Chapter 22 - CHAPTER 22: UNTITLED

After all, he had known Sonia for a couple of days. He would be considered crazy if he said that out loud.

His friends seeing him continuing to defend this mysterious wife, joined hands and tickled him hard until he was crying for mercy.

As a result, an hour later, the three of them sat quietly without any word spoken and the food had turned cold a very long time ago.

The girls looked at each other and sighed for the umpteenth time before looking at Liam.

Liam knew very well what these girls were thinking but he could only wait until they were done digesting what he had just told them and take it from there.

The girls took a while to digest everything and once they were done. They made Liam sit in between them and Liam knew that the scary moment was about to start.

"Can you show us your wife?"

The girls were curious about that at first. They would judge further later after seeing what kind of beauty the woman Liam married.

Liam didn't dare refuse but obediently took out his phone and hurriedly searched for Sonia online. He didn't have her private photos yet, so he could only look to the internet. The girls seeing what he was doing, nearly smacked the back of his head butt when they thought about how he recently was discharged from the hospital. They could only suppress their fury.

Who marries a wife and fails to have a single photo of her?

They understood that it was a marriage of convenience of some sort but wasn't Liam a bit too unserious?

"Here it is!" Liam's voice disrupted the girls' thoughts, and they eagerly craned their necks to check the woman who made Liam not think clearly and marry in a hurry like that.

They have heard of women being forced into flash marriages due to certain reasons. But a man and their friend to make matters worse, it felt like a scene from a novel.

It was something that usually happened to a woman and not a man and yet their superstar friend had done it.

So, who was this special woman?

And their curiosity was satisfied moments later upon seeing the woman who was on the screen.

"Fuck!"

"Liam, is that your wife?"

Both girls exclaimed at the same time upon seeing the famous mysterious wife they were so eager to scold a moment ago.

How could it be her?

CIRCLE CLUB

In a certain private room, Queen was busy clinking glasses with a handsome man sitting next to her with a flirtatious look which made a few other people inside the room to tease her.

"Madam lawyer, don't you see us here?"

"Hehe, how can she see you? Are you as handsome as George?"

"Haha, how can you tease our elder here?"

The room was filled with endless teasing and laughter. Queen rolled her eyes at her friends before turning to George saying, "Dear, ignore them. They are just jealous that you are so darn handsome. Way better than them!"

This time, George couldn't help but chuckle helplessly as he looked at the woman who stole his heart in many ways.

He playfully flicked her nose earning a teasing from the rest.

After a bit of teasing, someone in the room finally changed the topic, asking curiously, "It's almost time. Where is she?"

Queen placed the glass of wine on the table and checked her wristwatch. "She should be here. If we call her, she might scold."

Upon hearing that, others laughed heartily knowing how Sonia could be at times.

After the hearty laughter, the group didn't stop talking about Sonia but continued, though their questions were directed at Queen.

"So, tell us. How is he? What kind of man is he?"

"How old is he? What does he do?"

"Is he handsome?"

"And how did he manage to convince that ice lady to marry him in such a hurry that she had to just make it to the trending list?"

Queen laughed heartily as she got bombarded with questions from friends and some of them were Sonia's ex-husbands.

If she wasn't Sonia's lawyer, perhaps she would be like them as well. Wondering and dying with curiosity which man made her friend act so rashly like that. Thankfully, that wasn't the case.

Queen squinted her eyes playfully as she played with the wineglass.

George seeing that kind of look on her face, knew that his girlfriend was up to no good but he didn't plan to stop her. After all, that was how these friends always play. It was fun to watch.

"Hehe, I won't say much about him but I can share a few details!" she mysteriously said, whetting her friends' appetite, and they were surely hooked.

"Hurry up and share."

"Um, it will be hard to hear details once Sonia joins!"

"Alas, how can someone be so stingy with words?" they started crying when they thought about how Sonia could be at times.

This time, everyone chuckled as they pictured Sonia in their minds.

After a bit of laughter, Queen started to satisfy everyone's curiosity.

"He is young, handsome and from an industry that one of us here is part of," Queen added mysteriously with a playful smirk as she scanned everyone, her gaze not landing on anyone in particular.

Who made her want to have some fun?

The friends upon hearing that, cried in anguish as they looked at Queen. Everyone was literally doing something different. So which industry was she talking about? Unfortunately, Queen wasn't willing to elaborate on that.

Dong. Dong.

Creak.

And as she was about to share other traits of their fourth brother-in-law, there were two familiar taps on the door before they opened revealing the person that everyone had been waiting for.

"Sonia, you are here!"

 *****

Thirty minutes ago.

A green sportscar neatly parked in the parking lot drawing a lot of attention from both men and women who were outside.

"That looks pretty familiar!"

"Um, it should belong to that playboy!"

"Oh! You mean, Harrison?"

"Who else except him?"

"But … he is not the only one with the same car?"

"Indeed, but that plate. Can't you read it?"

The people outside were busy gossiping as they looked forward to whoever was in the car. A few moments later, the scissor door opened and a long leg made an appearance first before the whole person alighted.

Upon seeing the familiar figure, a lot of people had the 'I knew it,' look.

Harrison took a deep breath as he locked the car. After such a strenuous day, all he wanted to do was have a drink and get rid of the stress.

And this place was the best place for him to relieve the stress. It was private and no matter what kind of person appeared, as long as there wasn't any paparazzi, nothing would leak. That's why it was in a secluded place and expensive as heck.

It was a place where the rich gathered and where ... as he looked around. He found what he was looking for …. Gold diggers and slay queens – those also found their way into such places. After all, they were looking for survival.

These kinds of women weren't to his liking. He preferred those in the entertainment industry. They were beautiful and used their skills to get what they want.
