"Hey, I am back. Sorry for being late. I got stuck somewhere—"
I was not even finished speaking when I felt Theo's arms close around me and he pulled me into his chest.
"Y-You are back-! When you did not appear, I thought the worst had happened and I—"
Theo's eyes almost had tears in them. I knew I should find this irritating and annoying but for some reason, it was hard for me to find Theo annoying.
He just looked like a giant and adorable puppy when he pulled stunts like this and I could not bring myself to hate him for any of this.
"I understand. B-But can you let go now? Breathing is getting harder for me."
I asked and Theo quickly let me go with a sheepish look on his face.
Emma and Ben walked over to me as well, their faces filled with concern and Theo stepped toward me just a little more so that he could stand behind me and fill the space at my back.
"So, what did you go out to do, Kyle? It's quite late."
