The atmosphere instantly froze. Everyone's gaze was drawn to the sudden turn of events, their eyes wide and jaws nearly hitting the floor.
Aokiji narrowed his eyes slightly, gripping his ice blade tightly. His usual lazy smile had frozen stiff as he spat out through gritted teeth, "Kid, playing dirty now, are we?"
"Can't be helped. Facing the Navy's Top Military Strength, if I don't use some tricks, my life would be over right here," Bahr replied with a roguish grin, looking completely unbothered.
He'd never claimed to be a good person. When his life was on the line, using underhanded tactics was only natural.
Ah, you might ask why he didn't take Smoker hostage instead? What a joke—why grab a rough, smoke-covered man when there was a fragrant beauty right there?
Bahr's gaze roamed over Hina's figure like a physical touch, taking in her stunning pink hair and coldly beautiful face. He suddenly whistled, "Damn, the Navy's got some real quality beauties. Had I known earlier, I would've joined up!"
A pink-haired beauty with this kind of aura—what normal man could resist?
"Hina miscalculated!" Hina's face darkened instantly.
No sooner had she spoken than she felt a sharp tug on her shoulder, her entire body pulled backward uncontrollably. The moment Bahr withdrew his sword, his hand shot out like lightning, seizing her shoulder and twisting her wrist in one fluid motion.
He pressed his chin heavily against Hina's shoulder, teasing, "Now, now, beautiful Captain. Hostages don't get to throw tantrums. Just be a good human shield for a while."
This wasn't just taking advantage—"Black Cage Tina" was no delicate damsel. If she fought back recklessly, accidents could happen. Best to keep her close and under control.
Hina was forced to tilt her head back, her already tense body stiffening further. The warm breath against the sensitive side of her neck made her temples throb as she ground out through clenched teeth, "Stop pointing at me. Hina is very uncomfortable."
"..."
I already sheathed my sword!
"What do you want?" Aokiji's pupils contracted slightly, the chill around him intensifying.
Bahr lifted his gaze lazily, a triumphant smirk curling at his lips as he twirled a strand of Hina's pink hair around his finger. "Simple. Let us sail away."
"No way!"
Before the Cipher Pol agent who'd rushed out from the corner could finish speaking, a spatial rift silently tore through the air, slicing precisely across his throat. The man's eyes bulged as gurgling sounds escaped his throat, hands clutching at the gushing wound before he collapsed face-first onto the ground.
"Annoying," Bahr muttered with disgust. His goal was a safe escape—no way he'd let CP spout dangerous nonsense.
"Such a beauty..." Seeing Aokiji's hesitation, Bahr's eyelid twitched. Deliberately, he let his hand slide slowly down Hina's swan-like neck, feeling the frantic pulse beneath his palm as he teased, "My, my, quite the figure. What a shame it'd be if something happened to it."
Hina stiffened like a statue, veins bulging in her neck as she nearly bit through her lower lip, her face flushed crimson with rage. "Hina feels humiliated!"
"Can't handle a little stimulation?" Bahr's lips curled into a mischievous smirk as he deliberately increased the pressure of his grip. "The best is yet to come."
Though his tone was firm, inwardly he marveled—as expected of a popular character, combining both strength and beauty. Her figure and aura were truly something!
Might as well... play the villain to the end?
"Miss Hina..."
Tashigi stared wide-eyed at the scene, her cheeks flushed with a mix of anger and anxiety. Smoker's expression was so dark it could drip ink.
Other marines began clamoring too, some even raising their guns toward Miss Valentine and the others, threatening, "Release Captain Hina now, or we'll make your companions pay!"
Honestly, it was fortunate these were marines. If this were tit-for-tat, Bahr had one hostage while they could target three of his people—and with their numbers... the thought was terrifying!
Bahr shot them a sidelong glance and flicked his fingers. To the marines' shock, Miss Valentine and the others, previously restrained, were suddenly transported to his side one by one.
With a soft snick, a Dimensional Slash cleanly severed the black metal rings binding Nico Robin, freeing her instantly. Her racing heart finally settled back into place.
"Well, Admiral Aokiji?"
Bahr met Aokiji's gaze head-on, smiling as he spoke. "Give us a straight answer—let us leave, or keep fighting... But let me warn you, next time, I won't hold back."
He knew full well Aokiji hadn't gone all out—just as he hadn't. In an all-out battle, while he might not necessarily defeat an admiral, he could at least ensure none of the other marines present escaped unscathed.
"You may go." Aokiji's voice sounded like it had been dredged from an ice cavern, each word dripping with frost.
Hearing this, Bahr inwardly sighed in relief. Tipping his head toward Daz Bones, he said, "You all board any ship and set sail first. I'll catch up soon."
He had no desire to fight an admiral to the death—the pressure was just too immense!
Daz Bones didn't waste words, immediately leading the group toward the harbor. With Aokiji having granted permission, the marines didn't interfere, allowing them to board a ship and sail out of port unhindered.
By now, Hina's face was crimson with fury, her teeth clenched so hard they nearly cracked. "Have you had your fill of this farce? Hina is furious!"
This bastard's hands hadn't stayed still for a second. Enduring this humiliation, she was nearing her breaking point.
"No rush." Bahr lifted his gaze lazily, catching sight of the ship's silhouette gradually drifting away in the distance. A smirk played at his lips as he said, "Let the ship drift a bit first. Otherwise, you might regret letting us go."
"Then get your hands off me now!" Hina bit her lip, her voice muffled as her body trembled uncontrollably, a sheen of sweat breaking out on her forehead. "Hina... is very uncomfortable!"
Bahr slowly leaned in close to Hina's ear, deliberately exhaling a warm breath as he grinned. "Your discomfort is yours to bear. As long as I'm comfortable, that's what matters. Just endure it a little longer."
A rare chance to take advantage—only a fool would let go now!
Hina's nails dug deep into her palms, waves of humiliation crashing over her. She could feel the vibrations of the man's chest against her back, yet had no room to struggle, forced to endure his revolting grip.
"Tsk...!"
Smoker transformed into white smoke, circling behind Bahr as his jutte weapon whistled through the air toward Bahr's back—only to spark violently as it struck an invisible barrier twenty centimeters away.
Without even turning his head, Bahr's Haki-clad foot slammed into Smoker's chest, sending him flying backward until his body smashed through three brick walls before finally stopping in the rubble.
"Captain Smoker!" Tashigi cried out, rushing forward.
Amid the swirling dust, Smoker pushed himself up with his jutte, swallowing the metallic taste in his throat as his gaze locked onto Bahr. His voice was low and grim. "Seems there's some kind of barrier in the air... must be his ability."
