Chapter 9 - Chapter 09

Assalamu alaykum ❤️❤️ My dears, today we have a thrilling new chapter! 👍💕💕 I hope you enjoy it! 😘😘

Novel: Should I Fight My Husband or the Black Tumor?

Genre: Romantic Action, Drama

Chapter 17: Bismillah ❤️❤️ Let's begin! 💕💕

[The abandoned hall – the air is saturated with the foul stench of decay. The headless creature devours its transformed companions ravenously, its circular teeth grinding bones like minced meat. Sajjad stands as a barrier between it and Nazar and Reemam, his yellow eyes glowing in the darkness like warning lights.]

Sajjad: (in a low voice that shakes the walls)

"Nazar... take the girl! Going down now is suicide." [Internally: "The stench here will turn them into mutants in minutes!"]

[The monster lifts its predatory "face" (despite having no eyes or nose), its organic tendrils trembling like radar beams... then it lunges!]

[At the heart of the ruins – the air vibrates with strange frequencies. The black creature suddenly begins to convulse; its skin cracks like the shell of a boiled egg, and thick black fog erupts from its body like living pillars of smoke. The fog completely blocks vision, yet Sajjad's yellow eyes cut through it like twin knives in pitch-black night.]

Sajjad: (slowly pulling off his iron glove)

"Looks like I'll finally fight something worth... taking seriously."

- Sajjad vanishes from his spot, reappearing behind the creature at lightning speed.

- His glove pierces the monster's back... but the wound instantly heals!

- The creature slowly turns in a terrifying manner, its circular mouth opening to reveal rotating teeth like a meat grinder!

- The creature spews black liquid; Sajjad dodges, but a single drop touches his arm...

- Immediate numbness! His right arm spasms, and his dagger slips from his fingers!

- Sajjad: "Disgusting... a paralyzing agent? Since when did you become smart?!"

- Sajjad bites his tongue until it bleeds—pain dispelling the numbness.

- He kicks the ground hard, launching himself like a missile, shattering three of the creature's teeth with his fist!

- The creature roars; its body swells like a balloon filled with poison, doubling in size!

- Its rotating teeth accelerate into a metallic tornado, sucking in the surrounding air!

- Sajjad: "All I have left to amuse me are insects like you!"

1. Sajjad leaps over the creature, wrapping himself around its nonexistent neck (since it has no head!).

2. He plunges his dagger into the "false heart" (a white spot behind its mouth).

3. The creature explodes like a bomb—Sajjad covers his face with his arm, but the black fog swallows him whole!

- When the fog clears... Sajjad stands amid a pool of darkness.

- His body is covered in black shards, yet he laughs:

 "Is this all you've got?!"

"Don't worry—I'm coming for you." (smiling with a killer grin)

[At the edge of the ruins – Reemam collapses onto her knees, her breaths ragged like a prisoner in a gas chamber. Fox tries to support her while Nazar stares at Sajjad, who stands in the middle of a lake of black entrails.]

Reemam: (clutching Fox's arm, tears streaming from her eyes due to pain and the caustic stench)

"Put me down... please! Don't leave him—" [on the verge of breaking down]

Fox: (gently lowering her, his voice unusually shaken for the first time)

"Look! It's over... he tore it apart!"

[Reemam lifts her head... and sees:]

- The creature's corpse scattered like shattered pottery, but among it... human remains.

- A petrified child's hand emerges from the black flesh, still clutching a small doll.

Reemam: (screaming with a voice that shakes the ruins)

"No... no! There was a child inside it!!" [angrily]

"He attacked it! How could you let him kill a child?!"

Fox: (gently holding her back, his red eyes glowing with confusion)

"Reemam... calm down!"

[Sajjad approaches; his shadow engulfs them. The monster's blood still drips from his weapon.]

Sajjad: (voice like ice)

"Didn't I tell you not to come down? The air was saturated with this mutant's stench." [gesturing toward the creature]

Reemam: (shaking her head wildly, her white hair sticking to her tears)

"Liar! You're a monster... heartless!" [pointing at Sajjad]

"A child spoke to me... Impossible for me to trust someone like you... you're a murderer..."

[Silence. Then...]

[In the shadow of the smoldering ruins – Reemam trembles on the ground, black blood oozing from the corners of her mouth. Sajjad stands before her like a harsh shadow, while Fox shields her with his small body like a confused guardian.]

Sajjad: (voice like cold iron)

"Fine, I get it... you believed the illusion." [He pulls a piece of black flesh from the creature's corpse.]

"Open your mouth." [He yanks her by the hair and throws her to the ground.]

