a lie is it? Bailey is not your sister."
"Vernon!!" Raina snaps.Threatening her was okay but doing it with her sister was unacceptable.Raina has loved and cared for Bailey more than a sister ever since she found her straying without anyone to care for her.Who says people have to be related by blood to be family?

"I am afraid you would have to,honey." Vernon placed both hands on the table in a business like manner. "I need you to make the press go crazy and overshadow my scandal."
"That is not a reason.The last time I checked, your scandal has disappeared from the internet.
You were the one who broke up with me in the past so what's all this? Want me now that I am dating Casper? Dream on!" Raina was more than irritated at this point.She drew a deep breath.Her fisted hands on the table trembling from anger and disbelief.
"You aren't really dating Casper.You are just riding on his coattails.
