"Nose Fancy Cannon!"
Mr. 5 casually flicked his fingertip against his nose with one hand in his pocket, launching a shockwave that sent over a dozen soldiers flying with a deafening explosion.
Paula's thorn-covered fingers extended like vipers as she twisted her way through the naval ranks. Wherever her arms swept, barbs sank into flesh, eliciting screams of agony.
"Hook Claw."
Nico Robin crossed her arms over her chest, and suddenly, multiple arms sprouted from the shoulders of several marines, gripping their necks with a vicious twist. A sickening crack echoed as their necks bent at unnatural angles, bodies collapsing to the ground.
"Ahahahaha!" Miss. Valentine unfurled her parasol, riding the explosive shockwaves as she floated effortlessly into the air with her Weight-Weight Fruit ability. Her skirt flared dramatically as she sneered, "Don't underestimate us, Marines!"
No sooner had she spoken than a tendril of smoke lashed out like a serpent, coiling around her body before she could react. She shrieked, "What the hell is this?!"
Clang-clang-clang—
Daz Bones' arms morphed into blades, deflecting every incoming bullet before he lunged forward, slashing through the marines who had fired at him.
"Daz Bones, the assassin from the West Blue—I arrest you in the name of the Marines!" Tashigi charged forward, wielding Autumn Rain.
Daz Bones didn't even glance at her, casually deflecting her slash before delivering a ruthless downward strike aimed at her skull.
Clang—
Smoker's jutte intercepted the attack just in time, white smoke billowing behind him.
"Fall back, Tashigi," Smoker rasped, his voice rough from years of smoking. "This is beyond you."
Daz Bones raised an eyebrow before suddenly twisting his blade, forcing the jutte aside. His other arm transformed into a blade, sweeping horizontally—only for Smoker to dissolve into smoke. A shadow darted behind Daz Bones, and a Sea Stone-coated jutte smashed into his wrist with pinpoint precision.
"Guh—!"
Daz Bones' strength drained instantly, his blade form dissipating as he dropped to his knees. Gritting his teeth, he glared at the tip of Smoker's jutte. "Sea Stone...!"
Nico Robin's gaze swept across the battlefield—Bahr and Aokiji locked in combat, Miss. Valentine struggling uselessly against smoke bindings, Daz Bones immobilized by Smoker's jutte.
Her pupils contracted sharply, her heart seized by an invisible grip. Instinctively, she staggered back a step before turning and sprinting away.
But a flash of rose-red streaked past like a ghost, impossibly fast. Hina's arm pierced through Robin's body, and in an instant, cold black shackles clamped around her. Robin lost her balance, crashing hard onto the bloodstained rubble.
"Demon Child—Nico Robin, you're under arrest." Hina looked down at her, expression unreadable.
Damn it... Robin lay sprawled on the ground, eyes burning with despair and frustration. Twenty years of running, countless narrow escapes from death—and yet, she had still fallen into the Marines' grasp.
Hina spared Robin no further glance, turning instead to the remaining Mr. 5 with a cold smirk.
"Jacket Feather Cage!"
Her arms spread wide, and iron bars shot out like living things, weaving into an impenetrable cage that ensnared Mr. 5 in an instant.
And with that... the last remnants of Baroque Works were annihilated.
Meanwhile, Bahr's blade glowed with a dark purple aura as it sliced toward Aokiji's face, the air shrieking under its pressure.
Aokiji leaned back lazily, the razor-sharp edge grazing just past his nose.
"Yare yare, that was close!" His tone was casual, but his eyes glinted with frost.
Before he could straighten, his coiled posture suddenly uncoiled—his ice-encased heel lashing out like a frozen spear, carrying a bone-chilling gust. The very air seemed to crystallize in its wake.
Bahr's figure blurred, leaving an afterimage as he reappeared behind Aokiji in an instant, his dark purple blade descending once more with a vicious slash.
Aokiji twisted mid-motion, his own Ice Blade materializing in his grip, now coated in black Haki. The two weapons collided with a deafening clang!, sparks exploding like fireworks as they locked in place.
Bahr grinned. "Not bad for an Admiral. Didn't know you could swing a sword."
Aokiji had never showcased his swordsmanship, but as a veteran Admiral, his skills were nothing to scoff at.
"Yare yare, you're not bad yourself, kid. Impressive strength for someone so young." Aokiji's eyes crinkled, steam rising from his Ice Blade as he exuded a lazy yet oppressive aura.
Kid? Bahr hated being called that.
With a snarl, he twisted his wrist sharply, leveraging the motion to knock Aokiji's blade aside. In that split second, his Haki erupted—dark purple veins writhing across his sword before he brought it down with devastating force. The blade cleaved through Aokiji's body in a flash of cold steel.
"Ice Age."
Aokiji's bisected form crackled as ice rapidly sealed the wound. His arms spread wide, and a blizzard surged forward.
Bahr's pupils shrank as the freezing air rushed at him. He vanished, reappearing a dozen paces away, scowling. "I don't make a habit of letting men hug me."
Aokiji adjusted his grip on his Ice Blade, still sounding half-asleep. "That ability of yours is pretty handy, kid."
"Damn right. Don't underestimate me." Bahr tilted his chin up, arrogance written across his sharp features. He gave his blade a flick, the steel humming ominously.
Then—his instincts screamed.
Something was wrong.
A creeping numbness spread through his arm. Only now did he realize—his sword hand had stiffened, joints moving with unnatural resistance.
"Yare yare, figured it out, huh?" Aokiji drawled. "Cold seeps in everywhere."
Bahr's eye twitched. This bastard... During their fierce exchange, Aokiji's frigid aura had been silently infiltrating his body.
No wonder this guy was a veteran Admiral—his strength wasn't just for show.
Bahr knew full well Aokiji wasn't even going all out. If this dragged on, he'd be the one at a disadvantage. He needed to retreat—fast.
A glance toward the docks confirmed his suspicions—Daz Bones and the others had already been subdued. He wasn't surprised. Smoker and Hina were elite Marine officers. Baroque Works' agents were strong, but not that strong.
"Yare yare, don't get distracted, kid." Aokiji materialized beside him, Ice Blade descending toward his skull.
Bahr didn't dodge. Instead, his lips curled into a smirk as his finger twitched. The air rippled strangely—
—and in the next instant, Hina, who had been standing calmly with her cigarette, suddenly found herself teleported right between Aokiji and Bahr.
Aokiji's reflexes kicked in, halting his blade a hair's breadth from Hina's forehead. Ice shards sprayed as she instinctively shut her eyes. When she reopened them, she felt the sharp edge of a blade pressing against her back.
Her pupils contracted, shock flickering across her face before she schooled her expression. What kind of ability is this...?
"Admiral Aokiji," Bahr taunted, voice dripping with mischief. "How about we skewer this beauty from both sides, huh?"