Reemam: (pushing herself backward, her eyes burning with terror)

"Impossible! I won't eat a corpse—"

[Before she can finish, Sajjad grabs her hair even harder and forces her to look at him. His yellow eyes know no mercy.]

Sajjad: "I don't have time for your foolish arguments." [He forces the black piece of flesh into her mouth, clamping her jaw shut with his hand until she swallows.]

Reemam: (choking, tears streaming, then beginning to vomit blood after swallowing)

Fox: (lunging at Sajjad like lightning)

"What did you do to her, you—?!"

Sajjad: (wiping his hands of the monster's blood)

"This is the only cure... she'll recover within an hour." [Eyes closed, utterly indifferent.]

"Let's go... ."

[Fox lifts Reemam onto his back; his blue blood glows beneath her skin.]

Nazar: (voice nearly breaking)

"Come on... let's leave."

[They vanish into the fog, while Sajjad remains standing.]

As they exit the tunnels, screams suddenly erupt in the street. A young woman runs frantically toward her little son, eyes wide with terror, followed by some people trying to stop her. Suddenly...

- A little boy, no older than ten, steps out with a completely expressionless face.

His mother hugs him fearfully: "My dear son, I never expected you were alive! Come, let's go—"

- In the blink of an eye, he grabs her head with his tiny arms, unnaturally unhinging his jaws (wider than humanly possible), then bites her neck violently! Blood erupts like a fountain, and her body drops like a broken doll.

- Sajjad (watching the scene coldly, then turning to Nazar and Reemam):

"It seems she inhaled just a 'little' of the mutants' scent... what happened to her is exactly what happened to Reemam."

- Fox (turning pale): "What do you mean?!" "You mean she could've..."

- Sajjad (nods, then mutters to himself):

"This phenomenon always repeats itself when there's no surveillance... Those near the area smell the scent, even in tiny amounts... then they're lured inward by illusions of their loved ones, making them easy prey for the mutants."

"But how is she still alive... after inhaling a larger dose than them?" (He pauses, staring at her with deep suspicion.)

"This girl is strange... but 'The Organization' won't tolerate her naivety."

The police cars stop; officers step out... but their eyes are yellow, and their mouths slowly tear through their face masks, revealing sharp teeth.

- Fox (shaking his head): "Their end is just like that woman's... even the police have become one of them!"

[Fox carries Reemam sadly and follows Sajjad.]

[Outside the ruins – harsh daylight shatters across the onlookers' faces. Atheer stands a few meters away, his blue cloak fluttering like the wing of a wounded bird. Reporters swarm toward Sajjad like flies, while Reemam leans on Fox, her eyes still clouded with shock.]

Reemam: (collapses onto her knees)

- Fox tries to carry her, but she pushes him away: "No... I can walk by myself now."

Nazar: "Are you okay?"

- Nazar rushes to her, and she replies: "Yes! Don't worry."

- Sajjad doesn't even glance her way—as if she were a ghost.

Sajjad's and Atheer's eyes meet, shifting the atmosphere—suddenly reporters try to grab Sajjad, and he shouts at them:

"Leave me alone! Don't bother me!"

The bold reporter: (gripping his microphone like a sword)

"You seem just like your traitorous father in your arrogance!" [sarcastically]

[A deadly silence... then...]

Sajjad: (grabs the reporter's neck with one hand, lifting him off the ground like a stuffed doll)

"Arrogance? Maybe." [His voice like a wounded lion's roar.]

"But people like you don't count. Where were you when that woman was being killed by her own son right before your eyes?" [He jerks his thumb toward the ruins.]

"All you care about is the mayor escaping unharmed... and yet you dare call me arrogant?"

[He throws him to the ground; the camera shatters like an empty skull.]

Someone yells: "He's threatening freedom of speech!"

- Sajjad suddenly turns: "Freedom of speech? Try freedom of death!"

Sajjad: (to everyone)

"This is my final warning: I don't want any unnecessary rumors spreading that anger me or get in my way." [His eyes flash.]

"And I'll cut off your heads as a tribute to the victims."

[Atheer smiles from afar, whispering to his guards:]

"Take the reporters to jail and confiscate their equipment—we don't want any leaks... and besides, he won't tolerate them much longer..."

The car suddenly stops in a narrow, dark alley, its walls covered in strange graffiti and reeking of old decay and fire.

- Reemam is violently yanked from the car, her leg slamming into the door.

 - "Where are you taking us?!" she cries, her trembling voice tearing through the alley's dreadful silence.

- Nazar remains asleep in the back seat, his body slumped motionless.

- Sajjad steps out after her, gripping her arm tightly, then smiles—a smile utterly devoid of warmth.

 - "I think I've been far too kind to you all until now... but I don't have time."

