Chapter 61 - Chapter 61: Nash's Fang

The next day, the Drakkari Trolls attacked again.

Yesterday, they were indeed frightened by Gale's spell, thinking the Kaldorei had a way to break it.

After returning, the Witch Doctors analyzed the situation and believed that the giant ice spear might have been a coincidence.

Even if it wasn't a coincidence, such a spell certainly couldn't be cast too many times.

To confirm this idea, they returned again.

This time, they directly sent out one hundred Mammoths, with ten as a team, advancing side by side towards the fortress.

Facing such a saturated Mammoth charge, the Kaldorei would inevitably use the ice spear spell from yesterday.

If the fortress could continuously kill all one hundred Mammoths, they would choose to retreat.

If the fortress could not kill all one hundred Mammoths, then they could break through the fortress.

The Drakkari Trolls were fearless in the face of death; even knowing it was a suicidal attack, they showed no fear.

They rode their Mammoths towards the fortress, but as soon as they entered the mountain pass, they saw the Kaldorei had piled up a large number of wooden barrels in front.

Upon seeing the Mammoths, the Kaldorei opened and pushed over the wooden barrels.

Green liquid flowed throughout the mountain pass, making a rustling sound as it moved.

Then, a strong, pungent odor drifted over.

"Poison!"

A Troll officer shouted loudly, looking nervously at the bubbling poison, his voice filled with fear: "Retreat! This is highly poisonous!"

But the Trolls were somewhat confused, and soon they paid the price for their foolishness.

The strong, pungent odor made them dizzy and disoriented; some weaker Trolls directly fell unconscious, tumbling from their Mammoths.

The Mammoths also felt uneasy, and they all shuffled backward, moving away from the terrifying poison.

On the city wall, Yue Nu watched the Drakkari Trolls retreat, and couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Just as the pungent odor drifted over, he quickly covered his mouth and nose with a wet cloth and said to the Mage beside him: "Don't let the smell of the poison drift into the fortress."

The Mages immediately cast spells, blowing the smell of the poison to the north.

Coming down from the city wall, Yue Nu arrived at the forging area.

The forging area was already full of people, all curious to see how Gale would forge a divine artifact, and had come to watch.

The scene of forging a divine artifact was rare; it might be the only time they would ever witness it in their lives.

So, even though the forging area was already full, some people still climbed onto the city wall or the second floor of the warehouse area.

Gale ignored these people, his entire mind and body immersed in the forging.

He was currently making enchanted thorium ingots, the only material that was both convenient and immensely powerful.

Beside him, a magic furnace was burning, and the eternal gold inside was slowly melting.

One day later, Gale finally completed the creation of the enchanted thorium ingots.

He also put the enchanted thorium ingots into the magic furnace, then instructed the Mages to use mana to power the magic furnace.

With the enhancement of Arcane Energy, the eternal gold completely melted and mixed with the enchanted thorium ingots, turning into a golden-yellow alloy liquid.

Gale made a short sword mold, then took out a huge fang from his magic pouch.

"Nash's tooth?" Maiev was incredibly surprised, not expecting Gale to carry such a precious material with him when going to war.

Yue Nu was also very surprised, then quickly felt relieved.

Nash's tooth was the most precious material on the Hydra's corpse, containing the most abundant divine power.

No wonder Gale was confident in forging a divine artifact!

A specially treated Nash's tooth was itself a divine artifact.

If it were further processed by Gale, the power of this divine artifact would definitely not be small.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation.

The Mages also began to anticipate; no one knew Gale's forging skill better than them.

Under the gaze of everyone, Gale compared the tooth to the mold, then drew out the Golden Holy Sword, infused Arcane Energy into it, and fiercely struck the tooth.

"Ah!"

Amidst everyone's exclamations, Nash's tooth broke into two halves.

What a pity!

Everyone felt regret; how could the divine power contained in half a tooth compare to a whole tooth?

They all knew this truth, and Gale should know it too!

So they were very puzzled as to why Gale would waste half the divine power of a tooth; was it just to fit the mold?

Gale did not answer them.

He placed the tip of the tooth into the mold, then poured the alloy liquid into it.

While pouring, Gale cast spells to activate the eternal holy grail placed on the table, infusing its Arcane Energy into the mold.

After pouring all the alloy liquid, Gale casually discarded the mold, using his free hand to adjust the position of the tooth in the alloy liquid.

Soon, the alloy liquid gradually solidified.

Gale broke the mold, and while the alloy liquid had not completely solidified, he raised his forging hammer and hammered it, forming a sharp edge.

Then he polished it on a grinding wheel to complete the sharpening.

Finally, he placed the short sword on a stand, took out an Azsunite yellow crystal drill, and began to engrave Frost-type titan runes on it.

As the titan runes were carved, they gradually lit up.

A large amount of cold air emanated from the short sword, making all the Kaldorei present feel a biting chill.

Seeing this, Maiev immediately instructed the Priests, "Isolate the cold air! Don't let it invade the fortress!"

The Priests immediately stood around, surrounding Gale and casting divine magic.

The cold air was isolated, and everyone felt much better.

They all looked enviously at the short sword; it had such immense power even before completion, what would it be like when finished?

Many people showed greedy gazes; who doesn't like a powerful weapon?

Yue Nu also swallowed hard; if he could obtain this divine artifact, he would be willing to lose everything he owned.

Maiev frowned tightly; the offensive glances around her made her very uncomfortable.

This divine artifact belonged to Gale; how could they covet it?

She completely forgot that Gale had also stared at Aggramar's Shield in the same way back then.

Gale did not feel these gazes, and even if he did, he wouldn't care.

His entire mind and body were immersed in carving the runes; with each Titan Rune he carved, his understanding of the rune's meaning deepened.

He had a feeling that if he practiced regularly, he would definitely be able to completely master these titan runes.

But unfortunately, titan runes were not that easy to enchant; they required very powerful energy.

The four titan runes took Gale a full two days to carve.

With each Titan Rune carved, the cold air emanating from it would intensify.

When all four runes were carved, Gale felt as if he was in an abyss of extreme cold, so frozen he could barely stand it.

He quickly completed the enchantment, and the moment it was finished, the cold air completely vanished.

If it weren't for the large amount of cold air still lingering in the air, Gale would have wondered if it was just an illusion.

Those cold airs were merely dissipating while the titan runes were incomplete; after the enchantment was finished, they completely retracted.

After installing the hilt, Gale finally took the short sword in his hand, feeling its powerful strength.

The Priests withdrew their divine magic, and Yue Nu walked over and asked, "Is it finished?"

Gale opened his eyes, and a blue light shot out from them, startling Yue Nu and making him stop in his tracks.

He smiled, "It's finished!"

Raising the short sword, he said, "I'll call you Nash's Fang!"

"
