Chapter 8 - Chapter 08

Hello! 🥰🥹 I've brought a new chapter 😅✌️ Even though I'm exhausted, I tried my absolute best to finish it 🥲💪

Novel: Should I Fight My Husband or the Black Tumor?

Genre: Light Action, Romance, Drama

Chapter 15: In the Name of God ❤️ Let's Begin! 💕🥹

[Secret Command Room – Holographic screens display live footage of the coastal city, where black vortices of "The Wusoom" devour buildings. Atheer stands before a massive map, connecting red dots with a crimson thread.]

X: (Suddenly emerges from a creeping shadow on the floor; his black cloak breathes like a living creature)

"What's with this tense atmosphere? Did the war start without informing me?"

Atheer: (Doesn't turn around; his hands press so hard on the metal table it bends)

"Attack on the coastal city… The Black Wusoom will move three times faster due to atmospheric pressure." [Finally turns; his blue eyes glow like a dying star]

"You… complete your mission in the eastern sector. As for me—"

X: (Interrupts sarcastically)

"Aren't you taking your deputy? Clara could be useful."

Atheer: (Grabs a metal pen and crushes it between his fingers)

"She made a mistake… and is now under punishment." [He heads toward the door] "Goodbye, X… We'll meet again at the breaking point."

X: (Reaches out to stop him)

"I'm coming with you. The city needs every hand."

Atheer: (Shoves him away)

"Everyone has their role. Your next mission will make this battle look like child's play." [Softens his tone] "Rest… You, too, need to return whole."

[A heavy silence. X stares at Atheer's retreating back, then suddenly laughs.]

X: (Whispers to himself)

"Alright… I hope they won't need my extra support." [Turns toward the screens] "Because if they do… it'll already be too late."

[The car screeches to a sudden halt on the edge of an abandoned road. Sajjad glances behind him—his yellow eyes glow in the darkness like those of a pair of predatory cats. Nazar presses his nose against the window, while Riman freezes in her seat, her red eyes wide with fear.]

Sajjad: (Voice low, like a car engine's growl)

"Nazar… stay with Riman. Don't move."

Riman: (Gasping for breath)

"Can… can we hide somewhere else?"

[He falls silent, then—]

Sajjad: (Lets out a dry laugh)

"How can such a pitiful girl possibly lead the Carlos Organization that eradicates the Black Tumor?" [To himself]

Riman: "Shadows are approaching…"

[Nazar moves closer and gently touches her shoulder.]

Nazar: "You see them too?"

[Riman points fearfully toward the shadows outside the car.]

Riman: "I mean… behind them. That black shadow moving like smoke."

[Sajjad freezes. Slowly, he turns his head toward her.]

Sajjad: (In a completely different tone)

"Really? You see them?"

Riman: (Nods, her white hair swaying)

"Yes… They're attacking humans, aren't they?"

Nazar: (Jumps in his seat as if playing a game)

"I see them too!"

"My brother Sajjad does as well!"

[Fox leaps onto Riman's lap, his red eyes wide with astonishment.]

Fox: "We both see them… Why are you surprised? Don't you see them?"

[A heavy silence. Sajjad stares at Riman as if seeing her for the first time. Inside him, a storm of questions swirls.]

Sajjad: (To himself)

"This isn't ordinary power—that's why Grandfather chose her… But it doesn't matter now. 'Winning is what counts.'" [With defiant eyes]

[Edge of the Forbidden City – where even the air bleeds black poison]

Sajjad steps across the "border barrier" as if tearing an invisible curtain with his right hand. A sound like shattering glass shakes the earth—then…

Darkness swallows everything.

Suddenly, Sajjad vanishes like a ghost. The wind carries only the echo of his final whisper:

"Don't follow me."

Inside the Infected City – where silence is more dangerous than screams

[Sajjad moves like a hurricane]

Black shadows rush at him from every angle, but…

– His knife slices them before they touch him; their bodies evaporate like steam on fire.