- Suddenly, he pulls out his gun and fires a single shot, hitting her shoulder! Blood seeps between her fingers.

- She tries to endure the pain, but her eyes lock onto Sajjad in disbelief.

- "Why...?!" Her whisper breaks as she clutches her wounded shoulder.

Fox:

- Lunges like a wild animal, placing himself between her and Sajjad, growling furiously.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

While Reemam writhes in pain from her shoulder, clutching the wounded spot and sweating heavily,

Reemam: "Do you want to kill me...?" (in panic and fear)

Sajjad: "Iridis..." (his expression utterly blank)

Then he lifts his gaze toward the sky.

Suddenly, a metallic buzzing fills the air. An armed drone emerges from between the clouds, followed by two more, targeting the building across the alley—each loaded with missiles, specifically.

- Sajjad (watching them with disdain, then whispering a mysterious word):

"They bring this rusted block for execution... what trash they are..."

The air is saturated with the smell of gunpowder and burnt flesh. The alley walls are riddled with bullet holes, and severed electrical wires spit sparks like angry snakes. Around the alley, many buildings lie destroyed by drones, with human blood and body parts scattered on the ground.

- He lunges like lightning, shattering the drones one after another in small explosions.

- The drones (100 black falcon-sized drones, armed with explosives) hover above him like corpse-flies.

- Sajjad stands motionless in front of an empty building... until the first one fires its bullets!

- At the very last moment—just as they're about to launch their shoulder-fired missiles—his body vanishes from the spot. The missiles obliterate the empty space behind him instead.

Then, in an instant, he reappears and detonates all the drones—everything in that place is utterly crushed: cars, drones, everything erased the moment he passes through.

- "You dare challenge me?!" (He laughs a cold laugh.)

- "You should've been better than this!"

The smoky alley falls into a heavy silence after the battle, as Sajjad stands amid the wreckage, his yellow eyes still glowing with an eerie light.

Suddenly, the door bursts open from the inside, and a man steps out—his hair blazing orange like glowing fire, slightly tousled as if burning from within, falling over his forehead in unruly strands.

- Eyes the color of honey, yet burning with a suspicious spark (they turn deep crimson when he's angry).

- Stylishly torn clothes: a black sleeveless jacket over a gray shirt stained with dried blood. His name is Rif. He shouts to the people hiding:

"Come out now! Quickly!"

"You're safe..."

- Sajjad (staring at him challengingly):

"Now?! Finally showing up, Rif!"

Then he smirks mockingly:

"I'm not obligated to protect you, you fool."

Rif: "What? I never asked for your help!" (arrogantly)

- Sajjad (glaring at him as if about to devour him with rage)

Rif: "Alright, I get it—I should've followed orders."

"How harsh you are... Where's dull Dreed? I miss him." (He runs his hand through his hair.)

- Sajjad (laughs):

"You can ask him when you return..."

Rif chuckles, and Sajjad continues his question:

"How did you end up in their hands? Didn't I tell you to evacuate the people and run away like always?" [as they walk together toward the car]

- Rif (speaking with suppressed anger):

"Fine... they set a trap for me." (in a cinematic, dramatic tone)

- Sajjad (mockingly):

"Fool!"

They approach to find Reemam sitting on the ground, pressing on her bleeding shoulder wound.

- Sajjad (approaching her coldly):

"Looks like you're feeling better...?"

- Reemam (staring at him with eyes full of betrayal):

"How can I possibly be okay?!"

- Sajjad (ignoring her words, speaking calmly):

"I shot you in the shoulder... but it's just a scratch. You'll heal soon—you won't die." (sarcastically) "How weak you are."

Sajjad steps toward the car Reemam is leaning against, but Fox leaps in front of him, baring sharp fangs, his red eyes glowing like embers in the dark.

- Fox (transforming with a thunderous growl):

"Don't you dare come near her!" (furious)

- Sajjad (stopping, looking at him with contempt):

"Instead of staring at her with the eyes of an orphaned dog, go grab a bandage from the car—and stop braying like a donkey." (He jerks his chin toward the car.)

Rif emerges from the shadows, teasing sarcastically:

"You're way too harsh, Sajjad! Be gentle with women!"

He pulls out a first-aid bandage from the car and adds with a wolfish grin:

"I can dress your wound for you." (cheerfully)

Sajjad yanks him back angrily from behind, while Rif sinks into depression.

"Stay right there, or else..." (like a puppy)

Then Sajjad tosses the bandage toward him:

"Here... you can put it on."

- Fox (angrily):

"I'll treat her myself—I don't need your stuff!"

- Sajjad (coldly):

"Hurry up and treat her... and enough with your idiotic chatter."

