Chapter 23 - Scent of Khalu

Annabel was looking for reasons. 

Not that she needed any proof that Misha did not deserve her son. That was already an indisputable fact in her mind, justified or not. 

So perhaps more accurately, she was looking to create a collapse, something that would make this insolent girl expose herself as unworthy, so that her clueless husband and infatuated son will see the light and dump this girl back to where she belongs. 

"May I ask you, Ms. Seo, which university you've been to, assuming you did attend one?" This was always a good place to start. 

"I went to the Mountain Plateau University. I studied-"

"I never even heard of such a place before," Annabel cut her off immediately.

"Actually, dear-" Edward was about to say something, but his wife shushed him with her eyes, and continued. 

"And if you didn't know yet, James went to Camford," she announced proudly, enunciating the name 'Camford' with deliberate clarity.