– One tries to hide behind a wall—he crushes it with a shoulder strike, and the wall collapses like cardboard.

The Mutants (humans grotesquely deformed by the Black Tumor) leap from rooftops:

– The first dives from five stories high; Sajjad kicks him mid-air before contact, and the body explodes like a blood balloon.

– The second tries to bite his leg.

Sajjad: (Sarcastically) "I thought you'd be stronger. What's this boredom?"

His fingers plunge into the mutant's eyes and burst out the back of its skull.

His eyes flash: "I'll finish you all with one strike."

– He leaps onto a smokestack, then runs vertically up the wall.

– From the top, he dives like lightning onto the last group; his arms spin like fan blades, slicing bodies to pieces before they can scream.

[The ground is now a circle of death—everything inside it… evaporated corpses.]

In the Secret Hideout – where Nazar and Riman watch

[Nazar drags Riman through a narrow tunnel; a faint blue light glows from his palm.]

Fox mutters: "Nazar, you're dangerous! How did you move us that fast?"

Nazar grins excitedly: "It's my talent—Mushira!" 👍

Fox, flustered: "Your talent's gonna get us into trouble… you little brat." [To himself]

Riman: (Panting)

"Where are we? Sajjad told us not to—"

Nazar: (Cuts her off with a manic smile)

"Doesn't matter! Look!" [Points to a hole in the ground]

[Sajjad stands in the center of the dead zone. He suddenly lifts his head—as if sensing they're watching—but also notices Carlos Organization and Atheer entering!]

Sajjad, seriously: "Since they're here, I'll leave them the surface area and focus on the underground."

He throws himself off the building he's standing on, lands on his back, then hurls an iron rod at them—one after another, tearing them apart.

Riman: (Covers her mouth)

"He… knows we're here."

Nazar: (Eyes sparkling)

"Of course he knows! That's what makes him awesome! Let's play with him!"

[Suddenly, Sajjad's shadow appears behind them in the tunnel!]

[Underground Sewer Pipes – the stench of mold and humidity chokes the air. Sajjad stands between Nazar/Riman and the dark tunnel from which terrifying scratching sounds rise.]

Sajjad: (Veins bulging on his forehead)

"What are you two doing here?! Didn't I order you not to leave the car?!"

Nazar: (Takes a step back but stands in front of Riman)

"Brother… I—"

[A muffled scream shakes the walls—as if from a distant hell. Riman freezes.]

Riman: (Voice trembling)

"What… what is that sound?!"

Fox: (Anxious)

"Stop! Don't move!"

[To himself: "If something happens to me…"]

Sajjad: (Crushes a stone underfoot into dust)

"They're beneath the sewage pipes. It's fine… I'll handle them!" [Points to the ground]

He keeps staring downward: "These things burrow deep like worms… They seem like second-tier mutants… I haven't seen their kind in three years."

[To himself: "I should take them with me." He sighs irritably.]

"Nazar can't teleport again."

Nazar: (Shouts suddenly)

"I won't go! I don't want to stay here!"

Sajjad: (Grips his brother's shoulder so hard he cries out)

"Calm down. You'll stay… but you must defend yourself." [Shoves him toward Riman]

"Use your power… If you must… follow me."

[Riman pulls Nazar back, but Fox leaps off her shoulder.]

Fox:

"I want to run away too, you know!"

Sajjad: (Laughs a sharp, broken laugh)

"Fine… I didn't force you to stay. If you're brave, go face them upstairs yourself."

Fox: (Freezes)

"What?!"

[The ground suddenly explodes! Gelatinous black creatures crawl from the cracks, their bodies forming like shadows. Sajjad dashes like lightning—his knife slices the first two… but the third escapes and crushes them in an instant—when suddenly—]

!SUDDEN EXPLOSION!

[The earth collapses and the entire area trembles—creatures and city crushed completely! An even stronger barrier forms, and state soldiers are torn apart without exception.]

Atheer, shocked: "Impossible! Everyone who entered is dead!"