Fox freezes as he treats her by licking the wound. "Did you hit your head...? Weren't you trying to kill us?"

But Rif explains with a smile:

"If Sajjad didn't tell you—yes, he's the one who shot her! To spike her heartbeat so the drones would mistake her rapid pulse for theirs. Their sensors get confused—too many fast heartbeats scatter the signal, so they can't distinguish strong from weak... or real from fake!"

He turns to Sajjad: "How tender you've become... Ahaha... Is this all thanks to a girl?" (He fake-cries with sarcasm.)

- Sajjad (shooting him a deadly glare):

"Say another word... and I'll cut out your tongue."

- Rif (raising his hands in surrender, but winking at Reemam):

"Yes, sir!"

Suddenly, a little girl—along with several people who had earlier fled the building (no older than ten)—emerges from the rubble. Her tangled hair is dusty, but her eyes brim with gratitude.

- The girl (approaching Sajjad with strange confidence, then patting his hand):

"Thank you... you saved us."

- Sajjad (staring at her in long, silent pause, then unexpectedly gently patting her head):

"Don't thank anyone... just go."

- Reemam (eyes wide open as if seeing a ghost):

"Seriously?! I expected him to kill her!"

- Fox (shaking his head in disbelief):

"Is this the same person?!"

- Sajjad (turning to them coldly, jerking his chin toward the car):

"Don't gawk like idiots... get in the car."

Rif (laughing a muffled laugh, then whispering):

"Even I didn't expect that... The beginning was entertaining, huh huh!"

- Sajjad (giving him a killer look, then speaking dryly):

"Why are you laughing...?"

Rif swallows hard, and Sajjad continues seriously:

"Tell Dreed to carry out the gang's order..."

- Rif (saluting with his hand, then vanishing into the shadows):

"Got it... goodbye."

Fox (surprised):

"Nazar still hasn't woken up... all this action and he's still asleep...?"

When they arrive at the ancient palace—surrounded by black, tangled trees like ghostly arms—Nazar suddenly jolts awake from his slumber, his eyes shimmering with a strange light.

- Nazar (staring at Sajjad with a look no one has ever seen before):

"Sajjad, don't tell me we're going to visit your dear grandfather."

- Sajjad (fake-coughing, then pointing coldly toward the main door):

"Nazar... we've arrived. Look to the side."

He turns and notices Reemam and Fox—then falls silent.

- Reemam (looking between them, stunned):

"Nazar, are you okay... your eyes?!"

- Nazar (laughing a mechanical laugh, then trying to change the subject):

"Hey, fun! We're going to visit my grandpa...!"

But he and Fox start arguing over who gets out of the car first from the same side.

They enter the palace—Sajjad strides ahead through the outer gate's stairs, with Reemam behind him, while Fox and Nazar are still fighting over who exits the car first.

But she falls silent... then asks him:

"I want... I want to ask you—where...?"

"Where are we going?"

Sajjad is shocked by her words.

"What's wrong with you? This is my home too!" (he replies in shock)

- Reemam (trying to catch up to him, voice trembling):

"Wait... when we get married, will I live here?!"

- Sajjad (suddenly stops, smiling that smile that freezes blood in your veins):

"It seems you really want me to lose my mind... and kill you this time."

— Deadly silence.

Sajjad breaks the silence with calm yet threatening seriousness:

"I advise you to stay away from us... if you wish to live."

His glowing golden eyes pierce through chests with sheer intensity.

- Reemam gasps for air in terror.

As they enter the palace...

[While Reemam and Fox deal with the servants and others, Sajjad leaves them behind, walking alone as they gaze in awe at the palace.]

[He opens the door to the grand palace hall, where eerie candlelight dances across walls engraved with bloody, mysterious symbols. Sajjad advances with heavy steps, his black cloak flowing behind him like a river of darkness.]

Sajjad: (voice cold as ice)

"Head of servants... I want everyone kept away from the west wing tonight."

(He turns toward the window, where a red moon looms on the horizon.)

"Tonight will be... very beautiful."

Head of Servants: (bowing exaggeratedly, his glass eye gleaming with cunning)

"At your command, my lord."

(Muttering as he walks away)

"Will Dreed be among your guests?"

Sajjad: (casting a sideways glance, lips curling into a half-smile)

"Perhaps... and he might bring some lovely gifts."

(Whispering as if revealing a dark secret)

"Don't forget to bring them."

Head of Servants: (chuckling softly)

"Of course... they'll be ready."

[From afar, shadows are seen being dragged through the palace corridors, while the palace bells toll with a mournful sound...]

Sajjad: "Even here, shadows follow me..." (he snaps his fingers)

"I'll deal with them before the pleasant surprise." (with monstrous joy and glee)
