Nami clapped a hand over her mouth, her eyes wide!
Zoro looked at Ignis. He knew what had happened.
Arlong's bite force was insane, but his teeth were too brittle! They shattered the second they touched Ignis!
"Heartsteel, huh, kid?"
Ignis's armor was visible where his shirt had been torn. Not a scratch on it!
Arlong spat out the broken teeth. New ones sprouted in their place a few seconds later. He glared at Ignis, holding back for now.
Zoro stared at that reddish-orange armor. He'd felt something weird when he put it on.
It was no ordinary armor.
Its defense was freaking unreal! Arlong's teeth couldn't even leave a scratch!
The Arlong Pirates were stunned!
"How is that possible?!"
"Arlong-aniki's teeth... They broke?!"
"There's something Arlong-aniki's teeth can't bite?!"
"Arlong-aniki's teeth can chew through steel!"
Of course, in a fight, a moment's hesitation could be fatal.
Ignis's daydream cost him!
Arlong had snapped at him while he was spaced out! Nothing happened, but still!
The Arlong Pirates' daydream was way more costly.
"I said, your opponent is me! You can't afford to lose focus in a fight!"
Sanji watched the fish-man karate master still staring in shock. He launched a kick, sending the guy crashing into a wall!
The other officers were also rattled by their boss's setback.
The tide of the battle was turning in the Straw Hats' favor!
Meanwhile, the villagers were winning their own fight! Yosaku had found the badly wounded Johnny and joined the villagers heading for Arlong Park!
This was the main event! Whether Arlong went down was the only thing that mattered today!
Beating a hundred small-fry fish-men wouldn't mean a thing if Arlong was still standing!
"You not gonna try biting me again?"
Ignis strolled towards Arlong, who was stepping back, watching him.
He was analyzing! He was scouting Ignis's armor! Looking for a weakness!
If his teeth couldn't do the trick, what could he attack?
Did the armor cover everything?
If the shoulders were a bust, how about the arms?
Arlong crouched low, gathering power in his legs! He launched himself forward, charging Ignis again!
Fish-men lived in the sea! Their legs were freaking powerhouses! They could swim like torpedoes!
Ignis watched Arlong charge, still didn't try to block! He just raised his hammer, waiting for the attack!
Arlong couldn't break his defense! But his hammer could deal some real damage!
Arlong chomped down on Ignis's arm!
CRACK!
More teeth went flying!
Ignis's sleeve was ripped, but the armor underneath was still there!
This time, Arlong didn't have a chance to escape!
The freaking hammer swung down, smashing into his head and sending him flying!
Volcanic Rupture!
Ignis slammed his anvil into the ground! A jagged, dark-red pillar of stone erupted in front of Arlong!
Arlong, unable to change his course, slammed into the pillar!
Searing Charge!
Lava rippled under Ignis's feet! The phantom of a red ram flared around him! He charged at Arlong, the air burning in his wake!
CRASH!
Arlong had leaped away from the pillar just before Ignis hit!
He wasn't looking so cocky now!
He was breathing hard, blood trickling from his head and mouth! He was freaking terrified!
He'd dodged the hit, but he was close to being a goner!
"Didn't hit ya, huh? Why you looking like you're about to kick the bucket, Arlong?"
Ignis hopped off the pillar. His speed was a little slow. That was the downside of being a tank!
Was he a Devil Fruit user? How else could he make those pillars pop outta the ground?
He could still fight, but...
Arlong glanced at Ignis, who was still looking all chill, and his guts twisted with doubt!
He remembered something he hadn't believed before: this pirate crew had beat the 17 million Berry Krieg Pirates!
He believed it now! But he still didn't think this guy could've tanked Hawkeye's slashes!
Without his shield, Ignis was just a human! He couldn't stop Hawkeye's blade!
"Hey, kid! Stay outta this! I'll give you some of the cash I've made over the years!"
"Enough to live like a freaking king for the rest of your life!"
"Fifty-fifty!"
Arlong was trying to deal! It was how he'd stayed on top for ten years! He used money to smooth over the bumps!
Ignis thought for a second, then tapped his head with his hammer.
"Who gets the fifty?"
Arlong blinked. His brain short-circuited. He didn't get it!
"Hahahahahahaha!"
Nami's laughing made Arlong realize he'd been played!
"You ungrateful little punk!"
He stared at Ignis, who was still standing there, looking untouched! He coiled for another attack!
He was gonna use his trump card!
"Saw-tooth" Arlong wasn't just called "Saw-tooth" for his teeth! His nose was a freaking blade!
It was razor-sharp and harder than steel! Combined with his leg strength, nothing could stop it!
This lightning-fast speed and razor-sharp nose were his secret weapon!
"Just gonna bite, ya freaking trash? Why ain't you charging?"
Ignis kept the taunts coming! He wasn't in a hurry to attack! He was waiting for his Heartsteel cooldown!
If he could stack two more hits on this elite monster, he'd be set!
"Hahahaha! I'm more than just a biter, you freaking moron!"
Arlong leaped into the pool!
Fish-men could hit top speed in the water!
Arlong set his sights on Ignis and charged again!
Shark Dart!
He shot outta the water like a missile!
Ignis was ready! He grabbed his hammer and anvil, and lava surged under his feet!
Searing Charge!
A blue blur and a red streak slammed together!
