"Enough is enough!"
Aokiji's face was stern, his voice as cold as ice as he said, "If you lay another hand on the Navy, don't blame me for being ruthless."
Bahr shrugged, glancing sideways at Aokiji with a grin. "If you don't make a move, neither will I. But if someone insists on throwing themselves at my blade, don't blame me for being merciless."
He couldn't care less whether Smoker represented the righteous Navy. If anyone dared to attack him, not cutting them down immediately was already an act of mercy on his part.
Out of the corner of his eye, Bahr noticed the ship had drifted far away and secretly sighed in relief. But before letting go, he suddenly leaned close to Hina's ear and whispered in a voice only she could hear, "Miss Hina, this first meeting has been truly unforgettable. I hope next time we meet, you'll greet me in a more enthusiastic way."
Hina's heart jolted violently as she gritted her teeth. "Hina swears, one day Hina will make you pay for what you've done today!"
Only by throwing this "Blasphemer" into the Deep Sea Prison could she quell the hatred in her heart!
Bahr raised an eyebrow at Hina's flushed face, a hint of amusement flashing in his eyes. Suddenly, he reached out and pinched her chin, chuckling lightly. "In that case, let's make an even deeper impression on Miss Hina."
Just as Hina was about to curse him, Bahr suddenly leaned in. The warm, soft sensation carried an almost predatory air, causing her pupils to constrict in shock as her entire body stiffened.
The distant Navy soldiers immediately erupted—some wide-eyed with shock, others clenching their fists in anger.
Tashigi covered her eyes with a red face, not daring to look, while Smoker's expression darkened like burnt charcoal, the cigar between his fingers creaking from how tightly he gripped it.
Just as Hina gritted her teeth to counterattack, Bahr suddenly released her, stepping back two paces into space. Before leaving, he blew her a kiss with a triumphant smirk. "Miss Hina, you're even more charming when you're angry. Thanks for the hospitality!"
The pink-haired captain truly had an extraordinary flavor.
As the spatial ripple vanished, Hina viciously kicked at the empty air, only to hit nothing. Trembling, she wiped her lips, humiliation and fury nearly setting her ablaze as she growled through clenched teeth, "Blasphemer—Bahr! Hina will never let you go!"
Aokiji walked up to Hina with a grim expression, placing a hand on her still-trembling shoulder. His gaze was like an ice pick as it pierced toward the figure suddenly appearing a hundred meters away, flipping through the air. "I won't let this guy get away with this!"
Clearly, Bahr hadn't just angered Hina—he'd also roused the usually lazy Aokiji into action.
....
On the deck.
The salty sea breeze lifted Miss Valentine's skirt as she held up her parasol, gazing worriedly at the fading outline of the port. "The ship might be going too far. Should we turn back a bit? What if the boss—"
Nico Robin leaned lazily against the railing, glancing at Miss Valentine. "The boss's abilities are beyond your imagination. Since he told us to set sail first, he naturally has a way to escape."
Even without his bizarre powers, just the fact that he could fight Navy Admiral Aokiji spoke volumes about Bahr's strength.
Daz Bones stared into the distance, his pupils contracting slightly when he spotted the figure flipping through the void. His tone was calm but certain. "The boss is back."
Everyone followed his gaze to see Bahr walking through the air as if it were solid ground, each step creating faint spatial ripples.
"Boss~" The moment Bahr landed on the deck, Miss Valentine's sweet voice clung to him as she swayed her hips and wrapped her arms around his. "I was so worried about you!"
Bahr glanced sideways at the clingy Miss Valentine in his arm, the corner of his mouth curling into a faint smile.
Miss Valentine's "jealousy act" might be sour, but it carried an unconscious liveliness that was rather enjoyable.
Strong men enjoying admiration was simply the way of the world.
"Enough dawdling. Speed up the voyage," Bahr ordered, surveying the group.
"Boss, I just checked—the ship's supplies aren't enough to get us to Sabaody Archipelago," Nico Robin said, propping her chin on her hand as she looked at Bahr. Her eyes flickered with surprise when she noticed his completely unharmed clothes.
That was Navy Admiral Aokiji. For him to come back unscathed... No wonder he dared to do something as bold as attacking a Celestial Dragon.
Bahr raised an eyebrow, pondering for a moment. "We'll restock at the next island. Who has a Log Pose?"
They couldn't stay in Alabasta any longer—they needed to get far away. And sailing through the Grand Line required a Log Pose; otherwise, they'd have no way to navigate.
As everyone exchanged glances, Nico Robin chuckled softly and pulled out a bronze-colored pointer from her inner pocket. "I happen to have a fully charged one here."
She shook the pointer, tilting her head at Bahr with a faint, enigmatic smile. "Like I said, I can be useful to you."
Bahr shot her a glance, thinking to himself how this woman had already thoroughly inspected the ship's supplies the moment she came aboard and even prepared a backup Log Pose in advance.
Twenty years on the run had truly engraved the word "caution" into her bones.
From the original story, it was clear that Nico Robin was thorough in everything she did. Calling her a natural "secretary-type talent" wouldn't be an exaggeration.
Staring at the faint smile on Robin's lips, Bahr found it increasingly irritating—as if she was mocking him for being blind to her usefulness and treating her as just another tool.
He abruptly pulled his arm free from Miss Valentine and walked straight up to Nico Robin, snatching the Log Pose from her hand and tossing it to Daz Bones. "You handle the navigation."
Daz Bones caught the pointer expressionlessly.
Then, without another word, Bahr wrapped an arm around Nico Robin's waist and grinned. "As for you... You deserve a proper reward for being so helpful."
The trouble Aokiji caused would be her burden to bear!
Nico Robin stiffened slightly but didn't resist, allowing Bahr to lead her toward the cabin.
From the moment she decided to cooperate with this man, she knew their so-called "partnership" was just a transaction of mutual benefit. But she never expected him to "retaliate" so pettily over a single offhand remark.
It seemed she'd have to watch her words around him from now on.
"Enough. This is annoying. We'll talk inside," Nico Robin frowned, pressing down on the restless hand wandering below her waist. A faint blush colored her otherwise cool face.
"Boss is so unfair! What does she have that I don't?"
As the cabin door slammed shut, Miss Valentine stomped her feet angrily on the deck, her high heels clacking against the wood like an angry kitten whose tail had been stepped on.
First that orange-haired girl, and now this one—they just kept stealing the boss away from her!
Daz Bones didn't even bat an eyelid as he headed to the helm. Mr. 5 went to the lookout post, while Paula went below deck to organize supplies, leaving the "jealousy queen" to stew in her sour mood alone.
