"Jiraiya!!!"
Tsunade's roar echoed throughout the training ground.
Jiraiya came running over, then saw An Yan and glared at him.
"What are you doing here? You're not welcome."
Tsunade punched Jiraiya and pointed at the fish. "What do you mean, not welcome? I just asked you to catch me a couple of fish, and you managed to mess that up. Where are this fish's organs?"
Jiraiya covered his head and crouched down. He glanced at the dissected fish and said pitifully, "I needed bait for fishing, so I used them."
Tsunade was so angry she was speechless. An Yan patted her on the back to calm her down.
"Don't get angry over something like this. You know he's an idiot."
"Who are you calling an idiot?" Jiraiya said angrily, but they both ignored him.
"Sigh." Tsunade sighed and rubbed her forehead. Then she looked at An Yan. "Did you need me for something, An Yan?"
"Oh, so it's not 'big brother' anymore?" An Yan teased.
"If you tease me again, I'm going to ignore you." Tsunade remembered her previous actions and blushed with embarrassment.
Jiraiya watched their interaction, feeling both ignored and jealous. Why is Tsunade always so mean to me, but so gentle with An Yan? It's so unfair!
Orochimaru, who had been practicing ninjutsu alone, also saw An Yan and stopped his training to walk over.
"An Yan, is something wrong?"
An Yan smiled at Orochimaru. "Do I have to have a reason to see you guys? Can't I just miss you and Tsunade?"
Orochimaru looked at Tsunade, then pointed at himself, confused.
"Why would you miss me? You mean you miss Tsunade, right?"
Tsunade's face turned pink with shyness.
An Yan smiled gently at Tsunade, then at Orochimaru. "I came to find Tsunade, but since you're all here, you can come with me."
Tsunade was puzzled. So there really is something?
Seeing her questioning gaze, An Yan said, "I came across something good and I need Lord Tobirama to take a look at it. You know, ever since he went into the new Technology Development Department, he hasn't come out. Ordinary people can't get in, so I have to ask for Princess Tsunade's help."
Tsunade lightly punched An Yan and muttered, "I really thought you came to see me because you missed me. It turns out you only came because you needed something."
An Yan smiled. "I do need something, but I also missed you. You see, I always come to see you when I'm not on a mission."
Hearing this, Tsunade thought for a moment and realized it was true. Her mood immediately brightened.
"Don't worry, you can leave it to me."
Tsunade waved her hand and started walking towards the Technology Development Department.
An Yan and Orochimaru followed closely behind. Jiraiya wanted to follow but hesitated.
An Yan, Tsunade, and Orochimaru gradually walked away.
"Aren't you going to call Jiraiya?" Orochimaru asked, confused.
"We're not on a mission. Why would we call him?" Tsunade said.
"I didn't say we weren't calling him. He just didn't follow," An Yan said.
Orochimaru turned his head and shouted from a distance.
"Jiraiya, are you coming?"
Jiraiya, who had been standing with his head down, suddenly looked up. Seeing Orochimaru calling him, his eyes grew slightly moist. He jumped up and waved.
"Wait for me!"
The three of them didn't stop, but they slowed their pace slightly.
An Yan remarked, "Orochimaru is so kind."
Tsunade said, dissatisfied, "Are you saying I'm not kind?"
An Yan quickly corrected himself. "Of course Tsunade is very kind."
Tsunade then asked, "So who's kinder, me or him?"
An Yan secretly shook his head. Why would a girl compare her kindness to a boy's? It's a lose-lose situation. But he couldn't say that.
He said gently, "Of course our Tsunade is the kindest."
Tsunade was overjoyed. A lot of the time, girls know you're lying, but it's a matter of attitude. As long as you're willing to say it, they'll take it as the truth and be happy.
Jiraiya ran up and put an arm around Orochimaru. The four of them laughed and joked all the way to the Technology Development Department.
The department was located underground, and the entrance was guarded by ANBU members. They were stopped as they approached.
Tsunade revealed her identity and asked the ANBU to inform Tobirama.
The ANBU member didn't move but simply waved his hand. An ANBU member in the shadows suddenly vanished.
Jiraiya looked at the ANBU members' masks with envy. "ANBU looks so cool. I suddenly want to join."
Tsunade scoffed, "You? Try again in ten years. You're still far too weak."
Jiraiya clenched his fists. "Damn it, how dare you look down on me! I've had enough of you! You flat-chested washboard!"
Tsunade flew into a rage and sent Jiraiya flying with an uppercut.
Orochimaru watched as Jiraiya flew farther and farther away and said with concern, "Did you use that much force? Is he okay? You didn't kill him, did you?"
"I'm a medical ninja. My chakra control is precise. Don't worry, he's not dead." Tsunade took a deep breath to calm herself down, then turned to An Yan. "Jiraiya... that guy is so annoying. He doesn't even read books; all he does is spout nonsense."
An Yan nodded and smiled in response. He knew what Tsunade was talking about. Girls usually start developing between the ages of eight and thirteen. Tsunade was only six or seven, so being flat-chested was normal.
Although children in the ninja world matured early, their bodies still had to develop normally.
Just then, the underground door of the research department slowly opened, and Tobirama Senju walked out, wearing a white lab coat.
An Yan's nose twitched. He caught the faint smell of blood and formalin.
It seemed Tobirama had been in the middle of surgery or some kind of human experiment.
Tsunade also smelled it and frowned, slightly displeased with her great-uncle.
The Senju clan had already lost many people due to Tobirama's human experiments with Wood Style. It seemed he had started them up again.
Orochimaru's eyes lit up with admiration as he looked at Tobirama. The legendary Second Hokage was his idol. Orochimaru's parents had also been researchers under Tobirama, but unfortunately, they had died at the end of the first war.