He's covered in wounds from within the earth—the ground has folded into itself.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

[Amidst the ruins of the coastal city—the earth splits like a deep wound, buildings crumble like wet paper. Atheer stands alone in a cloud of dust and blood, his eyes blazing like lightning in a storm. His body is covered in wounds, but his eyes… still glow like two embers in the ashes.]

Atheer: (Staring at his men's corpses under the rubble, his fist trembling)

"Losses… acceptable." [But his voice breaks.]

[Suddenly—engine noises! Armored vehicles storm the area. Men in black uniforms bearing the state insignia steal barrels of "Al-Hashim" and pieces of mutant corpses.]

Atheer: (Steps forward; his blood drips onto the ground, melting the stones)

"My soldiers… are dying, while you live and are glorified by the people?"

[The squad leader confidently raises his weapon.]

Leader: "We succeeded… Let's go back—"

[Before he finishes, Atheer's sword flashes—his head falls before his eyes can close. The other bodies follow within a single second.]

Atheer: (Leans heavily on his sword, breathing with difficulty)

"This is what you deserve… I won't let you live off the ashes of my soldiers." [Looks toward the horizon]

"Sorry… for using you. This is all I can do." (His eyes are sorrowful.)

[He walks away, dragging his feet as if carrying mountains… behind him…]

[Battlefield – thick black fog chokes the air; moving shadows emerge from the walls like ghoulish hands. Atheer stands at the center, his metallic gauntlets glowing with an otherworldly blue light. Each finger holds a blade as thin as shark teeth.]

– Atheer suddenly bends; a black shadow pierces the air where his head was a second earlier.

– His left gauntlet snaps like a crocodile's jaw, tearing the shadow in half… its body shatters like broken glass before hitting the ground.

– Three mutants leap from the ceiling.

– His right gauntlet slices the air with a terrifying whistle; blue lines appear in the void… bodies fall in perfect cubes, like fruit cut by a master chef's knife.

– The largest mutant (tank-sized, misshapen, worse than the others) lunges at him—its mouth opens to reveal teeth forged from human screams.

– Atheer leaps high; his gauntlets morph into a blue arrowhead… he dives from above, piercing the mutant from head to toe… it splits like bamboo under gravity's own force!

[He collapses to his knees, breathing heavily. Around him, he clutches his chest. Mutant fragments evaporate like snow on flame; shadows vanish. His gauntlets stop glowing… but his eyes still burn like two embers in a grave's darkness.]

Riman opens her eyes to see a black sky revealed after Sajjad tore through the sewer's concrete ceiling (or perhaps the "concrete roof")—the part that was about to collapse on them. Now they're under a hole resembling a dark sky.

– Nazar: (Awestruck) "Amazing, brother! How did you do that? You shredded it in seconds with insane speed!"

– Sajjad: "Come on, follow me! There seems to be a hole we can cross through."

Sajjad:

[Inside, he thinks: "This earthquake isn't natural… My suspicion was right." Then he notices the mutants' corpses reverting to human form—making Riman feel sorrow.]

She sits on her knees, watching them, her eyes filled with sadness.

Fox: (Urgently) "Let's go! That guy doesn't care about us!"

– Riman: (Hesitantly) "Okay… I'm coming…" [She gets up.]

They enter through ground fissures downward on the far side—a narrow passage between cracked walls, barely wide enough for one person, leading to what appears to be an abandoned hall, once part of underground tunnels. The air is thick with foul humidity, and their rapid breathing mixes with a distant, indistinct roar.

– Sajjad (walks quickly, utterly indifferent)

Nazar: (Enthusiastically, turning to Riman)

"I'll protect you… come on!"

– Riman (Looks down, her feet frozen in fear, but tries to hide it):

"Okay… okay…" (Voice trembling)

– Fox (Interrupts with his usual rudeness, flying ahead of the wall sarcastically):

"Protect yourself first, hero!"

– Nazar: (Annoyed, pouting)

"And what's your problem?!"

– Sajjad (Suddenly appears from the narrow passage, under dim light):

"Come on! Hurry up… let's go in!"

