Chapter 23 - YGS [23]

The people of Liyue scrambled to buy card packs… but once they heard Luya say supplies were limited, first come first served—

The shop floor grew even more chaotic!!!

Trying to keep order, Luya realized he had misspoken. Though the store's stock was technically limited, there was more than enough for the customers present.

He quickly corrected himself:

"Don't worry, don't worry!"

"There's enough for everyone, everyone gets a share!!"

Originally, the shop had 1000 packs. After Hu Tao bought 110, 890 remained…

Since Luya promised a 10% discount for opening day, if he could sell out all the packs, he would easily make 18 million Mora.

Now, excluding Zhongli and Hu Tao, there were about thirty others in the store. A few children were only there for fun and unlikely to buy much.

Big spenders like Hu Tao, casually carrying 2 million Mora in pocket money, were rare. So with the current crowd, selling out in one go was going to be tough.

Even if Hu Tao could buy them all, she didn't have much Mora left on her.

Removing the children, there were around twenty potential buyers. Unless each bought forty packs, Luya wouldn't be closing early…

Though realistically—most could only afford about ten packs. Some maybe twenty or thirty.

That meant Luya would still be left with about 500 packs to sell later.

A bit tricky…

While Luya was thinking—Hu Tao, having shaken off her earlier loss, was back to her cheerful self. She came over to his side, helping him maintain order like a poster girl:

"Everyone!"

"Don't rush, don't rush!"

"There are plenty of packs here, line up properly~"

As Hall Master of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Hu Tao had some renown. Despite her status, she was down-to-earth and approachable…

So in Liyue Harbor, her popularity among common folk was quite good!

Hearing her words, the noisy shop quickly calmed down.

Seeing how effective Hu Tao was, Luya couldn't help but think—

"If only Hu Tao could become a store clerk~"

With order restored, Luya began selling packs:

"Alright, today's grand opening special—everything 10% off!"

First in line was a young man in his twenties, looking a bit strapped for cash.

He said shyly, "Boss… I only brought 100,000 Mora. I'll take 5 packs."

Luya smiled and handed him 6 packs instead. The man placed his Mora on the counter, happily tearing into them at once.

As calls of "Rare! Common! Super!" rang out, he looked thrilled.

One by one, about fifteen customers were served. Altogether, 270 packs were sold.

Luya realized his mistake… most people didn't have much Mora on them! Even those who wanted to buy more couldn't pay right away.

He sighed helplessly: "Ugh… really suffering from no mobile payments here!"

Hearing this, Hu Tao, who was helping him with money and packs, tilted her head curiously, bangs falling over:

"Huh!?"

"What's mobile payments—something to eat?!"

"Does Zhongli know?"

Zhongli shook his head.

Luya chuckled: "Hehe~ nothing, just a local specialty snack from my hometown. I'll treat Hall Master Hu to it someday!"

"Alright!"

"I want 100 packs!"

A Bank of Northland deposit slip worth 2 million Mora hit the counter.

Hearing that, Luya's mood instantly soared.

Finally—a rich customer!

It was the same man who, at the start, had asked about the price of Dark Magician Girl!

Like Hu Tao, he bought 100 packs. With the discount, Luya handed over 110 packs.

Unlike the others, he didn't rip them open on the spot. Instead, he packed them neatly into a bag and walked straight out of the Duel Monsters shop.

Watching his back, Luya smiled and said, "What patience—to resist opening them right away."

Soon, all the casual customers had bought their packs.

Even so, about 400 packs remained unsold.

However, considering only two hours had passed since opening, selling 600 packs already was amazing. Even with the discount, Luya had cleared 10.8 million Mora!

Most importantly—Running this card shop cost Luya nothing!

The packs were automatically generated by the system, 1000 per day.

Meaning, Luya could simply coast by, idling in Teyvat without worry.

But no—he was determined to spread Yu-Gi-Oh! quickly across Teyvat! Today's success was thanks to Hu Tao!

With Hu Tao and Zhongli's help, many people had already learned the rules of dueling.

Now all he needed was time.

As Yu-Gi-Oh! spread among the people, sales would explode!

Across all Liyue—and even all of Teyvat—The Yu-Gi-Oh! card business was Luya's monopoly. He had no rivals!

Seeing that aside from Zhongli and the few timid children, everyone else had already bought packs—

Luya asked, "Anyone else want to buy packs?"

That's when Zhongli spoke, "Boss, I'll take them all."

At those words, Luya broke into a cold sweat…

"Uh…"
