Chapter 32 - Chapter 31.

Life in solitude in the shack by the river was peaceful and simple; there was a quietness in the dense forest, and between Joyce and me as well. We were not familiar with each other yet. It had only been a week since we met. So, we were still silent… every time Joyce would try and make conversation, I would either grunt, brush it off with one word, or just flat out ignore her. I was in no mood to be open to her about anything. I felt nothing anymore, as my soul was chipped, piece by piece, layer by layer. There was no more of the onion to peel. It had withered away completely, leaving me in a deep and dark depression.