– Sajjad lowers Nazar first, but Riman can't due to the height.

– Sajjad (Indifferently):

"Jump! It's not a big deal."

– Fox (Shouts mockingly):

"Where's she supposed to jump?! Can't you see she's a woman?!"

[Sajjad grabs her clothes from behind like a bag and jumps down with her.]

As Sajjad tosses her aside like a burden:

"Annoying…" (Then walks away without a glance.)

Riman walks silently, smiling softly, trying to playfully tease Nazar.

– Fox (Muttering to himself as he follows, surprised):

"I didn't expect he'd have a bit of mercy…"

Sajjad stops walking—and they find the large hall. Their blood runs cold.

– The walls are covered in deep claw marks; the floor is slick with dark "Al-Hashim" fluid.

– In the corners, dozens—no, thousands—of mutants, nearly indistinguishable from humans, coil around decomposing corpses as if waiting.

– Riman (Covers her mouth):

"What… what are these things…?"

– Sajjad (Quickly draws his weapon, eyes blazing with bloodthirsty excitement):

"Looks like we're gonna have some fun!"

The black creatures resemble humans but are more evolved—and far more terrifying. Their eyes glow with a faint red light, and sharp, organic sword-like protrusions grow from their bodies. They move with unnatural speed, as if knowing every corner of this place.

– Nazar (Grips his weapon tightly, voice mixing excitement and fear):

"Brother… should I fight?!"

– Sajjad: (Looks at him sternly):

"Stay here! If anything happens… run like I taught you!"

– Riman (Tries to be logical, but her voice trembles):

"But there are so many! At least let us—"

– Sajjad (Cuts her off with a killer glare, voice like a blade):

"Didn't I tell you not to get in my way?!"

Suddenly, Sajjad launches like lightning—no, faster than lightning!

– First strike: He pulls out an iron rod from his hand, and in the other, a large modified pistol—and begins fighting.

– He spins like a tornado; the iron rod tears through air before shredding mutant bodies.

– He fires a black beam with deadly precision; each bullet pierces a skull or a black heart.

– He kicks one—it crashes into the wall and explodes like an acid-filled balloon.

Black creatures fall in pieces; some try to rise, but Sajjad stomps their heads like empty cans.

– Sajjad (Laughs maniacally, black blood covering his face):

"Is this all you've got?! I thought you were second-tier mutants!"

– Nazar (Cheers excitedly, jumping in place like at a sports match):

"Brother! Brother! Crush them! Go!"

– Fox (Watches from afar, eyes wide with reluctant admiration):

"The guy's insane… but he's good!"

– Riman (Clasps her hands, feeling helpless, but her eyes never leave Sajjad):

"God… what must I do to become better…?" (A faint whisper.)

– The last creatures attempt a group attack, but Sajjad leaps high, then crashes down on them like a meteor—the iron rod splits the earth before slicing through them.

– Black corpses scatter; sudden silence falls.

Suddenly, the black creatures stop attacking—as if receiving a hidden command. They begin retreating at unnatural speed, crawling into shadows, vanishing into cracks as if the earth swallows them.

– Sajjad (Surprised, eyes narrowing as he grips the iron rod tightly):

"Wait… where are they retreating to?!"

– Nazar (Hesitates):

"Did they run away? But… why?"

– Riman (Feels a chill down her spine, notices something in the dark corner):

"Look… over there!"

The Cannibal Beast:

From the darkness, a massive creature crawls out—unlike the others.

– Appearance: Three times larger, with multiple arms ending in serrated claws, and a mouth shaped like a circular drill of sharp teeth.

– Movement: Deliberately slow, as if knowing there's no need to rush. Then… it grabs one fleeing black creature and crunches its head in a single bite! It begins attacking its own kind.

– Fox (Takes a step back, uncharacteristically shaken):

"What the hell is that thing?!"

– Sajjad (Laughs a muffled, bitterly sarcastic laugh):

"Seriously?! Has the countdown begun now?!"
