If the dinner at Jade Garden was a culinary experience of a lifetime for Misha, the evening at the Thorne Mansion was a snippet of life from a different dimension.
Modestly dressed in a white shirt - buttoned properly this time - and a black skirt that fell below the knees, Misha sat in the back seat with James in his SUV. The Emperor said nothing, just looking out the window the entire way from the Thorne Media office to the mansion, but Misha didn't mind. She was excited when the mansion's gate opened, as if she was entering some fairy tale castle, and the vast garden through which the car drove was a true marvel.
Various sculptures were artfully scattered around, seamlessly blending with expansive and perfectly trimmed plantings. The flowers were so vivid in color that they reminded her of that one time she accidentally ate a mushroom she shouldn't have in one of those picnics with the Kharunes in the mountains.
